    ----
A world-renowned fiddler, Martin Hayes is regarded as one of the most significant talents on the planet in the Irish traditional music genre. The music is in his blood, as he has followed in the footsteps of his grandmother (who played the concertina) and his father and uncle, who founded the Tulla Céilí Band. Hayes spent over two decades touring with Dennis Cahill and holds an extensive roster of projects including performances with Paul Simon, Sting, and Yo Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project.
He joins us with soulful interpretations of Irish folk, showcasing his unique sound and astounding, awe-inspiring mastery of his instrument. Sharing songs inspired by many musical genres, he stays grounded in the music he grew up with in County Clare that will have you in the depths of despair at its sadness one minute and dancing in your seat the next.

Hi Kay. They are indeed. We add most programs to our media library for free access five days after, but that will not be the case with any of our Global Rhythms concerts. So if you'd like to watch, you will need to grab a ticket. Hope to "see" you there!
