Definitely all good choices when it comes to eats. Love tacos al pastor in CDMX. We had a great time in CDMX recently trying some of the best street food places around Mexico City. Didn't try the cactus tacos. Maybe next time. Mango con Chile is amazing. Great tips Kevin and video.
Great video. Thanks for adding Nopales to your list. Its the best superfood!!!!! And i love it just grillled salt n some lime juice. So delicious so simple.
You’re not alone Sir, I also prefer pambazos over tacos. I love scrambled eggs with nopales for breakfast too. I agree, roasted nopales are too bland, but mixed with other stuff they’re great, and pretty nutritious too: they’re packed with fiber and vitamins. One snack you missed are “esquites”, cooked white corn served in a cup, with lime, chili powder, and some people like them with mayo and cheese...... great, now my mouth is watering. 🤤
Thanks for this video. I hope you give these type of food recommendations for all the places you have yet to visit. I don't really care for hot spiced food, so is it possible to get some of the dishes you presented without the hot spice? I love Tacos in the hard shell( my favorite kind) but of course they aren't coming from Mexico! Thanks again for sharing this with us all.
Hey Kevin, as Mexican I can tell you did an excellent job describing street mexican food! BTW you may want to check out Lawyer tacos! documented by Peluche Torres in La Garnacha que Apapacha. Mexican food varies from region to region. The dish from my home town is called Cabrito al Pastor, if you are planning to visit Monterrey anytime in the future, I can give you advice on where is best served! Enjoy life, keep smiling! - Elvi
Nopales are not among my favorites things to eat, but I never skip them, they are super healthy and an excellent companion when you eat all those greasy and delicious tacos. believe me, your body will thank you.
I watched this over a lunch of saag paneer and naan hahaha! I’ve had all those foods, except the sandwich, but in Chicago, not Mexico. The sandwich seems like a fried torta. Anyone interested in Mexican cuisine should check out Chef Rick Bayless’s PBS series “Mexico: one plate at a time.” 🌮
I had three girls once and I loved it with the chocolate with the cinnamon sugar and chocolate that was about 2 weeks ago here where I live in El Paso Texas
Mmm, that food! Especially the Al Pastor! Whoa, that sandwich though. I wonder where we can find them in Texas? Check out those views, dude! Keep doing these types of videos! They are great.
All this looks awesome but honestly I am afraid of eating or drinking anything in Mexico...heard too many horror stories. Have you been sick from eating anything on your journey so far?

I have to try it that way! The ones I had didn't have much flavor.
Chilaquiles are the best!! Such a great way to start out the day!
An excuse to eat chips and salsa for breakfast - love em!
Why haven’t more people found your videos? I really enjoy them.
That's so nice of you to say, Kim! I'm not sure :(
I just found your channel, n i just subcribed, helping me a lot to improve my english..

Double-thumbs up to Al Pastor Tacos! And now I'm on a mission to find Pambazos....at 0730. 😆
It’s my favorite
I liked the tortas! My chilaquiles is my fav too!!
I agree tortas are amazing! I need to revise my list! :)
It’s not a food but the agua del dia was maybe my favorite part about CDMX 🍉🥭🥥🍓
Yummy for sure!!!

Believe it or not - none of them were spicy! The food was a lot less spicy in Mexico City than I thought it would be.
Gosh! Just halfway watching it & damn "I am hungry"
That is the best part in Mexico "food" aside from beach. 👍👌🌏
The food is definitely a reason to go to Mexico!!
Mouth watering yum!
So good!

Thank you
You're welcome
Now I’m hungry. I’ve seen the chili powder on pineapple too.
It's sooooo good!
YUM!!!!! I won't forgive Senor Taco tho...
Yes ma'am!!
Will be here in January for 3 days. How do I get the best out of my 3 days and not get overwhelmed?
Hmmmmmm I'd say do the hop on hop off bus tour the first day so you can get the layout of the city. Then go eat!!! And eat!!!
Have you tried aztec burgers??? (Torta de tamal)
No!!! But now I am definitely going to add that to the list! Thanks for the recommendation Rodrigo!
I always hear people say that American Mexican food is no where near as good as true Mexican food. Did you find that to be true?
Yeah, no question.
The real question is: Green or Red chilaquiles?
Can I say both!!!!! If I had to chose....red.
All this looks awesome but honestly I am afraid of eating or drinking anything in Mexico...heard too many horror stories. Have you been sick from eating anything on your journey so far?
I did get a little sick in Mexico - but it was sooooooo worth it!
