    10:45 is an exact example of why black officers and good officers that understand the community are important. He took the time to speak to them respectfully and not ignore them or bring hostility towards them. He demonstrated that he is looking out for their best interest and isnt there to harass or hurt anybody.

      This show brings me back. On Saturday nights in the early 1990s before I’d go out, I’d watch Cops with my grandfather. It brought him back 20 years to his own law enforcement career. He used to comment on what he’d do in the situation.

    A guy like Officer Mike Goosby just got it. He's wasn't swayed by rhetoric, identity politics or trying to prove himself or his "hood Blackness" just because he was Black cop from the hood himself. It's a God blessed miracle he was able to emerge from that environment with a level head and a strong enough will to make it out the hood and succeed. Hats off to him!

      Huge difference, gangs were mad active than todays LA gangs. This was in the midst of the crack era , homicides were sky high. This 94 so homicides started to go down but still higher than any year from 1999-2019 which is considered the great crime decline
