fire214 I beg to differ, it's not a "support unit" it is the dive team's *primary* rig. Even if they actually go out in one of the fast boats (688/689) this has to be there, with all their (necessary) equipment. "support" to me means "extra" or "optional"

the CFD actually has a dedicated Scuba team...?? I thought Squad took care of that.

Both Squad and Scuba team just like how Squad can take care of Hazardous calls like a regular Hazmat, Squad is the type of apparatus that can handle all kinds of rescue

Bascially, any major area with water; lake, river, bay, ocean, etc...has a dive team and/or scuba team. police have them also.

scuba is Self Contained underwater breathing apparatus. The big tanks that scuba divers wear. Just like the tanks ff wear just for under water.
