How tall is this tower?
The original was 65 ft tall and ordered by the park commissioners to be “burned down” then the replica rebuilt… that’s insane 🤔🤔
I will be moving here soon. Never been but it’s looks really pretty and neet downtown.l area.
Looks like footage from the movie "Category 6: Day of Destruction" (2004), except the opening scene in that movie was supposedly in Vegas.

There's no TL30 in Chicago it's H/L 30 or T-30 in the title ksc711 2-1-3

They should also replace that dim LED at the top of the tower with something brighter and more powerful.
The U.S. Coast Guard maintains the light installation as an Aid to Navigation. The brightness and the interval;, etc. are set by the NTSB and must meet published standards. Thanks for your interest.

Can’t wait to see how they start constructing the lettering in the building according to the design. Also a perfect location right by the Museum of Science and Industry. Kind of makes this a second museum campus for the city outside of the one downtown.

You and me both! The group has made me their official drone operator. On this trip a restoration architect took measurements of all interior spaces. This was to document the condition of the spaces BEFORE the group take possession of the property. Lucky for the entire project, the structure is sound and entirely intact.
