    Plantar fasciitis is inflammation caused by excessive stretching and repetitive high-impact activities of the plantar fascia, making runners very susceptible to contracting plantar fasciitis. So what are runners to do? Coach Morgan will take you through the best exercises and mobility stretches to help prevent and ease that inflammation and keep you running healthy.

    It's nice to see some easy exercises to help with plantar fasciitis, and not just being told to wear insoles as the only fix.

    Another tip: You can use a hand massager and use it on your calf muscles to really break up and loosen the calf muscles. Start light for a few days and increase pressure over time. It has worked wonders for me. I’ve also used it very lightly on the plantar tendons. Tread lightly….

    Been trying everything on the net for plantars. Athlete all my life n worse pain ever felt is this shit. That includes 13 broke bones in 33 places, rods, screws etc, this crap hurts... so far everyone seems to be individual huge on this injury. What works for some, dont for others.. 6 different pairs of shoes over 30 insole combinations finally found some relief. Yes stretch calves, toes, daily and balls and ice on bottoms and scrap an anything else that may work voodoo I would not care, crap is sooooooooo painful. Get a good shoe that works for you then damn company discontinues it.. Dont know bout everyone else but so frustrating... but good video. Always learn something.. I liked the toe scrunchies pulling towel deal. That was new. Good luck to anyone has this crap!!!

    I've been struggling with PF for years. I had no issues during training for my first marathon, but guess what happened at mile 3...not 23. Yep, PF paint was so bad that it made me want to sit on the curb. I finished, but it was torture. Thanks for this video; I'll definitely give your recommendations a try.

Is there a general preference for straight leg calf raises or is there merit in bent knee calf raises and / or benefit in doing a mix of both? Don't roll ankles out when going up on balls of feet push into big toes. You weaken the ankles. Holding a tennis ball between the ankles while doing the rises will keep ankles in alignment

    Been dealing with this since September 2020. It goes between 1-3 on the pain scale and seems to come snd go. Rolling it out with a lax ball and the massage gunprovide instant (but temporary) relief. Seems to just never go away. I even got custom orthotics that don’t help

    • @ferretpaint
      @ferretpaint Před 2 lety +1

      Orthotics are a trap really, they relieve the symptom with out fixing the problem. Stronger feet can fix this unless you actually have a persistent injury.
      How do you run? If your calves always hurt, you may be running too far forward on your foot, and not let your heel touch down. If you heel strike you get shin splints eventually, if you run on the balls of your feet, your calves are going to feel it. Try to run mid foot landing and allow yourself to recover just as much as your exercise. And yes, roll those muscles out every time!

  • @franciscoayala-avila8929

    Yes it works thank you so much !

    PF comes from repetitive movement errors, like all other running injuries. RunRx/Pose method will help
    Fancy insoles won’t lessen impact, they increase it while dampening the sensation
