I randomly heard this song on CZcams in like 2014, and then it got removed not long after. I tried searching for it over the next few years and couldn’t find it. Then finally I was listening to Spotify today and it played with recommended shuffle playlist after I had just finished work on during my drive home. Then I yelled “Breakadawn!!!,De la soul!! I finally found it again!” with a smile on my face. I’m so happy they have the rights to their music again. God bless em’.😊

This song has always been my favorite De La track, but it has more weight after December of ‘22, where it helped me get through a difficult period in my life, and after Dave’s passing. Absolutely phenomenal beat; ethereal, and otherworldly! Fantastic storytelling, and flows. It has such a bittersweet feeling that elevates my Soul, like it’s saying “life sucks now, but it will get better.” Amazing
