      What do you mean by 'major class'? Are you referring to natural classes of sounds?

      Metathesis likely exists in every language. I would expect you could find many instances of metathesis in your language (what language is it) as well.

    aks is not a metathesis, aks has existed and survived in English since Chaucer, terrible classic example
