I completely agree with you on how I don't collect any graded cards. Just collecting raw singles for a complete binder set for fun and we'll see how it goes in the future
I just recently traded/sold a lot of my collection for an ultra prism box and a gold star pikachu. Also bought and graded lost Abyss Tina in psa 10. I personally collect Japanese trainers, but I agree with the rest of your list!

Totally agree with getting a sealed 151 booster bundle display case when they get cheaper. It went to $350 on Ebay, but that's still seems way too high. Seems like 151 will get more than 1 reprint so I'm going to wait until they are $250 before purchasing.
Slowly stocking still with minor money vs you hahaa but it will all add up over the years, etbs for me and some special collection boxes but only very specific ones that have evolving skies in or are receiving well like Arceus figure box

I would honestly only buy psa 10s for modern. The 8s and 9s sell so slow. I absolutely love vintage though. If you go vintage try and get the 1st edition

Actually just posted a video on my channel last night about some sketchy eBay shill bids on a bunch of Celebrations and 151 UPC cases even a Evolutions case and a bunch of single booster boxes i was watching hoping to pick up. Looked a little deeper to find some serious shill bidding turned me off quickly. Really wanted them to be fair.
I can give you a couple of reasons. 1. If it comes back 8 or 9, you will be disappointed and not enjoy the card as much as raw or a 10. 2. A psa 8 is worth less than raw now and even some psa 9s. 3. It costs money to grade that you could be spending on other cards. 4. It gets cheaper the more cards you send in, so it's better to save them up. 5. If you have completed sets in binders like i do, there's nothing more annoying than having some of the cards graded, and you have empty spots in your binder forever. If you put your card in a sleeve and a top loader or card saver it won't get damaged.

Hidden Fates ETBs are a guaranteed 3X soon. I remember in late 2020 when they'd shot all the way up to nearly $300 an ETB and then we got the massive ETB reprint that brought prices right back down to $125. I think it's one of the top 3 most popular sets in all of Pokemon TCG history. Other than Evolutions, I don't think there's a set that people went as crazy over. The Japanese 151 hype is similar, but Hidden Fates was the only set anyone even wanted from late 2019 until almost 2021. People didn't even like Team Up or Cosmic Eclipse relative to Hidden Fates during that time lol. Edit: I have 12 Hidden Fates ETBs that I grabbed in late 2021 that are some of my favorite items in my collection. One of the good things about stocking up on sets you truly believe are special, beyond the price appreciation, is knowing you can open packs at the reasonable price you paid any time you want lol. That's also why I recently grabbed a few cases of sealed Crown Zenith boxes at half of MSRP.
Whenever someone says guarantee, I laugh. Nothing is guaranteed. Hidden fates hasn’t moved in 3 years. Something has to bring people back or remind them about it. Once the levy breaks though, the moon is the limit.

You realize that a Beckett 10 is a completely different grade than a PSA 10? Beckett 10 is a Pristine Grade and EXTREMELY hard to get with a Black Label being near impossible. Beckett 9.5 is a Gem Mint.
Beckett has a black label 10 and a regular gold 10. That's the entire problem is that you think they're separate grades. They aren't and they shouldn't be. A 10 should be a 10.

They make nice little plastic cases for etbs and booster boxes. So for the more high priced stuff I always do that. Otherwise lots of bubble wrap

You realize that a Beckett 10 is a completely different grade than a PSA 10? Beckett 10 is a Pristine Grade and EXTREMELY hard to get with a Black Label being near impossible. Beckett 9.5 is a Gem Mint.
