You don’t put your hands in an incubator overnight after washing them. In order to conclude air drying your hands without the machine, you would have to show how much broke would be on the hand under the same conditions and variables
When I was using the hand dryers at work I noticed that my eczema got worse. I ran across this video and stopped using hand dryers and my eczema cleared up immediately. These machines do spread germs.
Not enough control experiments imo. Blow an agar dish with a used hair dryer of similar airflow as these hand dryers at your bathroom at home and i bet you'll get fairly similar results.
This reminds me of a test I had to do in middle school, and doesn't paint the full picture. Using petri dishes, we had to figure out whether not washing your hands, or washing your hands with soap would result in more bacteria growth on the dish. We found that we had less bacteria colonies growing on the petri dish representing unwashed hands. This has to do with the fact that washing your hands with soap will get rid of oils and the likes, which have formed a barrier between the surface of your skin and the outside world. Underneath which plenty of important / favorable bacteria still live, simular to how we have plenty of micro organisms living inside of us that help our bodies. It's important to know in that regard whether there are positive bacteria living on that petri dish, or bad ones causing disease. However on-topic: It's obvious though that public places, such as public bathrooms, that plenty of people use, would contain more bacteria. Plenty of people come walking through on any given day after all. Not a surprising result, but it doesn't have to mean that a place is also immediately dirty / an infection hotspot. You should try the experiment with washed hands vs unwashed hands for yourself to see if I'm right!
As a hand dryer enthusiast I really do not give a shit about this test, I haven’t got sick from a hand dryer even in extremely dirty places, my advice is to use hand dryers as they’re more efficient(unless it’s an ATC Cub Junior, you’re better off shaking your hands)
How many times do you have to wave your hands around for them to dry? Unless people carry around paper to dry your hands, you’re going to end up touching a dirty door handle.
The gym has sanitizer spray you clean the equipment you use before and after use. Never trust the person before you wiped down the equipment. It's on you if you aren't sanitizing what you touch. I've used this method for 15 years and never got sick from the gym.
@@dontcare7086 you can't swab weights in most gyms, you're gonna get thrown out. Maybe yours they let you do that which is great but the ones I've been to chuck people out for doing it. I just lift and then thoroughly sanitize/wash my hands right after. Never got sick from the gym.
Surprising that the Dyson hand dryer has a bit of germs, considering it’s using high pressure air and not hot air/evaporation to dry your hands and still has germs. It’s still a massive decrease in germ production tho so they’re onto something I guess
It's so annoying that reposts of this and lazy "reaction" videos that don't even credit or link the original creator get more likes and comments. You should check out some guy called "the manny show" he made a "reaction video" where he just ate food the whole time. And when I checked the description it was full of links to his own stuff.
heyyyyy im doing a stem fair project and i would like to do this. I have a question tho is that a petri dish or something else and where can i get them.
Ik I’m really late and probably aren’t even answering this correctly but what’s in the container is good for the bacteria. So probably anything that has good food for them.
Our body is much dirty than the machine. So, it's fine. Toilet is also cleaner than some part of our body. The machines are totally fine and no problem. Our mouth is dirty enough. These kinds of experiments are just stupid. :)
Your really trying to make us hate hand dryers, As a hand dryer enthusiast, I think test is very bad, Just as long as you dry your hands thoroughly with a hand dryer, It will be okay, Except if it’s a newer JD MacDonald Applause, Just shake your hands off.

Idk man going your whole life avoiding germs which are probably harmless seems tiring

incubators will often just set the temperature at about the same as the human body temperature
I was taught to not use the air dryers and I'm so happy I haven't used them
Have fun killing the environment. Ive never gotten bacteria or sick from these. This is false advertising.
Me too
Finally, I found the ORIGINAL clip!!!
You know? Your clip was steal and not add the credit.
Can you give the source please?
Can you tell name or channel of original creator please?

Idk I feel like my body resistance to air dryer bacteria all these helped me fight off coronavirus
I just scrunch my hair (curly) as a refresher

and one more thing i think thier is two controls for me becuase if I were to go to every location to air dry i would have to test it every where
Can you do gym dumbell weights?
Hey, Scott! Why is the weather? Gooood!

after seeing the first one, I don't use air dryers if I can help it. I just shake my hands dry or use paper towels.

Can you put this under a microscope? I would love to see what bacteria/fungus is cultured?

@phonesoap what about the hand dryers that have the uv light. Have you seen those?
How was the 2nd Xlerator (store Hand dryer) cleaner than the 1st Xlerator. They’re the same dryer
The 2nd one is probably HEPA filtered.

But arent the paper towels also dirty from just being in the bathroom and close to the toilet
Okay well, thats if you dont wash your hands for 3 days so i think im still good

Where do you get those ? I would also want some for home use. Thanks
So is this happening because they don’t replace the filters regularly enough or…?
Came here from Daily Dose of Internet, nice job getting featured!
😧😧😧😧😧😧..."Okay, now that's disgusting!"
Did you use that one where you put your hands through
What about driers with blue light?
From the top I saw a video of when someone was drawing their hands with it and chopped their hand off
Now do the door handle👁️👄👁️
well that’s just GREAT
How germy is the air from our lungs?
yeah but waving your hands dry is still horrible because it leaves all the bacteria on your hands that would have been removed by drying
They have filters in them they are mean to change.
which media is that
does anybody know what that red stuff is?????????????? is it soap??????
Behold, kirby fish
Now test the spores in the dish and find out exactly what it is
Who else watched this video from the maniishow ✋
Can you do air pumps at convenience stores???
Can u do 1942
Ima just put this here
🧫
Don't use a hand dryer because it gives you backteria
Nooo I've sued an air dryer before!
I'd rather air dry and use toilet paper if there aren't any paper towels around. I refuse the airdryers.

@freeuserdata But paper towels are very bad for the environment.
