BTS dropped their most intimate FESTA dinner party video yet to coincide with the release of their new album, Proof, and it's an hour long emotional rollercoaster ride! Watch me react to the highs and the lows of this shockingly honest and raw BTS festa! There was some speculations they were on a hiatus or even that BTS is breaking up, but they spelled it out pretty clearly in this hour long Festa video!! 🤩

Hey guys! 👋 I hope you really enjoy this reaction, and not just because I was up until 2AM finishing it 😅 I went into this video with a slight sense of trepidation both as a BTS fan and someone that has dedicated a lot of time to making content about them, worried about what their surprising reveal would mean to me and for me. In hindsight, perhaps I shouldn't have worried, because BTS always makes their content wholesome and healing. While I can't claim to be as famous or talented as these guys, I related a lot to their discussions on self discovery and creative frustrations, and I actually think this video, rather than being sad, is incredibly powerful.
In a way it was a weird wakeup call for me, because just as they had been losing a sense of direction with their music, I have been losing a sense of direction with my videos. It gave me the confidence and the insight to believe in myself and to also believe that I have much more to give, and that I am not 'stuck', either in my content or my viewership. I'm looking forward to the future again, and getting back to streaming and evolving my content further, just as I'm sure BTS are looking forward to their new chapter in their own creative discoveries.
I want to thank each and every one of you for being here, whether you have been here since the start, or you found my channel today. I never want to take my audience for granted and it means a lot to me that I can spread (hopefully) some good vibes and positivity into the world, using BTS as template and a temple for wholesomeness. So please like, subscribe, SEND ME YOUR F*****G MONEY, and stick around, because like BTS, I'm just getting started 😎💪💜

I have watched this video several times now, all the way through, until I didn't think I could stand to do it again. But now that I am convinced they are not truly going on a 1 Direction "hiatus", I can watch it again...but only with a few favorite reactors. I will watch it with you because you have made me laugh out loud, all alone in a room, and that is something I really appreciate (and am vaguely embarrassed about)!!

tattoo update: they are planning to all get little "7" tattooed this year. so far we know that namjoon has it inside of his right ankle, Hobi - back of his left ankle above the achilles tendon, Jin - left ribs area, Jimin - inside of his left index finger. Jk and Tae are planning to get it later, Yoongi is as always a mystery guy lol

I still cried a little bit (like how can anyone not cry when Namjoon starts crying???) but now that things are more clear and that my mind is less confused I can get excited and happy for this new chapter. It hurt so much to know that they were going through a hard time, at the moment I watched it felt like a truck had ran over me several times my heart was hurting so much it felt like crying was the only thing I knew how to do (looking back it sounds dramatic but this is how it went for me). But to know that they chose to do what's healthier and what makes them happy is the most comforting thing bc now they can heal and feel better and be proud about the things they do. Hobi's album will come out next month and he'll have his solo debut as a headliner in Lollapalooza!! Jungkook will also release a song this month with Charlie Puth and from the snippet I heard it sounds amazing... we'll still have a lot of content from bts but this time 7 times more and I'm really looking forward to seeing everything they're preparing to us and knowing even more each one of the boys and their styles 💜

SINCERITY, SINCERITY, in everything they do, everything they say, every time they perform, humble and sincere is what they are. This 74 year old great grandmother fell in love with them 4 years ago because of their amazing talent but their sincerity sealed the deal. I hurt that they gave up their youth to make their fans happy. They deserve to live freer, they deserve a rest, they deserve to have the time to learn how to be "one". "someday" is a mistranslation
what subs say: we promise we will return *someday* even more mature than we are now
what jungkook actually said: *the day we come back* to you after improving one level further *will come, it surely will*
I DONT KNOW who and how was translating this dinner, but there are a lottttt of such small inaccuracies that completely change the sentiment. like the word "hiatus" that was actually never said, or "give us a blessing" was actually "keep supporting us please" which are quite similar, but nonetheless the first one is "okay i will go then it was nice to meet you for the last time" while the second one is "ima gonna do new stuff but you stay please with me" if i exaggerate it you know?

Being in an industry based on giving your effort & energy for others where holidays don't exist & you get maybe 1 or 2 days actually off a year really takes it out of you. I completely understand & support them taking some time to recharge. I've only recently got out of retail & it's been so freeing to actually have public holidays now & actually have a weekend. It's amazing how dehumanising it is to be so run down. I hope they can feel lighter & take their time. We ARMY will always support them in their journey 💜

On that last point you made about you finding out on twitter and it feeling like a punch, that happened to a LOT of Armys due to the distorting and twisting of words that the media has made of this Festa dinner talk. When you actually watch the video, what they are saying is very nuanced and reasoned and it's a positive thing, but the media made it sound terrible like it's the end of BTS and a lot of people suffered because of it. RM did not take this well, he is very protective of the members and Army, so he posted a letter on weverse the next day where he calls out the journalists and people who have been putting their nose into Armys and BTS' businesses without understanding our bond and journey at all. I would really recommend reading RM's letter because he adds even more details and it's just SO nice to know he will always have our back and protect us. JK also had a Vlive the day after and addressed this again, saying they are NOT disbanding and everything is fine and then washed the dishes online and did some karaoke as you would expect lol

Things Namjoon is saying in this FESTA are something he has been expressing for years. He has expressed his problem with the Idol routine, even in their real early days in a song. Same with Butter and Dynamite, where he kept saying they don't really have any deep meaning to them whenever an interviewer asked about the songs. I could tell it was something he emphasized on.
Maybe to hint that they have songs that means more, or show that he is aware of its simpleness. I don't know of course, but he rarely failed to say that those songs didn't have a deep meaning to them.
But I am glad he really got to express his feelings on the matter, feelings he might have bottled up for a long time, or felt like he wanted but was unable to express to ARMY.
But although it was heartbreaking to see him cry, and learn that BTS has again struggled so much behind the scenes. I am truly happy and proud of their choice and honesty, it cant have been easy.
And I am super excited for their solo stuff. J-Hopes album coming first, and Jungkook has a collab with Charlie Puth as well.
(and I can not forget JKs living situation! lmfao)
I am glad they could give you a sense of confidence Comedian! I always enjoy your videos whenever I watch them. I am not an everyday viewer, but I always come back to you💜

i respect them so much for being true to what they want BTS to be. once they felt like they can't go like this anymore, that they've lost the direction, they decide to do what's needed to continue in future to be honest in their art. musicians, real musicians they are. they could have just winged it - they have the success and the support system to just go release banger after banger without carrying about it much, but they don't want to make BTS this kind of unit.
Black Swan hits really different, when you think that Map of The Soul album was supposed to be the last one before this break that they needed to stay true to their art. they wanted to have a huge tour, to see army and to let as many armys as possible meet them before starting full solo activities. but pandemic happened, and i feel like they just couldn't leave us like that, when everyone was lost, they probable felt the most pressure to be the support we all needed at that time, so they pushed through it, delayed their own needs until it couldn't go like this anymore. i am happy that they were able to have a small ptd tour to solace their longing hearts and that now they can freely go and live life, experience new things, grow, evolve, mature, re-discover themselves
most of the armys watching this dinner aired cried not because we sad there won't be ot7 music anytime soon, but because we were heartbroken that they suffered like this, and in silence. i wish this relationship between bts and army was... easier on them. we want their music because we love it and we love them and it's one of the main, one of the deeper lines of communication with them for us, so obviously we all were waiting so much for the new album after BE happened, and it was almost 2 years ago. but knowing now what it was for them, behind the scenes, i feel guilty and demanding, and i wish they shared it with us earlier. they are scared we won't accept it, but i think bts and army relationship is more than just "i want your music - i give you music - you give me money", it's a friendship. and sometimes i can't do the right thing for my friend unless they tell what they are going through. even if it's hard to tell. i just wish it was easier

  • @erume5776

i just want to say this: though bts were always an advocate for improving yourself, making healthy decisions for yourself, and though i was always like "yeah agreed!", it was still hard to follow these mottos. i understood why is it right and important, but 350 out of 365 days i was not my best and didn't have motivation or energy to change that. somehow them stepping back and with opened hearts telling us why, despite all the fears and anxiety about how it will affect their band images and our lives too, this inspired me more than anything to make some firm steps for myself too. if they are talking their time now to re-discover themselves and mature, i can do something as well. better myself instead of drowning in self pity waiting for their next ot7 comeback. if i chose the latter, they will comeback as even more amazing humans while i'll still be a moss stuck to the chair. in a sence i want to live up to them, so i won't regret this time later, so i will be able to say "me and bts, we both did well"
it also makes me less sad. bts are starting their solo activities, i am starting myy solo activities too. this way it feels less scary that we will grow apart. i an still on the same wave as them, it's just different times. if they can brave these changes for the brighter future, i will try too

I felt this way too. When I watched this for the first time, the second the video was over, I made some very important phone calls regarding my future that I had been putting off for months, afraid that I would not be good enough for the path I wanted to take. If BTS want to become better, more mature people, then so do I. And when eventually, we can all meet as ARMY and the seven members of BTS again, I want us all to be proud of each other 💜

Oh man- I woke up to the chaos about it on the day. And then I came and watched the video for myself and I was like- "Wait, why are people acting like they're disbanding?" I mean, i understand that several of the translations are off and some of them do make a difference. But it doesn't fully take away from what they were saying. They've been running non-stop for years and it's okay to take time to catch their breath. I'm so happy for them because they should put their well-being first. They really put Army before themselves because they saw we needed hope during the pandemic. They have healed us and supported us the best they can and I think it's Army's turn to do the same. I can't wait to support each one of their solo endeavers, I can't wait to see what musical styles they'll try or what shows they'll be on- anything. I also believe them when they say they plan on coming back together. We can't know everything, we just have to trust them. Honestly, the only reason I was upset and actually still cried watching this for the fifth time, is just knowing they were hurting. Army loves them because they're human, we'd never be upset with them for that.

You know what. I just thought of something.
Map of the soul was supposed to be their last album before the break. They didn’t go on that break because of COVID.
But think about Black Swan. All about losing passion for music, and actually taking time to look inside and “see yourself” like they sing in the lyrics.
This break is BTS’s Black Swan. They experienced their first death before launching all the English singles and from there they just lost a little bit of themselves along the way.
I am just so happy they are honest with us.
But seriously. Looking back to Black Swan’s lyrics it’s just CRAZY how they were saying everything they said in this festa back then, when they released it

Its healthy to have their own private stuff, we cant be all open book all the time... we know they are sincere and honest with us, even when they say they cant do it all th etime like they ar ejust sooo human. BUT i do think they will comeback since they are bestfriends like their relationship is out of this world, ive never seen a relationship like that. And they take BTS so seriously, and thats why they want BTS to mean soemthing more than just an "awesome abnd who performs the best"

There are things you said that I would like to comment on, some really insightful and amazing stuff you said, but if I babbled on about those things, this would turn into an actual novel, so I will leave those types of comments for others to make. I hope you understand. All in all, this was a very good-and in a lot of ways, helpful-reaction, which I want to thank you for.
Anyway, I’ll just leave my thoughts about this whole thing on here for you and for anyone else who might need a bit of reassurance right now. Most of this I’ve already said to my other ARMY friends, so I'm repeating myself and copy-pasting a lot of it, but I think it’s necessary for me to say this for a larger audience as well.
First of all, after the Festa Dinner, a lot of people (mostly media) took their words out of context, or completely ignored what they actually said in order to misinterpret the message BTS wanted to convey just to cause a stir and get clicks-they spread a false narrative of them disbanding, etc. but Jungkook set the record straight on Vlive the next day:
”There was so much news about ’BTS breaking up’ or ’BTS stopping all activities’ and I wanted to clear that up on this Vlive. We still have a lot to do as a group. We just got together and talked comfortably about our future plans. It meant that we were going to have some individual work coming up, and definitely not that we weren’t going to perform as BTS anymore. We are not going to disband. We still have a lot of work to do as a group, and we’re going to keep doing more in the future. So you don’t have to worry about that at all. I just thought I should make this clear. BTS is forever. We are not disbanding. We’re not stopping all activities either. We’re going to keep shooting Run BTS, too. Personally, the members, we all have our own… I’m sure this is the same for you, too, but when you’re tired or worn out, you tend to feel like you’re stuck in the same spot. And even though that moment came a long time ago, we were in the middle of so many things so we kept going on but like we said, we feel like now is the time. So it’s like a break so we can gather back our energy. We need power to keep going. And as individuals, we’re going to do what we each need to do, and we also need to develop things. We can show you a lot more with the energy that we build up while we take a break. We can show you a lot more diversity. It’s like a new plan for us. But it doesn’t mean that we’re not doing anything as a group. Please understand that’s not what we mean. BTS forever. ARMY forever. You know that, right? We’re going to be forever.” (Note: Jungkook kept chuckling a lot as he spoke, and seemed very confused about all the headlines, like even just the thought of them disbanding was silly to him lol)
Things are going to be different for a while, but like Jungkook (and Yoongi, too, in this video) said, they’re not disbanding. They’re just exhausted by the amount of work they’ve been doing until now, and they want to go at a slower pace and put BTS’s music on hold for a bit. They want to use this time to rediscover themselves and put out their solo music that they’ve all been working on throughout these past few years as actual albums instead of just mixtapes, for all the reasons they listed in this video. It’s just a period of recharging themselves, and rejuvenating their passion for music, so that when they do come back with more BTS music, it’ll actually be something they can proudly release out into the world, and not something they had to force out because the industry wants them to churn out new BTS music every few months.
And think about this-most western artists will release one album every 2,3,4, or even 5 years. BTS has been releasing minimum 1 to 2 albums per YEAR since 2013 (not even including all the mixtapes and free soundcloud songs) up until 2021, when they still released singles, OSTs etc. They haven’t had time to grow and experience life in between making music, so they don’t have anything to talk about in their lyrics anymore-not as a group, and not in a way that would fit the style of BTS. So they’re taking a little bit of time to limit their group activities to things like filming Run BTS, while their music will focus on them as individuals because that’s what they need right now. They’ll finally be able to take a bit of time to go at their own pace, rest a little, and gain new experiences, so that when they eventually come back as seven to make more music again, they can start running toward an actual goal, and they will have so much more to say, and so many more stories to tell.
I feel so immensely proud of the boys, and so incredibly honored that they trusted us enough to make the announcement in this manner. I feel guilty for having been an unintentional burden on their shoulders, because they’ve felt like they couldn’t take a break from running for our sakes. I wrote this on Weverse and Twitter as well, but all I want is for BTS to be happy, and healthy, and safe. And I don’t give a flying fuck what that happiness looks like for them-whether it’s working or taking a break to rest-because all I care about is that they ARE happy. To me, they aren’t a product that I consume-they are simply seven human beings who I love and care about deeply, so what they do, and what direction they decide to take their career doesn’t matter to me, as long as they are doing what makes them happy.
Namjoon said in an interview last year that they’ve been researching about how to stay as musicians long-term. He also said that they want to eventually be ”Bangtan papas”. They want to still be BTS 10, 20, 30 years from now. Like he said in this video, his only hope is for BTS to last a long time, and for BTS to last, they need to find their own identities again, so that when they come back as a group, they’ll have a stronger foundation to work off of, and the strength to run again. But if they kept going as hard as they have until now, if they kept working themselves to the bone with no time to rest, and no time to be by themselves and grow as people, they would’ve completely burnt out, they would’ve begun to resent the work they do, and they could’ve lost their passion for music altogether.
Namjoon also once said that he feels like all the members are traveling on the same boat, looking in different directions, but headed for the same destination. Right now, they’re focusing on their own thing, but the goal is still the same for all of them-being together, and being BTS, for as long as possible. The best is truly yet to come, because once they hone their craft by putting out solo albums, and work to perfect their own individual skills, they will be an unstoppable force when they gather as seven again.
And, I do also have to say this: I am so, so proud of ARMY too. What BTS have created here is not just another fanbase, but a community. The second we got the news, the first thing we did was seek comfort from each other, and make sure ARMY was doing okay. We started planning Run BTS marathons, movie nights, listening parties, and so on. We started group chats and reached out to each other. We wrote encouraging messages to BTS on Weverse and Twitter, and we made sure that they knew that even though many of us find change scary, we could never, ever, be disappointed in them. All we care about is their happiness. We will be able to enjoy this period of change, and cheer for the boys no matter the journeys they decide to embark on, while looking forward to new content and patiently waiting for them to do music as seven again, because we truly are not walking alone.
There are inevitably going to be those who take advantage of this situation, and try to force a narrative that benefits them, but we, ARMY, will proceed as we always have: by listening to and trusting BTS, above all else. Those of us who have been here for many years, who have witnessed it all, who have been through all the trials and tribulations with BTS, and who know them beyond what information is available on the surface, trust them and their words 100%. Namjoon already touched on this in his letter, so I won’t get into it too much, but for anyone here, in this comment section, who might be feeling strong emotions about all the articles that twisted their words, or about the people who have exploited their moment of vulnerability to further their own agendas, I want to tell you: trust Bangtan. Listen to Bangtan. Continue to support and cheer them on, and let’s get through this together. Like Taehyung told us in his Weverse post, ”Now is the beginning of our healthy footsteps that is an effort to stay as Bangtan for a long time so I believe that ARMYs will love that side of us as well. ARMY and Bangtan are connected by a purple string so look at us a long long time so that the string doesn’t break and that the color's richness lasts a long time. We really love ARMYs a lot.”
And like Namjoon said, he just wants to be together, perform together, and be happy without thinking of the rules of the world. And in order for them to be BTS, and in order for them to show us the best that is yet to come, they need to spend some time as Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook.
    ARMY forever, Bangtan forever 💜
(apologies for the egregiously long comment)

I was a huge fan of a certain boyband that went on a "hiatus" and never came back, so admittedly, when i first watched the festa dinner (it was after I read the news), my thoughts were so clouded by the sadness I felt about everything going on, and the whole dinner felt so bittersweet.
But watching your reaction, and the things you've said...like it made me realise just how reassuring the dinner actually is. Like (after i got over my sadness) i WAS excited for what they've got next, but your reaction is now making me even MORE excited, and I'm a lot more comfortable with this news that they're going to do different things now.
So thank you, for putting things into a different, much nicer perspective.

same! and now there is more info from their vlives and letters after we freaked out, and they freaked out that we were freaking out, and Koreans are correcting "hiatus" to "off season period". (DKDKTV) So I've gone from afraid and devastated to "OMG how am I going to save for 7 concert tours and 7 albums and merch? I didn't have time to be a multi-stan when they were one unit!!" I can't wait until they're each filling stadiums or whatever else they get up to.

I wish more ARMY would watch this because I think your thoughts would reassure them 💜 I thought similar thoughts when I watched this. As an artist myself I think that any person who wants to be a master of their craft knows that they can't keep doing the same thing. They have to keep trying new things, learn from others, and get out of their comfort zones to grow as an artist. I think BTS will come back as masters of their crafts when they do this exploration on their own. We know they will never leave each other and will always make art together.

I first want to say that I've watched a LOT of people react to BTS content (because I like watching people discover our guys), but there are few reactors I continue to watch after the first couple of reactions because there usually just isn't a lot of substance. I had not planned on watching Festa a second time, but when I saw that you were going to react, I decided I'd go through it again and that's because you always have something intelligent to say and you also make me laugh. I just thought I'd like for you to know that you are appreciated. If other people complain about you talking, they can find another reactor who oohs and awws to their satisfaction. Please don't change your reactions for those people.
As for the boys, I was thrilled to hear them say they were taking a break to pursue solo activities. It does sound like they truly intend to perform as BTS again some day and, in the meantime, we get the chance to watch them explore themselves creatively. I am so happy for them. The only thing that upset me is that they obviously had a hard time coming to this decision and worried that ARMY would be disappointed... as if that's possible. I also can imagine that there are lots of mixed emotions stepping away from something they've done their entire adult lives. But ARMY's overall response has been amazing and I hope it gives our boys the confidence to step into their next chapter and find their joy.

When they said abt the reactions to butter dynamite and ptd they were talking abt the hatred the eng trilogy recieved, ppl saying it took away their identity of being korean. And that felt unfair for them. They were burned out, but where also scared to take the break as a grp and start solo albums too, becs they were scared of disappointing army and ppl around. For eg this festa dinner itself made global media go crazy reporting they are disbanding, they hated each other, making it a sensational item poking fun even. RM reading all this wrote a long ketter to army saying he was visibly affected the pic of him crying being posted and twisted and turned and words put in their mouth
To armys, they will remain active as grp they will film content, + they will be officially promoting solo content. Grp music will me later but that day will come. JK even came on live abt how theyre not disbanding and he doesnt evn have a thought like that, becs of the mess the media made

    • @Nelle606
      @Nelle606 Před 2 lety +1

Interesting. I interpreted RM's comments about Dynamite, Butter and PTD differently. I thought he was saying that he felt it was unfair that the English songs brought them so much fame and attention and radio play instead of their Korean songs. They had minimal input on the English songs, they didn't write those songs, the non-English speaking members couldn't really add anything to the lyrics -- these were not their message. These are the songs that made them start to wonder who they were.

Not gonna lie, still had to postpone for a day watching this just to built up courage to watch it again. But yeah I've had time to process the initial sadness and truthfully I ended up at the same place and conclusion you did. I am happy for them and excited, it's absolutely normal and better for them to have some distance.
I don't think anyone here has been living and working with their roomates for over 10 years in very intense schedule, even with family living together to the age of 30 or so you just need some space at some point. They need this time to explore their individuality, plus there is the issue of military enlistment that I think is pretty clear coming up. Jin has to leave for his service by Decemeber and Suga by March next year, so having them release solo while some members are in military makes perfect sense.
I am excited for what's to come and truly do believe they will come back together later for some activities. They clearly have a lot of love for each other and respect and that is the kind of bond that can't be erased by time and a little bit of distance.
Thank you so much for this reaction, and I'm sorry you did not get to experience the knews as it should have been, sitting down and watching this first. Twitter and media has sensationalised this annoucement so much and turned it into something it absolutely was not.

This video was such a mix of emotions. Although I must say I guessed that this year and for a few more to come this would be their stratergy/concept. Ig it's because they kept hinting at the WE/ME concept all throughout the last few years, I'd guessed they would have a mini album with 3-4 songs and then each member would release full albums, but what I didn't know is the heartbreaking struggle they went through to come to this decision. I love their music and I want to listen to what their hearts want to convey, I don't mind that it will take them time to have something to say cohesively as a group because all families need some time apart to love and understand each other and themselves some more. I am also very angry at the fact the boys felt their words were twisted and intention manipulated by the media for selfish gain. -- people in my life have been asking about BTS disbandment and even if I try to convince them it's not true, it just looks like I'm in denial 🙄

42:45 regarding them not looking at him, I actually think that's very common when ppl talk abt sth deeper/ serious. Like when my friend used to tell me abt some serious stuff in her life I would just blankly stare ahead while listening, to the point where she's asked me whether *I'm* okay. So I think they're just listening and thinking abt what RM is saying and probably how that affects them all or sth.. Like I guess it's a very emotional topic for them, so naturally they'd feel pretty intensely abt it, they probaby don't wanna interrupt him with comments/ don't know what to say etc, and I guess sometimes that looks like just blankly staring ahead?
    Maybe idk
    Also they're drunk xD
And in any case RM has been doing solo stuff for a while already so I don't see that being a problem + I think he's not so much talking abt making more solo stuff, but more about doing less group stuff. Like he doesn't really know what to do as a group at the moment, so the consequence would be more solo stuff (to figure yourself out and what you want for the future etc), and not the other way round, where the desire to make solo music destroys the group dynamic u know (I hope that made sense lol)

About the world’s rules, I think it’s the circumstances, gatekeeping, and just being citizens of their country (not about the company or whoever). BTS couldn’t have a full concerts in Seoul as they were forced to limit 15k out of a 70k capacity stadium, army not allowed to sing, cheer, chant, clap, or even stand during the shows. The rules really sucked the life/magic of their concerts. 1-2 wks after, the soccer game in the same stadium was allowed for full (fuller) capacity, allowed to shout/cheer, and stand. What happened? Discrimination. Whoever determined the rules, obviously see in their minds is that BTS are idols therefore have female fans = slap on restrictions. Soccer/sports, mostly male fans… they’re allowed… so probably seem as more important 😤 The Run BTS (and Born Singer) song did not pass censorship review due to swear words/language, etc. So far they haven’t performed Run BTS yet, probably due to this. Billboard charts keep moving the criteria in attempt to make it harder for BTS get #1 all the time and Grammys is… 🙄 too many rules and gate keeping in this world.

I also want to add speaking of Dynamite/Butter/PTD, this was not planned. It was because of the pandemic, which caused their epic tour (they had huge plans) to be canceled to perform/promote ON & MOTS7 was ruined. RM even said they were planinh it for about year, all squashed because of COVID. The decision to release an english came later (July?) bc really liked Dynamite & thought they can lift army’s spirits. So one thing lead to another. Their pandemic years seem to be focused on promoting their english songs and hopefully win a Grammy. You can see how all of that would make BTS sort of lose themselves over time. For one thing, these songs did not originate from their own ideas/voices though they made it theirs and performed the heck out of them. Really, 2020 was truly devastating for them and into 2021, worked schedules that are not their usual music-forward stuff, and they tried to keep going and testing yhe waters if they can perform live in person in 2021. They finally got to later end of 2021 in LA Nov/Dec.

I think there's always the possibility of them ending the group for good. As in any group, anything can happen in life, but if anything there's less possibilities now cause if they had to keep pushing themselves they would have reached the point of break in a short time. This is a win win for everyone but especially for them and that's what matters.

I'm thinking 5yrs. 5 yrs to properly mature personally and musically, do their military duty, set up their lives to their liking and establish each of themselves as artists in their own right. They're basically back to debut. The fans will not be as much as a group. BTS the group is worldwide known but a lot of the public don't know them personally. I think they need to do this. Bts became so big as a group. Can each member become just as big individually? Idk but I kinda feel they need to prove to themselves that they can do it. That they deserve their fame. Honestly speaking I think at the end of establishing themselves individually in the industry that they're gonna be forces to reckon with. Then those powerhouses are gonna come back together as BTS. I can't wait.
p.s: anyone think Tae may go into fashion? He has the eye for it. I could be wrong but he has always had an appreciation for fashion. If he can convince Kookie (yes I still call him that it's a 10yr nickname so a little difficult to shake off) to draw any designs he may have in his head maybe we'll get a line designed by him? Would be damn interesting.

I’ve been to nervous to watch alone and no one irl who would watch it with me so I’ve been waiting for your reaction for my first watch. Im gonna cry but I feel less anxious watching it “together”🥲I am probably gonna cry 😭
Back after i watched it, did cry but you're right in this was very encouraging to hear. I'm happy for them, im inspired, I'm seeing Hobi do his first solo performance at Lolla palooza lol. I love them so much. AFter all the misleading headlines soooo many people in my real life just made so many jokes about them breaking up about how ill have to take down my posters now, laughing at how i could ever believe they were being sincere about this not being the end, etc etc just really bashing my heart and making me mad cuz i knew that wasn't what this was at all, really felt like only other armys could understand the highs and lows i was feeling this week. So finally getting the chance to watch this with you, who is also one of the most sincere reactors i know in this space, was really great. Now I have to dry my tears before my roomies get home lol.

Oh dear, that's a mood. ...I don't really publicize the fact that I'm ARMy because oftentimes, I have non-ARMys trying to engage me weirdly and ...well, the past few days I've seen people teasing friends in now are ARMY and being giddy over BTS breaking up? I've told my roommates who know I'm army that they're not breaking up, that's all. But I don't go into it....army's get each other, others don't get it, simple as that

I always like your quick insights of things. Other than the burn out, RM and Jimin also said that they couldn’t share everything with Army. And you quickly pointed out about their contracts and things. Hope the boys are allowed to express themselves freely when releasing their solo stuffs!💜
