Agreed, even some MISDEMEANOR CONVICTIONS will get your second amendment rights taken for life and history of the second amendment has always been that once a person has served their sentence they would have ALL their rights restored, hopefully they will start using the constitution again instead of emotions when it comes to peoples rights after they have paid their debt to society and have become the PEOPLE again

Because the law is SCREWED UP and basically says your not allowed to defend your own life if you've ever even simply "Bounced a Check"
If your a convicted felon and a man with no record comes into your house attempting to rob and harm you, you had better have witnesses or footage because they HAVE AND WILL take his word over yours.
He could tell them he knocked on your door to "Spread The Good Word"
You can own an air rifle that can take down an elephant but you cant have a can of Pepper Spray.
Or any body armor if your worried about these mass shootings or being robbed and shot.
      Or a tazer.
      Or non lethal pepper balls
He'll you cant even own a Cattle Prod.
      BUT I CAN OWN A FLAMETHROWER 🔥
My point is that these laws are made by IDIOTS to make IDIOTS feel safe.

This is a subject that comes up often, but us airgun enthusiasts already know this.
And as we all know, some people laugh at the idea of PCP's being used for home/self defense.
But theres also the people who are educated enough to realize that PCP's have evolved to such a point where some models are MORE than enough to keep you and your family safe.
Sure, some things are better than others, but a PCP is more than capable.
    Great subject...great video.
    Thanks.

You know I agree . But the powder burners can't even agree on which guns and calibers are best for home defense. So they will never accept the premise that PCPs can do the job. Thanks.

I agree 100% with all that you said here. I sold everything and only kept two 25 cal PCPs, as clean fire power and penetration, you want something over the 600-700 fps 22 and 25 cal machines. I competed with 30 cal power weapons one day on the range, and my 1,000 fps 25 Cal Hatsan bolt action beat a 30 Cal Winchester in speed, accuracy and had twice the penetration in the same 20" thick block of ballistic gel target. The 30 Cal had a penetration of 9 to 12 inches, and mine typically went all the way through the depth of the target. A 45 grain 25 Cal fired at 1,000 fps has roughly 90+ pounds of force at 25 yards. 25 Cal pistols and regulated PCPs have less performance, but that simply depends on what you can handle and what you can lat down as protective force when needed. And in that regard, I am something of an expert witness as a veteran of Vietnam conflict with three tours. Oorah!

Wow a Marine with three tours of duty in the Vietnam conflict. Now that is something special. Thanks you for your service. I like the term: ""what you can lat down as protective force when needed." To me "What you can lat down" refers to what you have available be it a powder burner or a PCP. And "protective force" refers to using it in an effective and sustained manor. So I agree that a PCP, in a pinch can do the job. Thanks again for your service and for your insight. Best of luck.

Hey Aaron I agree in many scenarios they would be effective. But, you have to be very familiar with your tool. The stealth of smaller pcp’s is a huge advantage in many prepper scenarios. Another advantage you can have is the adversary likely has done very little if any training. Of course it’s not my first choice. I have other options and I do some training with them. The new “Rattler .35”, Leshy 2, and a few like them would be great choices for what you’re talking about. The optic on it would make a huge difference for say a dark space at close range.

I'm about halfway through this video and enjoying it immensely. There's one flaw which is easily remedied. If you're trying to get the drop on someone, you want to be doing that with iron sights at such close range. By the time you find your eye relief in the scope, that evildoer could have gotten the drop on you. If you're only option is a PCP rifle, definitely go with iron sights.

I remove my scope from the BULLDOG. 357 because with that rifle you only have to look down that long rail and I've run drills with it, repeatedly.

Very real world approach to using these types of options for
self defense. Great collection of airguns brother.
Most of my airguns are for recreational activities.
That said, I do have less lethal airguns options along with my firearms
for self defense. I added less lethal airguns to my self defense system,
because I realized not every self defense encounter required a lethal response.
Although the airguns you showcased are basically the equivalent to

Both regulators can be cranked all the way up to 190 bar. The Western Rattler can reach 270 FPE. They are expensive, relatively quiet with their stock suppressors (the LCS SK-19 can be upgraded to a Donny Fl), super balanced, with Holosun Holographic closed Red Dots and are indeed intruder/attacker stoppers and droppers and if needed, I could reach enough to argue here and say short range sniper rifles.

For your optics disregard the scope, top it off with a open sight, Red Dot or laser. A true air Gunner knows the capability of those 357 air rifles, they're just as deadly as using a handgun. Also, there's technology out there in which you can double your foot pounds of energy which is really not necessary. It's not for everyone, because of the price point. However, the .357 Rattler fires 81gr. JSB pellets at over 1,000 fps producing 200 fpe. Or you can also use 174 gr. slugs at 800 fps generating 230 fpe. It has a very reliable 15 shot fixed rotary magazine. That is semi-auto only. Or, the .30 cal Rattler that has a 17 shot fixed rotary magazine that is select-fire. Using 65 gr slugs generating 200 fpe. I own both Rattlers and also , two SK 19's . One in .25 cal and one in .30 cal. The 30. cal Rattler and the 30.cal SK19 look and function similarly. However, the .30 cal Rattler generates way more power and is more accurate.

I would not use an air gun simply because I have firearms. However if I was in a situation where I was forced to use an air gun, I have a Gamo Swarm Magnum break barrel and with quick reflexes, you might get a 2nd or 3rd shot off because that particular break barrel is magazine fed and potentially could be considered a repeater. The swarm magnum also packs a powerful punch for a 22 air gun. it can penetrate sheet metal and plywood all day long. I am sure that at close range and good shot placement, it could seriously injure or even kill if need be. But hopefully I will never have to find out though.

It will go clean through a 2x4 and it's not something you'd want to get hit by ! I can also put an 8 shot mag into a group not much bigger than the size of a quarter at a 100 yards . Next is a .30 Hatsan Blitz . I own several Hatsan pellet guns and they're all super reliable. I also have a real katana . So PCP for home defense ? Better than a sling shot !

The absolute lethal effectiveness of an air rifle, capable of propelling projectiles at over 900 feet per second, is a testament to its discreet yet formidable nature in self-defense scenarios. This high-velocity capability ensures swift and precise incapacitation of threats, offering a distinct advantage in situations demanding stealth and precision. The lack of loud gunfire reports allows for a covert defense strategy, catching assailants off guard. Its lethal potency, combined with the advantage of silent operation, makes it an invaluable tool for individuals seeking a non-lethal yet highly effective means of safeguarding themselves in self-defense situations.

The problem with most PCP's and semi autos is that they have spring loaded magazines which you cannot leave them loaded for long periods of time because the spring tension will weaken and this might cause jamming when you most need it. The Edgun Leshiy is an excellent solution but it is crazy expensive! In my opinion a good home defense setup needs a compact form factor, a revolver magazine, > 30 Joule power and effective penetration which means .22 or max .25 cal H&N Hornets. Not sure how many PCP's satisfy all of the above.

    It's running a 14.3 pellet at 1085 to 1090 fps over the chronograph, and 38 ft/lbs.
It will dump 4 rounds out of the 21 shot mag in a burst, that's the least amount of pellets you can shoot in a burst, it dumps the full magazine in about 1 second, and has never jammed.
No man is going to take 10 or more of these in 1/2 to 1 second and stay on his feet.

For example I have 12 gauge maverick 88 shotgun which cost total $300 including taxes, registration and background checki. Compared to that similar air shotgun would cost $1500+. One area air gun really shines is less lethal self defense and air revoloves like HDR50/HDR68 are really awesome for stopping home invaders especially with pepper ball rounds.

It’s easy to say that you can use an AR pistol for example, in your home or car, for self defense. But I can guarantee that ppl with that mindset, have never used an AR pistol in a home or vehicle. The noise level is unbearable for 9 out of 10 people; and just about everyone will endure hearing damage. Laying in wait for someone to enter your home, then head shooting them without warning...would likely result in you being charged. In light of your own words stated in this video, a prosecutor would almost certainly attempt to paint you as an assassin or a blood thirsty vigilante rather than a innocent homeowner. I can also guarantee that this video will be used at your trial. There is a very fine line between home defense and setting up an ambush. This is especially true in anti gun states, even in a pro gun state it could be very risky. In a SHTF situation, it probably wouldn't matter much. As a practical matter i would be careful. However, it is not safer for kids to be around . Don't make that mistake , some , like what is needed for home defense, is absolutely lethal. So it sounds like your argument supports PCPs for home protection. Because given your statements they are both "wall safe" and "lethal." Thanks.

You are right especially in a tense situation. That is why I say lay in ambush with the gun stabilized for good shot placement. My first shot would all ways be to the head hopefully with a double tap. Thanks for watching.

buddy , why dont you think about getting you some less than lethal weapons , these markers are really nice , comes in .68 and .50 . i been working on them almost a year , i am a beast with it ,i get up to 42 plus joules with still using a 12 gram co2 powerlet . i totally rebuild the whole marker ,all internals . i grind ,file ,polish and fit all parts . i change the valve system , install custom tighter barrels , powerful firing pin ,etc.etc.etc.these things puts a 8.5 gram steel ball bearing straight thru a tin can and more , shoots powder balls ,pepper balls , steel , slugs ,all types of stuff . search "less than lethal "on youtube brother !!!
