The Wars The Acolyte Review of Season 1 Episode 6, where for some reason Leslye Headland thought she had to win over the miniscule target demographic on Disney. With many a strange scene for what is essentially a family centered platform, and an audio voiceover description I'm not sure why most of this episode even exists. The interviews describe how basically the staff went crazy when he appeared in his costume and they had to rewrite whole episodes just to fit him in. Well that was a mistake, they dragged out a story of nothing happened except inuendo and double entendres. While this may satisfy a certain section of the audience, it's not a large one. And certainly nothing to do with Star Wars. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

If I may invoke the old Expanded/Legends Universe Lore. Cortosis is a rare metal that disables Llightsabers and there are other Dark Side groups other than the Sith. Dark Jedi is a term used to refer to run of the mill Jedi who fall to the Dark Side. An order of Jedi called the Jedi Shadows where charged with hunting them in the Old Republic. They like the Jedi Sentinels used Yellow Lightsabers. Since Disney has no original ideas they steal from the Legends Universe which did it all first and did it all better than Disney.

The whole not attacking the unarmed plotline is pure quantum stupidity. He forced tossed a half dozen Jedi and snapped a dude's neck with his bare hands, he's never technically incapable of offensive combat and therefore never unarmed.

@@taddad2641Imo kind of dumb for a franchise where all Jedi in the core movies have been shown to be warriors that will harm their enemies of needed. Hell, Mace Windu wanted to kill Palpatine once he was defeated, knowing full well what a Sith is capable of even though they vanished over thousand years ago.
Beyond that it's even dumber, we know hes killed multiple people- Jedi nonetheless- so whether he's armed or not should be irrelevant. The Jedi are suppose to be "peacekeepers". How can you keep the peace if you refuse to fight the bad guys and protect other people when you can only use your weapon when they are imminently trying to kill you? It would be like tracking down a serial killer but refusing to consider using deadly force just because the serial killer doesn't have a weapon literally in their hand. It's beyond ridiculous. Of course Darth Punk should've been arrested in the second episode, since the Jedi knew he knowingly aided and abetted at least one count of premeditated murder, but he was let off with a warning... so that's the level of logic in this show. The Jedi went from being the defenders of the Republic to being the unironically the worst police force ever. I'd take Reno 911 or Super Troopers over these guys any day.

It's so weird they walked all day through forest to get to a wookie, but no one found the wookie, took back his body or finished the mission they set out for. The padawan girl kinda found him trying to arrest girl, but she died without telling anyone about it if she noticed him dead. They spend hours walking back to the ship and never speak to one another. Then after they leave, she finally decides to kill him. Its so bizarre. Like they just skipped hours of time, forgot their original objective, never find the wookie, never bring dead bodies back and just pick up the story as if no time passed.
The characters cease to exist when the scene ends.
The obvious innuendo is off the charts. The mental picture of Leslye Headlands getting the hots while writing, I mean RE-Writing this, suddenly came to me and I hate it. LMAO what a shitshow this show is.

This show has clearly been dissected and reassembled several times. Its safe to assume at least one of her scenes was retooled from the footage of what was suppose to be the other sister.

I have been disenfranchised from StarWars since The Phantom Menace. What Disney has done with StarWars has saddened me. Recently though it's made me angry. The only entertainment I get from it now are these reviews. These are vile, putrid people.

They want revenge for "oppression", that never happened the way they claim. F.e. in the US and also here in Germany, most women didn't want the right to vote, because it meant responsibility, and it was more like 1 vote per family, not per man.
Also I know, in a lot of US states the right to vote depended on, if you own property, a house or an apartment. If not, even as man, you couldn't vote. If you owned something, you could vote as women. It wasn't everywhere, but still.
It's ridiculous, how feminists cry about something 100+ years ago, and how they lie, because f.e. here in Germany, we had an emperor until 1918, and women got the right to vote together with the men at 1918 after WW1.
In most places, it's not like men had the right to vote for hundreds of years, and women got it far later. In most places, just a privileged class had the right to vote, and a general right to vote followed just a few years after this class got the right to vote.
Same with drivers licences: The car was invented in the 19th century, in most places, you didn't need a drivers licence to drive it. Just when cars became more common, it was required. And women got the right to get one just a few years after it became law, that you need a licence to drive a car.
With bank accounts: Most people didn't have bank accounts until the 20th century. Something like that was for the rich, and they weren't rich enough and had their money somewhere at home. The whole idea of saving money in bank accounts, paying things with that, is a 20th century thing, most people didn't have one, and women got the right to get one shortly after it became popular.
It's the same with nearly everything, they complain about: It was exclusive, just for a few people. Then it became popular, and just a few years later, women got the right to do or have it.
So they want revenge, and if you listen to feminists, you would assume, it's about centuries of oppression, while, in reality, it's a few years of not having equal rights. And it's a long time ago 🤷♂️

It’s frustratingly bad. When did Sol realize it wasn’t Osha with him? Why does he even assume Osha is alive to rescue, given “the enemy” was aboard his ship in her place? Why does he assume Smilo Ren is alive, and that he hasn’t already killed Osha? Why did the beaver not immediately tell Sol? Osha cared for all of those Jedi that Smilo JUST killed - why on earth would she even listen to a word Smilo is saying, let alone get swayed by it. My god, it’s just so, SO bad… and the only people capable of acting are Sol and Smilo’s actors. 🤦🏻♂️

What the hell is this show obsessions with Jedi not killing? They have no problems with killing evil people, never have. Hell you don't have to kill just cut their arms off. Obi-wan does it in the bar in Ep4. Mace Windu kills Jango Fett in Ep2. The only thing the Jedi have said is don't kill out of hatred and so on because that can led down a dark path. The Jedi fought and killed the Sith in the past, and it goes against what we see in the prequels of the Jedi order, a mere hundred years in the future. They kill quite a lot more than droids in the clone war shows.
Obi Wan loves cutting things off, Darth Maul, the bug in Ep2 and Anakin in Ep3.

I haven’t wasted my time watching this rubbish. However, one thing that seems to come through is they kill off characters without any real introduction to those characters, then spend following episodes trying to convince you that you should have cared about their death.

Why is the ship having all these issues? It wasn't attacked, they didn't have a dogfight in space, no saboteurs, and it was working just fine on their way to the planet. What happened in that 1 day that effed it up so much?

Nothing in the show is properly set up, merited, or consistent within itself (never mind canon). It’s one of the reasons why all the choppy, brief, bulimic D+ series and episodes are so troublesome (besides the terrible writing), there’s simply never enough time to develop the boring characters, thin plots, ships that suddenly stop working, or even let dramatic scenes breathe properly.
