That's what I felt. We saw both Kiwior and Martinelli were being bullied by Kimmich so play them today and rest them midweek. Simple. Don't get Arteta sometimes really.
And Jesus is one that I am not sure is even needed at the moment. He is an impact player and nothing more. Not a starter IMHO.
Though it's twenty years since we won a trophy. this is an absolute perfect season where we love watching arsenal without fear . Loosing one game , we arent able to digest. That's the level the manager and team has raisen. Trust the process and manager !!

It's only because of Artera that we had something to bottle. The Timber injury was a major spanner in the works. It's the reason why we rely on Zinny and Kiwior, the weak links. Arteta has done the best with what he had. We haven't had the money yet to buy a top-shelf striker. After the barren January transfer window, you know Arteta is going to make Arsenal even stronger.

The Arsenal players were just too concerned about losing the game and dropping points. It seems almost the same kind of condition as the last couple of seasons. When there is less significance, as in a game during the main part of the season, they are not as tight, not as worried and so are free to go after a win. But now, when they absolutely need the win, they tighten-up, hesitate and doubt starts to creep in. Like a boxer going into a match they are worried about losing, they ultimately do. Villa, or any team for that matter, just have to keep it close and wait for the pressure to build on the Arsenal players.
It's called bottling it
To go from the free-flowing football of the Wenger era to the disjointed hit-and-hope football we play today is sad to see. We rightly criticised Mourinho for his negative, super safe approach, but against Villa we were playing in the exact same way. To spend that much time with 10 men behind the ball at home is unacceptable. We’ve counted on capitalising on errors rather than creating our own chances all season and eventually the lack of creativity would cause a loss like this.
Arteta saying that a first half where we played defensive counter attacking football was “our best performance of the season so far” says it all.

As an Arsenal fan for over 50 years and trusting the process with Arteta, it was his fault we lost. Constantly playing Zinchenko as left back means we are weak on that side as he cannot defend! In the summer we need to get rid of
him, Jesus, Nketiah and Nelson in my opinion and then we may just kick on.
