You know I used to be a straight A student back in high school and yes it did give me an adventage to get some scholarships, but I am sure the main reason I got them was because my family is not well off at all. Another thing is I met someone who got accepted into way more scholarships and she was just a normal person. She was just normal like an A and B and introduced me into the trick into these scholarships and honetly it is all about knowing what to write. This person had a coach and relative in the field to revise her essays before submitting them, the essays in scholarship are the one's that decide if you get them or not. * She told me they just want to get to know you and how driven you are, wish she had told me more.

My question is: how come so many of these high achievers are failures in other parts of their lives, for example they have trouble with drugs, alcohol, relationships, they will take advantage of others to get ahead and so on? Why are they so one dimensional, why can't they apply those same principles to everything??
