I lived in Monroeville between the ages of 10-17. I haven't been back in over 20 years. I remember it as a generic large suburb, almost a small city in itself. Name a chain restaurant and Monroeville had it. There's a major highway with a semi-famous mall. Back in the 80s when I lived there, people would travel far and wide to go to the mall. Dawn of the Dead was filmed at that mall. It was a little too urban for my taste. The neighbor hoods were mid-century track homes. People from all walks of life lived there, every race, religion, ethnicity, etc. There were affluent and not-so-affluent.
I'm 17 and i have lived in monroeville my whole life I love it here its a little nice to live here but with evreything that's been happening at the mall and what not people don't really go to the mall no more but its been like that maybe like a year before all those incidents happened
