ABOUT AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR
This action-packed series follows competitors as they tackle a series of challenging obstacle courses in city qualifying and city finals rounds across the country. Ninjas who successfully complete the finals course in their designated region move on to the national finals round in Las Vegas, where they face a multi-stage course with up to 23 obstacles. The ninja who completes all four stages - including the final 75-foot rope climb - takes home a grand prize of $1 million. If no competitor finishes all four stages, the ninja that advances the farthest (and the fastest) on the course, also known as the "last ninja standing," will take home $100,000.

Great to have American Ninja Warrior back for Season 12.Can't wait to watch it.
I'm glad they added in the crowd noises even if they aren't really there, it makes it feel the way it was before. It must have been hard for the ninjas not to have that boost from the fans.

It used to be good. It’s not watchable anymore. They actually don’t show you runs to give you unrelated backstory on random people for sympathy points. It’s a sports obstacle show... we want to see the runs. It’s the same things the news has started doing, they do puff pieces and spun stories to guide the populations thought on certain things when all the real people want is unadulterated data. What happened and what are the stats and proof. If you want to do your perspective it’s an op-ed. This needs to stop. Just show us the courses with commentary

The set design is on point! I love the screens throughout showing logos, information, and supporting family and friends. It’s also great seeing the obstacles and lights in the background as well.

Technically their runs did get shown.......in a fast-forward segment. Julius Ferguson completed the course, placing 5th, while Taylor Johnson failed Slingshot, placing 12th. Both moved on regardless of how you-know-who purportedly did on the Power Tower (which was also cut this episode).

his run being cut out is also why there is a 1-minute gap between 11th and 12th place of the general leaderboard (because at least one man was above the woman that was in 12th place and he still didn't make it because of the reality)

These obstacles aren't really ninja-ish. Maybe climbing up ropes or flipping over walls while ducking flying projectiles. And I'd really like to see a Prince of Persia Wall Run

I mean with all the restrictions, this is the best they can do, and it is pretty good. Tho I have noticed I have out grown the humor of the sideline reporters and the commentary, it is still neat to see the new obstacles and stuff. Hopefully this is a good season.

Totally agree. My family, even my young kids just nine years old, have been saying this for years now. A little quick backstory on a few interesting people is fine but but now many of the stories seem completely exaggerated or even made up by some people.
Amen! This show sucks now. Once I saw them actually not show the runs and only recapped certain runs I stopped watching. I don’t care about the people’s backstory unless it’s finals

I have zero delusions that my dang near 50 year old disabled butt can even get across the diminishing steps, much less any of the other obstacles.
However, I do enjoy watching what the younger fit individuals can do. I probably could have when I was younger and in shape. Like in my Army days in the late 1980s early 1990s. But now? From a mobility scooter? Not a chance.
But it is still entertaining.

Dude I can't say I fully agree with you, but I will say that the show won't be same again unless he comes back yes. But see, he was charged with all that stuff and all the evidence and we don't even know what's happening with the case fully rn too. I used to be one of his biggest supporters, and ofc I watched ninja just so I could see him run and win the course, but now that's not gonna happen. It's like NBC erased Drew Drechsel. We just have to deal with it until it's solved or the final verdict is given. And if it's like for certain that he's a horrible person, even tho there's a part of me which begs God for all of this to not be true, we have to just say goodbye to that chapter.
