I was there!!! 🇧🇷
After traveling from my small town in the interior to the capital, a group of friends and I were the first to arrive at the gates, at 8:00 in the morning, which caused us to be photographed by the local newspaper. We were so euphoric that we didn't mind spending the whole day being cooked by the Fortaleza's sun hahaha. The whole city was taken by fans, the bus line that passed next to the stadium had changed the sign to "666 Iron Maiden". We watched the show at the cheapest seats, because money was tight at that time, but that's ok, we just wanted to be there, living the most epic moment of our lives. When the show ended, we went to the airport to look at Ed Force One from behind the fences that surround the airstrip. I spent months without being able to listen to Wasted Years without crying. And now, having this video recording of Fear of the Dark, the first song I heard from the band when I was still 11, is an infinitely rewarding nostalgic gift. Thank u Iron ❤.

De quebra ainda nos deram a honra de termos sido escolhidos para representar uma das músicas mais famosas no canal oficial. Realmente foi uma coisa épica. Cara fiquei puto sou aqui de Natal e estava tudo certo para ser em Recife, derrepente mudou tudo e foi pra Fortaleza, me arrependo muito por não ter ido. Mas fui para o chile e quando estava de bobeira encontrei João Gordo em uma praça e fui falar com ele e ele perguntou você vai para o show, perguntei qual e ele disse do Iron, putz nem sabia, depois comecei a ver cartazes nas ruas e o show foi dois dias antes do meu aniversário. Foi fuderoso.

A chegada do Ed Force One também foi outro espetáculo à parte. =D Eu infelizmente não pude ver eles chegando (mas eu vi o avião passando - onde eu moro dá pra ver todos os aviões passando baixo no approach final, um pouco de longe), mas eu fui ver eles partindo no dia seguinte. =D QUE AVIÃOZÃO DA PORRA! =O Sem dúvidas o maior avião que já pisou no Pinto Martins Intl.
Você foi também ao aeroporto quando eles partiram? =) Eu tava lá naquele pátio do terminal principal (aquele com a vidraça enorme pra pista) e com certeza tenha uma centena de pessoas lá naquele espaço que nem é tão grande.
Sem dúvidas foi um evento histórico pra nossa cidade. E tenho esperanças de que tenha sido somente a primeira vez. =)
Sim, cara. Com certeza. Foi a primeira vez que o Iron se apresentou aqui em Fortaleza. Portanto, foi um momento histórico na nossa cidade. =) O próprio Bruce comentou em um momento no show, que ele ficou impressionado de, no primeiro show deles aqui, ter dado 26 mil pessoas na Arena Castelão. Eu acho que dava pra ter dado MUITO mais gente. Teve muita gente que ficou do lado de fora e só assistiu pelos telões. E a arquibancada ficou com muitos lugares vazios, como dá pra ver em uns momentos do vídeo.
Mas o que importa é que sim, sem dúvida isso mostra que o nordeste não é só forró. O Metal é muito forte aqui também. E espero que essa força só aumente. Obrigado man. =)

Foderam com o sul, que ficou sem show. Esse show ai normalmente seria em curitiba ou porto alegre. Mas eu fico mais do que feliz que teve. Eu tenho a oportunidade de ir para outros estados (Ironicamente fui para todos os que NAO foram gravados dessa tour ai, BH SP e brasilia). Em 2013 quando tive a oportunidade de ver o maiden pela primeira vez em curitiba, eu nao teria a chance de ir para outro estado, e muito menos pegar grade.
Só posso dizer que o povo do nordeste merece boa musica e fico feliz que eles tiveram esse show. É um absurdo o valor de passagens do nordeste pro sudeste.

In the 2000s, there was a high crime rate in the city where I studied at high school, my school was on the outskirts of the city. Even in the middle of the day, at least 2 boys would go out so that we would have a way to defend ourselves from scammers in case we were attacked.
This song helped me face my fear of the dark, I listened to it so often that Iron Maiden had become a lifestyle. I had the impression that I was living in the lyrics of this band.
But it gave me strength and energy to survive! Thank you Iron Maiden!
I grew up listening to them in the 80’s and I still listen to em they are always in my play list
