Chael, you are the king of trash talk. Please respond if that joke was a little too low. Your opinion matters.
I knew the excuses for Colby we're going to come eventually. in the middle of lying and pretending he won the fight, Colby said several things. the biggest thing were Leon's stance switches and distance control. He didn't mention this, but it was also his speed. Ring rust? Ok, sure. But, he absolutely said what it was, while in the same breath saying he won three rounds and should have won the fight, when he won the last part of the last round, only because Leon had a point to prove and took him down, which allowed Colby to eventually work his way into top position and then do absolutely nothing. I think it also had to do with nerves, due to the fact that it was probably going to be his last title shot and he talked to all of that trash and Donald Trump was in the crowd. But, my whole point was Colby mention what the problem was.
it's crazy how you give him credit for making no excuses, when he claims he won the fight and said the judges didn't give it to him because he supports trump. then you give him credit for calling out Wonderboy, instead of shotgun who just beat Wonderboy. You are so insinuate Colby has been trying to fight, when Dana himself said Colby was sitting around not wanting to fight. You choose to apply the three fight deal in the contract to leon, who had two fights, but not to Colby, who had one fight. It pretty unreal. You can't make this stuff up. It's unreal. You're good at manipulating public opinion, but it's not going to happen this time. we all know what happened.
While you are right that most of us couldn't go 25mins in the ring with Leon, we also haven't dedicated our lives to combat sports. Leon is a decision merchant, more than half his fights were decisions. A washed-up Diaz brother had him wobbled.
That being said, Colby is the one who has to look himself in the mirror, no doubt the angst, shame, guilt, frustration, regret and whatever other emotions are enough, and he is getting more pile-on than he could deserve. I think all Colby fans are disappointed.
The embarrassment is vicarious - Trump there on his behalf and Colby froze up. It could have been a harbinger for 2016 all over again. It is at best a damp squib and at worst an omen of election disappointment.
I guess Colby stuck to character and excuses were minimal. It is still as disappointing as seeing Sonnen Silva 1 & 2 play out.
If he can beat Shavkat, Belal, Burns or Usman, give him a title shot. At this stage of his career a needle in his ass may be the only way it will happen.
You can tell Chael was crying before filming this
I was thinking it too 😂
Real men cry alone in the dark.
😂W COMMENT i wish we got a more eventful fight fs respect to both
I’d cry too if the guy I’ve been supporting didn’t do shit the first three rounds and once he got going it was too late 😂
Likely with Colby on the phone
I have an answer to both your questions…
1. You’ve never seen that Colby because he’s never been 35 years old, and off for two years at the same time.
2. The thing that happened in the first round that threw Colby off was the barrage of leg kicks from Leon, also he overestimated his own striking ability.
Think main thing is he’s levels below Leon and it showed. Colby is good but let’s be real his whole career is beating 35yr olds and he’s not any current ufc top 10 fighter
Colby was behind during the walkout.
Colby won 345 rounds with broken foot
I think he choked up in the moment because he didn’t want to get KO’d and embarrassed under all the pressure so he took the lesser embarrassment of just taking a decision loss. Leon was too tricky for Colby to try anything without sensing a KO risk and so he didn’t until the very end when he grappled for a little bit
My theory (other than an injury undisclosed) was not him being scared per say of leons 1 hit ko power, but I think knowing this can very well be his last shot at the title. I think a normal human being vs kamaru usman would be especially afraid of his power (maybe not as flashy or clean as leon) but colby went 2 fights with him throwing all caution to the wind going tit for tat. I think colby not being in there for a while and knowing this could be the very last shot to get gold he psyched himself out and tried to be more methodical.
@@wolfyjunior5034 I personally think his attempt of mind games mentioning dead relatives in a bad way turned many people against him in a way he didn’t expect and that took him off his game. Rightfully so what he did was wrong and knowing that in his head has fully made him rethink his character (cause he claims it’s all a character)
I don’t think he expected all the hate and reaction it got and would argue it’s fucked his head up massively knowing he was wrong
@@25pencepeople have been really against him forever, that theory doesn’t make sense
@@anon2427 this time more fighters & people were against him.. and Leon isn't the guy who gets pissed before a fight

Are we really going to sit here and act like Leon's front kicks and speed did not stop Colby from just shooting in reckless. That's what it was Colby did not want to shoot in on a reckless takedown and be kneed or front kicked to the face and then ko'd. It's really not that hard to understand bro I cannot believe that this is the narrative that we're running with that somehow Colby is different it's not that he's different, it's that he was scared.
leon deserves p4p #1 spot after that
@@JackVz Uh no, Islam easily deserves it.
That’s not true, look at when he fought usman the second time when usman was at his peak and most dangerous, Usman showed his knockout power against masvidal and Colby still shot takedowns in that fight and was competitive in the standup
@@MADARA200 usman striking power isn't Leons sniping accuracy.
lol after facing Kamaru twice I don’t think he was all afraid of a knee
He lost me as a fan I’ll tell you that. What made me love him is his relentlessness and pressure. Literally the only way anyone saw him beating the champ and he looked like a shell of himself. Staying at range getting his legs took. He wasn’t fearless relentless Colby that I’d grown to love. Sucks but I think he is a has been now.
All facts.
hes a scumbag
"what made me love him" "he lost me as a fan" "I think he's a has been now" you're the type a guy that would turn your back on your friend, guaranteed haha.
I think the fact that he won R5 is very significant. Washed up/over the hill/dominated fighters get worse as the match progresses. Winning the last round (even with all the damage to his right leg) meant he had the capability to win it had he really gone for it earlier.
@@parjau4554 he was only in that position because leon knew he had secured enough rounds to get into that position with him lol
I think Leon is way better than a lot of us realized. His footwork and range control shut Colby down. Winning that belt has allowed him to fully come into his potential. I became a Leon fan with this fight. Leon now is able with very subtle adjustments to make it really hard. Reminds me of a pocket QB like Dan Marino. Guy didn't break 100 yards running the ball in his whole hall of fame career but in that pocket he knew the exact moment to make the slightest adjustment to throw a guy off and buy enough time to get that ball off. This, I think, is what Leon is capable of doing now. I'm telling you that guys build and physical gifts now with confidence has become a problem.
You know something should be said about the pressure on these guys to entertain and perform those that are good at that. Typically they're heals and honestly it's a lot of pressure I think. These are fighters they're not actors and when you're sitting in front of those cameras whole world watching and it's on you to make something happen I think sometimes they just frankly screw up. I think also sometimes they crack because they don't feel like the other guy's carrying any of that load. I almost wish someone other than Chael would hold class on this for these guys. Literally learn to manage that like WWE. This is the world of real and truth. When that cage door shuts it's all real and truth going on but the org should admit how much of this is part of the business and quietly maybe see if they can help with this. Would have to be handled with the utmost discretion. Or maybe not the org but dudes like Chael. Well, no one is really like Chael, but you get what I mean guys that are old and experienced and good at promotion. Reach out to these fighters teach them what you know.

Chael trying his best to put some shine on Colby.
Colby was scared of going toe to toe with the elite striking of Leon and was hoping to capitalise on any mistake Leon makes ,but Edwards stayed on the outside and picked him apart.
He also out grapple Colby and showed he's a level above him
Ya something happened. Leon stood in front of him. He said in the post fight interview leon changed stance and made him nervous to shoot in. Leon stalled him and made him afraid of ending up in a highlight reel. Colby cracked under the pressure and it's clear to see.
He may have said that but he was backing up the whole fight. It’s not just that he wasn’t shooting takedowns but Colby wasn’t throwing either.
When Colby finally started shooting towards the end of the fight he won the round. Plus Colby has fought people that switch stances before. That’s not the reason.
Why would he be afraid of being on Leon's highlight reel when Leon doesn't even have a high light reel . He just has a highlight. Colby fought more dangerous guys before when it comes to on strike power.
Whatever Usman did more
@@russianbot2630Colby went out there and tried to prove he could strike and froze because his corner didn't tell him to shoot until after rd 2 . It was like when Cain thought he could strike with jds because he koed nog and when Brock tried to strike with reem .
@@antonycuff4512 that occurred to me too when I was watching it. The first 3ish rounds it looked like he was trying to be a technical striker with Leon. By the time he tried to be a wrestler it was toward the end of the fight and it was too late. His leg was so black and blue from the leg kicks it limited his takedown ability.
Colby did a lot better with his previous gym.
Normally I wouldn't throw sand in his eyes after a performance like that, you are right - he still went 25 mins, but the childish reaction afterwards eradicated any empathy for the guy. Colby vs Leon, what happened? Karma happened.
I was first thinking Leon due to activity, then at the presser I thought maybe Colby due to the emotions, during the walk-out I knew it was Leon as Colby took several deep breaths and looked so stressed, Leon was relaxed and smiling... call it karma if you like, Colby was stressed out and was in survival mode for the first 4rds, or as Cejudo said "he sh*t the bed in front of everyone"😂 karma is a bit*h👍🏻
Colby thought he won so it's really not "kicking the guy while he's down"
Karma had nothing to do with it
@@XBlack-oc6xt Whatever it was, it was satisfying LOL
@@meiken417 nah he knows he lost, he also said with blood on his face he didn't take a scratch, then walked out with an ice pack limping, pure BS
He went 25 mins easily???? He could barely walk out the cage by himself after the fight. It was Leons easiest fight he's ever had. He was literally practising his wrestling on Colby
Boring fight. Prelims were more exciting. Like 30 strikes thrown combined in the first 15 mins haha. Leons easiest fight was against someone trying to lose
That was funny when leon decided to practice wrestling on colby.
@@JackVzthe irony of Colby saying this was the easiest fight

Real talk. If he went 25 minutes and could do another 25 minutes as Chael said, he fucked up big time.
After that amazing performance against colby leons ready for islam
knew that for years.
With 3 strikes over 72+ hours Colby succeeded in ruining every bit of equity he had accrued over his MMA entire career. Had the crowd cheering & in his hands starting the 296 press conference. The verbal jab against Leon's dad was the first strike and even still the crowd was cheering but the community at large was aghast. The 2nd strike was that Colby promised 7 layers of hell in the fight and ended up taking a dump on the mat. Showed literally no heart in the cage against Leon when earlier in the night Aldana vs. Rosa had both fighters in the 7 layers of hell fighting for their lives. This is what Colby needed to show. HEART. The 3rd last fatal strike was the delusional speech afterwards and in the post fight press conference. Colby's shtick while fighting with no heart = CLOWN SHOW. I will never ever root for Colby again and I never wish to watch him fight or listen to the garbage coming out of his mouth ever again.
He will be fine if he chooses to move forward
MMA fans are the worst with memories . He also discussed changing his strategy prior to this fight which was a massive mistake

they're saying he didn't get enough training in because he was dealing with a damaged rolex which made him late for practice

🤣😂🤣
This is exactly the breakdown I expected from Colby's Dad. If any other fighter called out the oldest guy in the division, rather than ask for a fight that gets them back in the title picture, Chael would be telling us how they don't have the sense that god gave geese.
Colby lost because Chael wasn’t giving him as much bedroom cardio as he usually does.
There was nothing wrong with Colby, he’s just not as good as Leon. Chael has always bashed Leon. He’s a bitter old man who was never as successful as Leon. Colby will never see that belt either.
Chael I understand that’s your boy , but let me tell you . Leon handicapped colby from his biggest attribute which was cardio by keeping the perfect distance . Colby couldn’t attack or “use his cardio” if he can’t even touch the person Infront of him . Leon is just simply better
truth
leon was just faster, stronger, sharper. that thing colby couldnt find was leon lol
Wrong
@jarrodbai facts are facts doesn't matter if you like em or not.
You're not telling Chael anything here, Chael already said the exact same thing in the video. That was ring rust, or a bad game plan or an injury. Colby's output was the lowest its been and he didnt even try to ramp it up. Hell, he could've just pushed leon into the cage and tried to tire him that way but he didnt even try that. The pressure fighter never pressured, the guy who always moves forward kept backing up. Something was off.
Chael is telling us not to kick sand in the guys face, the same guy that is STILL disrespecting Leon’s dead father.
Says he isn’t sure what it was that caused Colby to have such a bad showing, I call it karma.
The over the top antics, politics, disregard for merit, and overall lack of honor are terrible for the sport. How can you expect a young kid to look up to some of the BS we are seeing going on right now? And the response to criticism of Colby is “you can’t beat Leon Edwards either”? 😂😂😂 We are fans! We aren’t here to fight we’re here to watch and discuss. You don’t get to tell us how to react.
The mental gymnastics from Chael to defend his son is amazing lol.
great stuff as usual. it's so soothing listening to chael
Likely a mix of things happening with Colby in the octagon. Some ring rust, sure. But the idea that Colby was just going to be in Leon's face all day and not get severely punished for it was the narrative before the fight. That was considered his key to victory and I think once he stood in front of Leon, it just wasn't that easy. And then when he did finally get his hands on Leon, Leon's looked physically stronger than Colby. Everyone thought it was a mismatch because in many minds it's wrestlers beat strikers but in this case it felt like the opposite.
Yup, the fact that people saw Leon manage Usmans wrestling (strongest WW ever possibly) and thought he’d struggle with Colby made no sense to me. Then again a lot of people thought Colby did really well in the first Usman fight while I thought he got absolutely smashed in terms of the amount of damage he absorbed. Leon gonna make Belal look this way too, just like that first fight that ended in NC
Did y'all forget that Colby was sick during his interviews? If Colby had the virus that was going around the world right now, he was probably weak. I had it during the week of Thanksgiving and it seemed like I just fully recovered from that a week ago.
@@brotherjames2204 you mean he had "the sniffles" like he accused Leon of having?
One of Chaels best takes on both Leon and Colby.
The reason it happened so late was because Leon was actually injured from kicking Kamarus legs about 100 times or more. He was limping around backstage before even being told that Colby was 100% next so Leon wasn't avoiding the fight.
Apparently Leon's been ready for like 5 months which tells me that he was ready to be on the MSG Jones vs Stipe card and the rumour was Jon wasn't sharing a card with Colby and ended up being the last ppv of the year. In my opinion if that whole thing didn't blow out of control with Usada i think UFC wanted to out Conor vs Chandler on that card at 296. Leon hasn't been able to actually show his true quality since RDA which I think was a great performance and Diaz until 1 minute left but he's had to focus his camps on the grappling mainly for 3 straight fights and probably a similar camp for Belal. So its hard for a fighter like Leon to use a exciting style when one mistake can cost the round if he's taken down and held on the bottom. His gameplay against Usman for the trilogy and against Colby were genius. Totally shut down his opponents biggest threat while controlling the pace and flow. Deserves credit.
Credit for the loyalty and for helping build towards Colby getting back on the horse with a nod to the inactivity pleading. But before you complain to people for kicking sand in Colby's face consider that it's not the fact of losing that got anyone offside. On my best day I wouldn't make it out of round 1 with Leon, but I also wouldn't trash talk about his deceased father on my worst day. Colby has made his bed. Don't come crying on his behalf, Uncle Chael. I'm sure he'll get his chance to go again and will again have choices to make about how to go about things at that point. In my opinion Colby v Gilbert Burns is the fight to make.
Perfectly put
Colby doesn't have the eye of the Tiger any more... I think the first fight w Usman took him to a place he is afraid to go again. He was timid in the second Usman fight.
I'd argue his performance in the second fight was better than the first. To lose the first two rounds, the second by 10-8, then win the next three was an amazing feat.
@@hardnewstakenharder I thought the first Usman fight was better. He started very slow.
@@hardnewstakenharderit was a better performance because he came out of that skittishness mid-fight.
Unfortunately for the Leon fight he never stopped being skittish. Even the round he won. He knew he was down on the cards but still refused to go for sub and instead chose to do some weak body strikes.
It’s definitely something apart of Colby he has to fight.
😂😂
What happened you ask? Colby simply didn’t show up then made a fool of himself during the octagon interview. “It was an easy fight for me” he says after getting absolutely owned….
“People spend their hard earned money to watch me fight so I put on a show for them” he says after literally not fighting in his *third* title shot. Fucking joke
Covington going 5 rounds with Leon would be a positive if it was a war but it wasn’t, Leon was in cruise control, minding his p’s and q’s and that was it.
I agree, Colby clearly wasn’t trying his best. He was moving backwards the whole time instead of pressuring forward. Which was his best weapon
@@russianbot2630He definitely didn’t show 100% of what he has to offer. Could just be an off night too. It happens. With the success he saw in round 5, I think he could’ve done even better if his leg hadn’t taken so much damage from the start. Could be the chance for a legendary comeback too.

Colby got fraud checked. He hasn't been a top fighter for years now; his only wins in FIVE YEARS are lightweight RDA, old Lawler, old Woodley, old and lightweight Masvidal. He has not proven himself against top contenders the way Belal has. Real fans knew he was nothing but a name and a rank squatter.
His shtick was being the Working Class American's fighter, but he called us broke bitches the instant we booed him, smh. We saw the real Colby in more ways than one Saturday night.
a little ring rust, but I think what happened is Colby felt Edwards power and fought to not get hurt or possibly knocked out after the major and disgusting comment he made. He knew he could walk into something serious and he wasn't risking a KO loss.
I agree. I felt like he knew he fucked up after that dad comment & only said it because he messed up his 7th layer hair line
He never felt the power, he was afraid of it. It was in rounds 4 and 5 where Colby realized Leon doesn’t have crazy power

Yeah it’s honestly weird and sad. I don’t know if it was a White American from Oregon comradely thing or what but it’s weird.
Covington spent his whole career avoiding the fights that would actually help him become champion is what happened. Who has he ever got in there with that would actually sharpen him up to beat the guys that were actually fighting today’s competition?
Nah then he would have lost and not gotten the title shot. He got himself three shots with his strategy. Just couldn't get it done.
Colby would've lost if he blatantly went after dangerous fights. We the fans are mad because he lost sight of what brought him to the dance. Look at the first kamaru fight... Colby had something to prove because everyone just thought he was a character. He left it all there with Kamaru and fans honored that. That performance against leon was a fucking joke.

great post.
I remember watching Tommy Morrison talking about his fight with Lennox Lewis. This was when Morrison was 45-2-1, and Tommy knew going into that fight that he had 0% chance of out boxing Lennox Lewis. Tommy was still great but Lennox was just far superior. I think that if Colby ever talks candidly after his career is over he'll tell you he felt much the same coming into this match-up with Edwards. Colby took his best swing at the press conference hoping that those egregious insults would get Leon to set aside his superior technique and give Colby an opening......when Leon stayed the course Colby didn't have a clear way to attack. People say just move forward and pressure but Leon's kicks, punches, and elbows present a problem for anyone trying to advance on Leon. Leon is 6'2'' with long limbs. He uses distance to his advantage and practices endlessly on attacking people who would try and cover that distance and wrestle him. That's the facts and the improvement continues to show. That and the fact that Edwards cuts far more weight than Covington and was clearly much bigger and stronger than Colby in the grappling situations.
Leon didn’t do a dam thing but kick Colby thigh. Lennox in comparison wouldn’t have let it go to the bell he was a killer. Colby in comparison won the championship rounds 4 and 5.

He lost, and taking solace in Colby winning 'championship rounds' when he lost the championship is kind of embarrassing. But being a Colby fan, you are probably used to it by now.

@@davidgingell939 Now we know why Masvidal hated him so much. He is a scumbag.
I honestly believe Colby’s situation must’ve been a heavy case of ring rust, as he hasn’t fought in 21 months. That definitely takes a toll on someone’s performance and the fact that his comeback fight was a title fight, which was a high calibre fight and also the fact that he was fighting in front of Trump, definitely got into his head, he must’ve felt tons of pressure. If the Colby from 268 or 272 fought Leon from 296, outcome of the fight would’ve went differently. I don’t think his career is over, I do think he can bounce back from that, as the loss didn’t break him or fully get to him, mostly due to the fact he was able to win the 5th round.
As for his long layoff, I do personally think that Colby was gonna fight in June/July of 2022, but the lawsuit against Masvidal for sucker punching him, made his comeback fight not happen anytime during the rest of that year. From what I understand, I believe he was gonna fight Khamzat, but Khamzat missing weight at 279 lead to him getting moved to middleweight. Then he got called to be the backup for 286, which in the end he didn’t fight, but got guaranteed his title shot, so from that point on, he was just waiting for his title fight which ended up being at 296.
Well said.

Outcome would have went differently based on what? He got beat everywhere the fight went. Leon put Colby on his back multiple times and got to his back like it was nothing.
@@seanm429 His performance overall. Look at his rematch against Usman or his fight against Masvidal, then compare him to how he fought against Leon, the difference is like night and day. Colby laid off for almost 2 years, that takes a toll on you, even if you train, it still doesn’t compensate for the mental factors going in to the fight.
Chael, I legitimately love your channel and you as a person. You lie for entertainment and are honest for morality when it’s appropriate. You fancy yourself as smarter than your audience. But your audience is larger than your past strategy. We understand this game. I respect that you love Colby. But your friend crossed a line that was unforgivable. You would never allow anyone to argue your legitimacy. So don’t do it for Colby. Let him figure this out. He was wrong
He just couldn't figure Leon until the 5th round. He's not done at all.
He never figured him out. Leon gave him the position because he knew Colby would just lay on him 😂
Leon got so bored striking he started doing grappling drills on Colby just to mess around 😂
Uncle Chael does not hide his love for Colby😂😂😂I know that lost hit hard
Does Colby need to get rocked to awaken? In his past 2 fights he looked the exact same until being cracked…..only then did he start flowing & moving fluidly. I think he deals with a lot of pressure & stress, the character puts that on him & getting hit or knocked down immediately deletes the nerves. Idk but he definitely underestimated his time away & looked stiff up until the 5th. Too little too late.
EVENTUALLY YOU ALL WILL GIVE LEON HIS CREDIT FOR HIS BRILLIANCE....COLBY OVERPLAYED HIS HAND WITH THAT LEON COMMENT AND LEON OVER COMPENSATED...IMAGINE IF COLBY DIDNT SAY THAT, LEON WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE RECKLESS AND WHO KNOWS...
I’ve noticed this too, Colby is such a savage that he needs to get stung or rocked to really get going. He was apprehensive in the second fight with usman just like he was in this one, but usman knocked him down in the second round and Colby threw caution to the wind
Only applicable to Usman 2. Ran thru Masvidal every round
Chael always spot on..and on my very best day I probably couldn't go 25 seconds with Leon Edwards never mind 25 minutes. It's the sign of a champion to take the emotion out and focus for them 25 minutes and win.
Colby didn't technically make an excuse, but he did try the 'shake head in disbelief at the judges decison' move and then claim that he didn't take a scratch and he won easily. So he did try to deny the reality that Leon was better,. Chael says something happened in the first round - yep, Colby found out Leon is as good as some people have been saying and plenty of people have been denying.
Colby now on media MAGA tour saying he won and the judges were against him. The delusion doesn't end.
@@renogos117 He truly is the silliest of silly sausages. Do people really find him entertaining? I just find the press conferences in generally, and the 'character' led ones in particular a bit embarrassing. Maybe he's been chucked a few quid by the re-elect campaign.
I've thought for a long time that Colby should be fighting at lightweight. He's a small Welterweight, and he's always facing a reach deficit. He's always facing a power deficit, too, hitting more like an average lightweight than a Welterweight. Against Leon he also faced a tall, lanky fighter, who kept him outside his range. Colby always says he wants to fight close to his natural weight, and he has accused others, like Makhachev (who is big for lightweight) and Khabib of being "weight bullies." Colby, unlike Makhachev and Khabib, has never suffered with a big weight loss. For sure, Makhachev, Poirier and Gaethje all walk around heavier than Colby, and pretty much all the top lightweights walk around at least as heavy as Colby, while all of the top Welterweights are much heavier and most are taller. So it's impressive that Colby has accomplished as much as he has at Welterweight despite his physical deficits. We'll never know just how good Colby could have been as a career lightweight.
If only there was a division between 155 and 170. Colby would be the champ there for sure.
If there was something wrong, he'd have called out a contender instead of wonderboy.
Colby was not 100% against Leon, something was wrong with him before the fight.
Colby is a great fighter...i was hoping he'd win that one...i just wish he would tone it down a fraction, but i get it...i think he's one of the most talented guys not to win the title. (You as well)... I'm sure he'll bounce back from this.. and well said.
You know what happened..."You don't get better at fighting by not fighting" ----Chael P. Sonnen
Also he always says, if you can go 1 more round after fight than you did not leave it all in cage. Now he is saying colby could have gone more. That is the problem, Colby could have done more, but hefroze. Cheal would have grilled any other fighter
All true. It’s just still a complete mystery what happened. It was the strangest display ever at any ufc fight.
Never regret.. your confidence came through your life experiences.💪👍
You can tell Chael and Colby “spar”each other when the lights go out in the gym.
Colby came out w many excuses. Food poisoning, ring rust, i won, didnt let the fans down... But Usman took his Tiger Eye.
Hey got whooped. Plain and simple.
I also don't claim to be the best in the world, talk about a man's father being murdered, then go out and not even kind of fight, you're right, I couldn't do what Colby has done.
Chael for President!!
You making excuses for Colby. No mention that Colby said he thought he won, that he was trying to get fights and calling people out? And, to make out like calling out Wonderboy is a good thing? C'mon. Colby has made a career fighting people on the way out on losing streaks. Wonderboy who could easily retire tomorrow at 41 years old?
I don’t think his leg would’ve held out another two rounds tbh
1:10 lights in the studio go off for half a second so Chael can change shirts without video being flagged as gun show.
Parading him for lasting because he threw away his only chances at winning to play it safe and not get finished in his last ever title fight. The way you dickride him is crazy
I love Colby, always have, but i do think father time caught up with him. I didn't think his body looked the same as it did back when he fought RDA not as lean and hard looking, waist a little bit wider. Also he did very little in the octagon, and even got out wrestled at times. I feel like he should consider retirement or a possible move to 155, but regardless his next fight he is really gonna need to go for broke....
COLBY IS AN OVERRATED CRACKA! ISLAM WOULD TAKE HIM DOWN AND KEEP HIM THERE
Leon went out and made sure he beat Colby in all areas of MMA. He made himself vulnerable in the process. Colby looked confused and overwhelmed. Donald Trump appeared underwhelmed before leaving the building.
GL uncle Chael! This was my take on Reddit and I got SHREDDED for days, I’m still getting hate mail.
Dana in four months: "Colby looked spectacular against Wonderboy. How do you not give him a title shot after a performance like that?"
No doubt.
That would be hilarious. So many fighters and mma reporters would lose their mind
He said he lost because the judges hate Trump. That's not an excuse? Cmon Chael.
“Never made an excuse” ? hmm
well said
I've been waiting on this video... finally. Uncle Chael comes through.. per the usual.
This is his way of saying he wanted Cuvington to win and helping him with excuses as to why he didn’t. I absolutely love Chael
Can someone remind Chael that Colby was running away from the beginning bell? Also, can someone remind Chael that Colby said he went to train at elevation to stay on top of his cardio? Pimblett was out for long with an injury and didn't look as bad as Colby. Last, Chael, give it a break! You know good and well Colby could not have gone another 25 mins!
chael will say anything for money he has zero integrity.
Yeah this makes zero sense, Colby literally didn’t fight from the get go. What a bizarre bullshit performance from him, doesn’t even deserve to fight wonderboy or be ranked
Colbys shit that's what happened
He actually did mention what happened just moments ago on Fox News, he said that he feels that he broke his foot in the first 30 seconds of the fight kicking Leons' elbow.
"my foot was a ballewwn, Ariel.."
Cholbey couldn’t talk the talk and walk the walk unlike Chael poet sonnen. Chael trashtalked but never lost a match, not even a round, became 3 time champion.
The fact is that Colby couldn't back up the disgusting trash talk that he was selling. Had he been knocked out, but actually tried to win the fight, I wouldn't say a word, but the reason why most of his fans are very upset is that in this fight he showed absolutely no heart.
Also raising hands after 5th round and acting like he won was super cringe, almost as cringe as his post fight interview.
If he got knocked out it’d be worse. Because he’d likely get knocked out in the first round.
@@felixgwet Even if he got KOd in rd 1, I'd still respect him much more, but he wouldn't.
Leon is not a knockout artist. He got lucky with Usman in fight 1. He cruises with decision victories his entire career, because he is super technical and breaks people down slow and methodically.
@@rizibizi4995 Leon as a champion is levels above Leon as a contender.
All we can do is speculate but honestly Colby looked scared from the start. When he shot the takedown and Leon recovered and then shot his own takedown and was successful his demeanor changed. The rest of the fight he looked like he just played it safe looking for an opening. I think he subconsciously thought about what happened to usman and tried to avoid that at all costs. I’ll say this I’ve never seen anyone 360 out of a choke before Colby
he didn't look scared lol he looked like he was trying to lose
@@JackVzwhy would he try to lose? Do you think the ufc is rigged like the nfl?

That spin out of the choke was awesome
Chael before Leon/Colby fight: Ring rust is not real!
Chael after: Let me define Ring rust for you. The eye coordination is not there after squatting for so long.…
