Did we-the-people pay for it with our taxes or did you? If you can answer that question then you should be able to understand the difference between public and private.
If we-the-people paid for it with our taxes then it is public property. If we-the-people are paying you salary with our taxes then you have accepted the extra responsibilities that come with being a public servant.
If you paid for it with the income you earned through your private business work then it belongs to you and we-the-people have no claim to its use or who can be on the property. If you are paid with the income from your private business work then you owe we-the-people only the respect necessary to honor our rights as citizens just as we-the-people owe you the same respect necessary to honor your rights.
When you are on or in public property or out or in a publicly visible place where all of the bugs and the birds, mice and rats, cats and dogs, babies and toddlers, tweens and teens, women and men can see you and watch everything you are doing and hear you speak and listen to everything you say; you have no expectation of privacy and therefore no right to privacy. Specially if you are a public official or employee conducting your public duty.
So they use 2 cars and 2 cops for the security of a car park. Surely, a keycard would be cheaper and free up cars and cops to do their jobs. Whoever thought this was a good use of taxpayers' money needs to be fired.

It looks like cheap fencing, probably American Iron Fencing. It’s definitely not custom. Should be under $100/foot, maybe closer to $50/foot. The panels are pre fabricated.

In principle, the legislation (US Constitution) is always leading and rules are devised to deviate from the legislation to their own advantage. They care about power and control! And as they themselves are always the first to claim, 'officer safety'. The police are there to protect and serve the public, but they have long forgotten that! Never sign a thing until after they provide property. They pulled that on me, signed a thing saying all property had been returned before he provided my property. One camera was missing and they simply claimed “you received your property and signed a document stating such.”

FORCED to sign BEFORE they’d pass me the manilla envelope with my possessions. But right there where I had to sign it stated that ‘all goods returned. Goods in same condition as at time of seizure.’
When I pointed out that how do I know everything is there and nothings broken since my signature says that’s true. The cop just shrugged and grinned.
Would it work to request they open it in front of you first? I bet they would refuse to do so. Now I'm wondering what would happen if someone showed up with a professionally dressed person who identifies as a citizen advocate, or ACLU advocate. Armed with a clipboard, lanyard (turned around to hide the ID side of course), and a list of names and phone numbers of lawyers, D.A.'s and judges of the court where the case was adjudicated. And THEY direct (don't ask) the person to open the property first.
Or maybe this is something to get public information about, to see what the real process is supposed to be, and expose any discrepancy. I can absolutely imagine P.D.'s simply doing what's easiest for them (no transparency, remember) Instead of following the proper, legal procedure. Not sure why it bugs me so much, but it does. Who knows what they did t that phone in the months they had it. Does it even still work? people should be able to stand there with a charger and wait to test it before signing anything.

What an incredible waste of tax payers dollars to guard a car park with 2 police officers and using 2 police vehicles. This must cost a ridiculous amount of money that should be otherwise used for its intended purpose (to fight crime and keep tax payers safe).
