The Walter Johnson baseball token is from a boardgame. that they sold to kids to get them interested in baseball. Walter Johnson nicknamed "big train" due to the blinding speed. of his fastball is one of the greatest pitchers in MLB history. he played 20 seasons for the Washington senator (1907-1927). and won three triple crowns and was. inducted into the hall of fame in 1936.
Whoa, thanks so much for this info! I knew someone would know about that coin! Do you know the name of the game? Were there other tokens with other players?
The name of the game is the Walter Johnson baseball game. the one token is all you get they are all the same There are ten of them. And it comes with a spinner and baseball field sheet.
Great video again good sir, and wow that is a variety!
My favorite Coin CZcamsr!! Keep up the good work!!
There is so much more to look at and talk about in a collection like this than most of the collections you show us. A lot of collections are very repetitive. This was fun!
Glad you enjoyed this one, Mark!
I think you have a great start, go for it. You have a lifetime so go for it.
Leopold I (the Hogmouth) is what I know him. FYI Straight Settlements are on the Malaya peninsula plus Singapore.
Thanks so much! I knew someone would have the answer!
I am already trying to collect one coin from each of the countries involved in the French revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. The fall back is one from each German states pre 1861 unification. That is the hard one as territories changed hands due to marriages or lived for a short time then dissolved making their coins very hard to find.
I’m slowly building out mini type sets from silver coins my grandfather left me. Some include Swiss 1/2, 1 and 2 franc. He had the one franc. My most recent buy was the Morocco 500 franc. Had a few 100 franc he left.
I like all of these :)
Lol, must be nice to be able to buy way below current value :P big social media perks lol
The Straits Settlements were a group of British territories located in Southeast Asia. Originally established in 1826 as part of the territories controlled by the British East India Company, the Straits Settlements came under British Raj control in 1858 and then under direct British control as a Crown colony in 1867.
17:40 that's a Moroccan 1 Dirham
The silver coin you called Egyptian was from morrocco
Amazing work u drop so many videos u show " 💯
Thank you so much! It's a lot of work to get a video out every week, but comments like this keep me motivated :)
As a Wisconsin native, I cringed at your pronunciation of Potawatomi. It's pronounced pot-a-watt-o-me. Never seen those sovereign coins before. Very cool.
Lol I know the feeling 😂. Now I know though!
You should watch the movie Gladiator because it is absolutely awesome. I am going to guess you haven't seen it or haven't seen it in years based on how you pronounced "Commodus" :)
Haahah, I think I was in high school the last time I saw it! 😂
You know me. I'm all over the place with my collecting. I have multiple different collections.
I do indeed lol! But that's part of your charm 😜
Silver picker, I’ve been a fan of your on versions account since around 30k subscribers, I was able to get it at around $13 and once and ride it up to $25. I just won what looks like around 30 coin silver spoons at an auction for $20 bucks, what do I do, hold them or sell them?
Amazing and thanks for the long time support! I'd sell them and then buy some silver or gold coins with the proceeds. Yes, you'll lose a couple percent on the sale of the spoons, but you'll gain a lot in liquidity
Im not 100% sure but i think that 2 cedis coin is actually a 1oz titanium coin
What do you use to determine values?
eBay sold listings mostly
Im looking for a 1921penny
Good score! My foreign collection is Canada cents (large & small) and Canada 5 cents (1858-date). I can appreciate seeing groups of coins like this, even if I don't collect them.
Is whatnot a scam or is it just the seller if you get scammed
Not sure what you're asking, but Whatnot is not a scam lol. It's a huge, well known company
@@Silverpicker ok
I’m doing a semi-challenge to collect a coin from as many countries from before 1900 as possible. For a coin to join this collection, it has to meet one or more of these requirements: Be a country that played some major role in European politics, Has a person who was living at the time on the obverse, Meets certain standards of beauty.
That's a really cool project! What are some of the coolest ones we have
@@Silverpicker I collect a lot of English and American coins. I have coins of Edward I (1270s-1300s) Elizabeth I (1570s-1603) William III (1696) and others. My best American coin is a 1798 Large Cent in VF condition
Used to buy this stuff just to stack. Bought it at melt. Sold it all to get better, numismatic coins. To me at least, this is basically just melt value stuff.
I’ve been doing “crowns from around the world” in silver. I’m up to 244
