39. It's a race against time as we take our canal boat up 21 locks before storm Kathleen hits the UK

This week we set off to do the Hatton lock flight in our narrowboat, just as storm Kathleen is due to hit the UK with winds upto 50mph. Once we start the last 10 locks we cant stop! Surely somethings bound to go bump!
Hi, we are Rozzie & Rob with our lovely cockapoo's Ralph & Rosie. We have given up the rat race, sold our house and have bought a new narrowboat, Thistle & Rose. I like how you do the videos now as it shows all the life you live. That being said the occasional video of just the travel itself would be nice as seperate videos.

Glad you missed the storm. Water still looks high that way. We actually love the format as is. But a compilation of countryside shots for sections that you have done, with some of that charming music, would be a marvellous informative record and resource for folks wishing to see what a particular section or sections of the network look like. And also, in years to come, how they've changed.

Cruising footage is always welcome when we are at home looking at a blank wall. Our new boat from Elton Moss Boatbuilders will be ready next month so we are looking forward to experiencing this type of content again ourselves. Keep up the good work....

I grew up smack bang in the middle of the North Stratford and Grand Union in Solihull. Both are lovely around Hockley Heath, Bentley Heath and Earslwood. In fact both are beautiful until you pass north of Shirley and Solihull the whole of the North Stratford is picturesque until the junction but is still probably the better route into South Birmingham passing Cadbury World. The Grand Union really changes once north of Solihull. Cycled both routes into Brum plenty of times. Safe travels x

What direction to take! Head to the north and get the 3 Pennine crossings done, it’s been a wet spring so there’s a good chance they’ll not get closed for lack of water.
Ps. Is that the remains of Roz’s breakfast I see all down her front?

hi there. Roz if you know of anything that removes grease stains from clothes please let me know as i am always getting grease stains on my tops but unlike you mine are from cooking even with pinny on.
