I especially love how the music doesn't get interrupted when you get into battle. The BGM just plays an epic version of the same music, and after you're done, it just fades out back into normal melancholy sounding music. So good!
Agree!
yeah i wonder how they did that
This is what I love about chasm. All other areas I get irritated when suddenly battle ost starts playing. Here it is so good and I love it 🥰
@@beeoo9722 adaptive music, you love this video explaining about it czcams.com/video/yLd5wmBNCBM/video.html
edit: typo
Giving off those Fire Emblem vibes.
I love how areas with thee darkest lore have the most relaxing ost
Tsurumi, Enkanomiya, Chasm?
@@CosmicBlitz001 You can also consider Dragon Spine...
@@yourlocalhuman5737 Yeah that was the first area I thought of, having spent a lot of time there and having 100%'d it recently.
Vindagnr just gives you a different feeling to the other surface areas... It fits in perfectly with The Chasm and Enkanomiya (though I believe the Chasm's upside down city and Enkanomiya are truly ancient, thousands of years old compared to Khaenri'ah
@@Rexhunterj i also have dragonspine 100% it was beautiful experience to travel at the beginning of the game
Yeah, for me I see it kinda like “Time has passed, the air stands calm, but the tragedy that happened here will never be forgotten.”
19:20 Here’s what you are looking for
How do you know! Thanksss!!!!!
howww??? =))))))
Bruh
No way sir
czcams.com/video/gGO2IamK16M/video.html
Here’s a link!! It’s the prelude of the Chasm’s third battle theme
I love how the 19:20 part played, when I first saw that tower from Celestia, gave me the chills man
Yep for some reasons I feel like this soundtrack is perfect as a Celestia theme.
You came from Celestia??
YES EXACTLY i sometimes just teleport there to listen
Ikrrrrr such a great climax to the chasm exploration
It builds up slowly as we walk towards the broken statue and that part comes in perfectly when we get the first view of the statue
Every new ost we get for Genshin is a masterpiece. I'm astonished. Also, note how the Chasm & Enkanomiya both have similar sounding soundtracks. It makes me wonder if every underground reigon is part of Khaenri'ah, and these are all ost for that reigon.
Enkanomiya is from a pre-celestia civilization, and judging by the chasm architecture it is from the same age.
A certain Byakuyakoku soldier mentions Khaenri'ah
So maybe they're neighbors or something?
they both ancient civilization before khaenriah, similar to sal vynd, even though the latter did not sink into underground. Khaenriah would later develop & even become neighbor to enkanomiya, right in the period when they start to go to the surface (sangonomiya)
Nope khaen'riah IS a part of them since those are much more older than khaen'riah and khaen'riah researched on those regions
Exactly my thoughts
Exploring the chasm gave me a similar sensation of Enkanomiya, Tsurumi Island, and Dragonspine. All these areas have no humans to be found (other than enemies), and they provide eerie yet sorrowful tones, representative of the areas' sad lores and probably A LOT of corpses, unseeable but most likely there.
Dragonspine: some aventurer
Enkanomiya: miners
So, there are a few human
Fr these 3 areas are like dark compared to the other 3 nations
Dragonspine has treasure hoarders and the Fatui. undeground chasm also has treasure hoarders and some miners
There are Fatui camped at the base of the Mountain and Fatui in the depths of the Chasm
Hoping Khaenri’ah has beautiful music like the Chasm and Enkanomiya. Both seem geared to traditonal string instruments versus the ones used in the regions where they are.
Khaenri'ah has it's own motif already, it's used in Dainsleif's theme, it is string heavy but there's more to that. The Traveller's theme is strings and piano.
I hope they use the motives from the Norse mythology as far as it's possible. I'm so love the motives in this game. I hope the game will show us the best use of the Norse myths. I'm so sick of its the shit western adaptations
Now Kaenri'ah is destroy, its like the other Abyss Realm we visited :o
Or tsurumi
@@dromdart3563 Enkanomiya is based on Atlantis and use Greek music.
Genshin is such a beautiful game. There are only 3 regions out, and we already have this many beautiful and strange places. Just think of the many more to come as we progress
can't wait to hear all the amazing music and enjoy all the scenery!
It sure is!! ^^ but.... The gb :')

33:23 halfdan's song gimme goosebumbs and tears 🥲
Indeed
he went FULLdan and sacrificed himself
20:07 this part is amazing
21:36 OMGGG THUS ONE
22:01 ... NO WORDS
since the additional three islands of inazuma were added…
Me: okay my fave ost is now seirai
Me: … okay I think it’s actually tsurumi ost now
*Enkanomiya gets added*
Me: definitely enkanomiya ost now. nothing can top this anymore
*Chasm gets released*
Me: … okay, actually… it’s the chasm ost now.
will it ever stop getting better? how is this even possible
From now on genshin ost will be full of depression just wait And watch
@@synthesissixtyfive22 i’d want that 🤤
@@CiandieArt yup it's gonna go like honkai
Full of sadness
well....
the best map is always the next one
the best ost will always be the next one
thats mihoyo for ya
@@electronx5594 not Tsurumi for me. The Tsurumi map imo was less detailed and more boring. But yes i agree everything is so hype XD.
I just realized that the reason Chasm quest chain felt so immersive and beautifull was because there was no voiceover. So the brain melting Paimon squeaking did not break the mood.
That's actually a good point
true omg
Reason why I abandoned the english voice over, right there.
This is a great observation, thinking back. I always attributed it to the beautiful music and sound design, in compliment to the stunning level design.. but the lack of voice-acting added a sense of eerie, empty silence that really matched the feeling of going deep into the earth. The Chasm is without a doubt my favorite area in the game so far
yea do you think its to late for them to possibly replace her with klee voice? she is way softer
21:36 i don't know why but i love this part for some reason.. it gave me a lot of feelings at the same time
It gives me the feeling of khanenri'ah. I think similar tune might be present for the orignal ost
you can hear dvalin ost in there
Mr. Yu-Peng Chen and the music teams deserve an award...every musical piece in GI is a marvel to my ears and the Chasm is no exception, truly enjoying it :)
Track 3 7:38 gives me Sally Face vibes, like a chill indie game or something and I don't mean it in a bad way. I love it I wanna stay in that area where this plays.
I was looking all over the place for this track. Finally found it
it's the ambiance right
where in the game does this track play?
I don’t know why, but I absolutely adore 23:58. There’s just something so calming about the silence between the piano-it’s played so beautifully, I get chilled every time I hear it. Like light at the end of the tunnel, it reminds me of hope amidst the darkness.
Looking up after entering the chasm was breathtaking.
19:20 The theme was like mysterious or from the Celestia theme (i don't sure hehe) and it is like a little bit music like in Enkanomiya
33:24 Halfdan, your noble sacrifice and dedication to the people of Khaenri'ah will be remembered. Rest up soldier, you deserve it.
These background photos are amazing
19:20 reminds me of dainsleif and the archon quest, it makes me miss him :(
21:14 my words are not and wont ever be enough to describe this part
ME TOO
I remember when the Chasm was first released, this particular part played the exact moment I saw the nail from the entrance. I wish to relive that memory again.
The Chasm was just stellar in every aspect. Easily my favorite area in the game so far.
This first ost just hits different for me….😢 i can never forget the feeling of awe the first time I jumped into that massive hole going deeper underground in The Chasm and learning about the sad lore down there…
The amount of Hollow Knight vibes Enkanomiya and Chasm's music gives me is unreal. Calm, forgotten...
OMG YEAH!! I couldn't put my finger on it, but you're right!
don't you just love it when the only thing the genshin fandom can agree on is that genshin has awesome music?
This music really made me feel so sad during the quest with Dain, so immersive. Thank you for this wonderful playlist
I love how the voices and sound effects made by characters have an echo in here, it’s a nice detail
Idk if you noticed but when you're in the Ordo Favonius building where Jean's office is, it's also pretty echoey, in my old days I waited for every character's idle while standing in the hallway to hear it
id also like to appreciate the photos taken here, they are so immersive, thank u for your work!
19:20 is my favourite part for many different reasons as it is for many different people. 20:39 really gives me Ghibli vibes, particularly soundtracks from Nausicaa of the walley of the wind, eepecially the cello. 21:13 reminds me of one part of the first movement of the Sibelius' violin concerto, the way that the strings section flows and the melody itself. These are two of my most favourite orchestral compositions all-time and this masterpiece manages to combine them... I love it
19:20 is everything this area where it starts gives off such a celestia dark evil type of aura like something so different from all 7 nations
So many lost battles were fought here but strength and honor still lingers deep down in these dark corners of Teyvet. The music conveys it so beautifully
I stopped playing genshin cause my phone was literally burning my hands on the chasm part. I hope onde day I get enough money to have a good gamer set up and go back to world exploring. This game really feeds the part of me that wanted to live adventures across the world as a child T-T
I went to this location for the visual and musical experience. I am completely satisfied with what I saw and heard 😌
Woah these images are amazing! Thanks for the music compilation 👋🏾
No Problem, Yes Work Extra for those Images :3
19:19 gives off fmab vibes! and im here for it
Ikr! :D
You took such beautiful pictures 🥺
21:14 this part made me feel like I was abt to ascend to Celestia.
This is beautiful
i like how u arrange the track, it's very good, same like Enkanomiya Track before, Thank you ❤
mihoyo might have a lot of flaws, but if there's one thing that never disapoints it's the OST.
also, the fact that both the chasm and enkanomiya have the same architecture and very similar OSTs is such a nice detail
7:38 to 9:30 are my favorite tracks lol. its plays in the tree / root area where (i think) you get the shriveled seed! i went there for good luck when pulling for ayaka and i got her ❤❤❤ they're just so calming ahhh
update: went there for itto and i got him on my first 10 pull LMAOOO
the places with celestial architecture have the best osts, i can't imagine what the ost will be like once we actually reach the castle of celestia but i know it's going to be just as good as the ones we've had
maybe even better
Heavenly music ost.
7:36 This felt different at that moment since Sumeru wasn't released at that time and this was the closest we had something similar to sumeru looking.
The Chasm is amazing, from lore to soundtrack to the place in general. I was so cautious when I first entered, but now I’m almost a Chasm dweller haha. I enjoy accompanying players who are doing the quest for the first time to help out
I did the underground quest in one day, it was so immersive and captivating. I loved every seconds of it, just like I did with Dragonspine's ones.
Halfdan's theme is so emotional and hits really hard. It is like hope rising from the darkness of the chasm.
7:36 I could listen to this one song on loop, it's so peaceful and yet so melancholy. Absolutely beautiful work ❤
First track? No? Especially 2:26. Setting the atmosphere just right
Ugh 19:20 is the best ong
I really love when in a games the regular background ost, smoothly changes to combat variation - continuing from the same moment, instead interrupting abruptly one track to start a new one...
Looks like Hoyo continues this trend after introducing this in Shogun's weekly for the first time.
U gonna catch me falling asleep in enkanomiya and chasm underground with these music on repeat
my fav theme from Genshin, I go there every time just to listen to this music
I can't wait to learn more about this underground civilization.
Of all the "Abyss Order" areas, The Chasm has to be the most depressing.
I love the OSTs for Enkanomiya and The Chasm underground mines.
One of the best.
The Chasm has the most beautiful and emotional songs of the game.
the Halfdan track is so heartbroken and beautiful T.T
19:42 I love this part so much it has many emotions in it 💖
19:07 gives me Octopath Traveler vibes holy crap
the genshin themes are always so good and relaxing, imo.
its so beautiful and sad... the chasm was so great... but like dragonspine and enkanomiya... tho they are both present forever in the game... we just dont have an excuse to go there after finishing exploration... we have the entirety of the enkanomiya map and the only thing of note there... is the boss... now again with the chasm... such a beautiful place... that has 1 boss as the only worth in returning there
Do you mean an excuse as in making it required to get some reward? Isnt there enough of that?
@@lih3391 no i mean story reasons to take us back to these places. To re-experience them... Like the event in dragon spine, daily quests there too. The domain too was a great idea... Why the heck would they put it above ground! As it stands rn, asides from the one boss there...what is the use to even keep it in the game?
I can never understand this obsession with having reason to go back to a region after completing it. You realize how MASSIVE the world of Genshin is going to be by the end of its development right? Expecting every single region to have INFINITE replayability is beyond stupid. You experience it to the fullest and MOVE ON.
@@Schinak cool and all but why keep it in the game tho? If it has no reason to ever go there again, isn't that huge sized region completely a waste of storage space? Not to mention a complete waste of all the work level designers, artists and composer they put into it. Sure the whole teyvat map is going to be huge, but this and enkanomiya at least, are just extra areas that will just lay there as a waste. It sincerely worries me how many more regions they are going to create like that.
@@nevadachi it’s a sub region imo, of course you will have the desired replayability in Sumeru or Fontaine but you can’t expect the sub areas to entertain you forever. The Chasm is absolutely stunning and just for the sake of one off exploration it’s worth it
Track 7 is my favorite song so far in the chasm..it sounds so
Mysterious..I don’t know how to put it in words
Track 3 just has such a nice vibe to it and before sumeru came out i was constently going there
This part 2:52 to 3:18 is a literal masterpiece
Track 3 is literally my favorite piece in the entire game. It reminds me of minecraft which is my entire childhood and brings so much nostalgia.
Track 8 is by far my favorite. It feels like a little peaceful haven in a chaotic place like the Chasm
track 3 was so peaceful that almost hypnotize me😢
somehow i love the most darkest places in genshin, the chasm is one of them, no wonder it was told its a very dangerous place
Feeling of the sorrowful mystery of Khaenrian people really touches my heart with pure sadness whenever I listen to this epic music.
Listening it while it’s dark and gloomy outside when I’m doing my homework it’s the best feeling ever
especially when its raining or snowing lol
everybody looking for 19:20 but for me 13:47 no less interesting part! Mystical, curious and slightly magical music, for some reason I immediately remember the book "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by Jules Verne. The same vibe and atmosphere.
Also 20:05 is just a masterpiece for me - every hearing make me cry a little and be sick at heart :')
Yu- Peng Chen is a genius as always.
20:05 also make me cry a bit becuz it reminds me all the suffering in Spiral Abyss.
I did the underground quest in one day, it was so immersive and captivating. I loved every seconds of it, just like I did with Dragonspine's ones.
chasm is the best area in genshin, it has a unique & special tone that you could never experience in any other area in genshin impact. i hope there are more quests in that place, and i hope they show us more of dainslef instead of filler banners
Dragonspine, Enkanomiya, The Chasm and soon we’ll explore The Scarlet King’s tomb…I still can’t believe that this game is free…
I admitted i started this game for the waifus but then stayed for the music and the lore…
19:19 NOOOOO this was the music played in the background when I read Zhiqiong's suicide letter... someone was sad, definitely not me.
Wait she actuallly died :( I thought she just went (missing)
SHE SUICIDED?
@@asmobeel9893 I know this is late, but while she didn't literally kill herself, she may as well have - she deliberately went deeper into the Abyss, KNOWING that she was exceptionally susceptible to its dangers, and with no more caution than she'd shown previously.
To be frank, I'm concerned that she DIDN'T die...
21:13 this part IS so Amazing
Sublime... merci.
Thank you for this I love to go only to this part of the chasm XD 20:55
just to stand there and listen to it ^ u^
No problem, Glad you loved it~
8:23 gave me nier automata vibes
13:47 gave me little nightmare vibes
14:33 gave me either any detective noir vibes like Catherine or persona vibes ooor undertale
I still have to figure out 22:46 (might be some pokemon vibes idk) and 23:58 although 23:58 could be same vibe as 14:33
But we totally need for chinese songs, I wanna feel like I'm in kung fu panda or any chinese mythology/kungfu movies again
14:33 and 23:58 reminds me of Ace Attorney or Professor Layton
@@xOynesu I love professor layton and I never played those games lol. I really want to get into the stories
23:58 kinda reminds me of a Fire Emblem game and if not that, then a Final Fantasy game
Fully agree on the Nier Automata one!
on the other hand, 13:47 is giving *me* Sky vibes
7:37 when you inter roots of valley of life region music, the sumeru like place, that place scenery and music is just super relaxing
This is the best and most tragic genshin has ever been
it just describes the tradegy that happened here, a mystery, sorrow for those thousands who died here.Piece, that they finally reached during that tragedy with such cost...
7:38 is so beautiful. everytime i pass there, it brings this wave of melancholy especially with only geo slimes there.
The only area in the game that genuinely scared me sometimes.
When I first entered I thought nothing of the soundtrack I heard in the chasm but then from the point where I started the fatui quests and also got to the dark fog I just felt sad...
Chasm is probably one of the most bone chilling location i have been on. The shear amount of mystery lies within. From the formation, the tunnels and nameless ruin and the upsidedown castle.
Its probably also the nearest place we can truly grasp the abyss and the past due to the heavenly nails, the writings on the walls to the mysterious mud.
Also idk if its just me but looking on the shape of the map, how its structured. It seems that it was carved by a giant creature, as if like a "worm". I know that this place was truly made due to the aftermath of the so called "war" but i just cant help to have those thoughts on it. Same with the white tree, that can be found it the snow mountain and in the chasm as well as the mushroom
