I have to say, I love the video essay style of your channel. You really put thought into what each video is meant to communicate, and the 'chapter breaks' further refine that. Im less likely to get distracted and lose focus because each section is a reminder to put down my side task and just listen. I love my X100V, and im right there with you, it has allowed me to be in the moment and have fun while also taking great quality photos. The phrase 'low stakes photography' was perfect. Your sunset Zine should be arriving at my house soon, and Im super excited to take inspiration from it! Keep doing what you're doing man!

Great video! You articulate the feeling of using this camera quite well. I'm a working commercial photographer who recently picked up the X100VI, and right out the gate I absolutely love it. My normal workhorse is a Canon R5, and while that's a fantastic camera, I found that I just wasn't having as much fun with it as I once did. It's incredibly versatile, but I find myself getting too technical with it. This might be because I use it for work and so I use it with that mindset, but whatever the reason, I wasn't loving it for more casual/creative endeavors. I'd heard other photographers really enjoying the X100 lineup, and so on a hunch I pulled the trigger. I'm so happy I did. For the first time in a while I'm finding myself just taking creative chances. I feel like this camera does such a good job of inspiring and then getting out of the way to let you create. I'm absolutely blown away with the quality given its size, and I'm also loving the limitations (fixed lens) because it forces me to think outside the box. It's just such a great "grab and go" camera, and while it has limitations I don't feel as though I'm being made to compromise with it.

    Makes the camera beautiful.

I agree so much! I used to beat myself up for a touristy photo, and I may not post them on ig, but they will go to the family album for sure!
I forget that i’m not just a photographer but also a husband, brother… so instead of taking photos as an outsider I should be involved as well and take the casual photos too
It’s not like I am shooting film so I should just press the shutter anyway

Great video and i love this channel. Recently picked up a fun camera and with its smaller size its so much more fun to use on a daily basis. Keep up the great work!

Amazing video! I've ordered the x100VI in february and it finally arrived 3 days ago. I really love the small formfactor and wanna explore it and take it everywhere! I've always experimented with cameras (since I was about 11-12, where my grandparents got me a video recorder for around 150€), and I feel like I can do so much more now, since I can take the x100VI everywhere with me, since it's so small, and so beautiful.

Love this video. The message behind it resonates with me in regards to documenting life. And you did a good job of stating it applies to more than the x100, that’s just what you use. Love it! P.S. what strap is that on the 100V? Looks lovely

I have a A7IV which is a great camera but it’s kind of too bulky to bring everywhere with me. Kind of a pain to lug around with three lenses. I have a x100vi on preorder for a lot of the reasons you touch on. Want a camera to bring with me every single day.

Great video!!! I love my x100v and like you I bought it before it was cool. It's a great camera and remarkably rugged. I'm torn between taking it with me or just using the camera that I have. As long as i capture the image, I think I'm still winning :)

I had the X100v and loved it. Then I thought I wanted to go wider, so I traded it in and got the X-T5 and a myriad of lenses...and yes. I do love it. It's a beast. I got the Sigma 10-18 f/2.8, the 18mm f/1.4, the 27mm f/2.8 pancake, and the 50mm f/2. But I also miss the carefree grab-n-go aspect of my X100v, so I've been giving some thought to getting an X100vi. I'll keep my X-T5 as it's a great camera and is a multi-trick pony, but I do like the idea of having my smaller on-the-go Fuji as well. Maybe that's greedy of me, but maybe not. Certainly (a bit) redundant, unless my wife decides to go out shooting with me. Then definitively not. Would love to hear your thoughts on this @ANDRE

Looks like you found reasons to buy two more cameras!
