remember that when I was buying Spec Epic with mini brain in 2018, I saw a lot of movies and commercials about the phenomenal operation of the new mini brain. Since 2018, damper has traveled more of the world thanks to courier companies and shipments for repair than I did during the holidays. He had airing six times. The Blader and its design do not bode well. Perhaps a tuned blader is a recipe for this problem. I did not get any help from the specialized. i was thinking about trading my 2017 giant anthem for a specialized epic, but after 7 years of worry free mountainbiking, i think i'll keep it for a few more years.
question, is Brain system shock suitable for trail ride? eg. jump, drop, gap trail.
I have a 2019 Epic Sworks and when the rear is set to firm, it sometimes bottoms out-I can feel the metal to metal. This happens on small bumps. It doesn't happen as much when going downhill. I've had my mechanic put more and more air-all the way to 210 and I am 175 lbs. I have been told (By two bike shops) that this is a common issue and that I just need to live with it. Not very happy after spending over $10k for this bike and having it in the shop 3 times in 2 weeks.

Thanks for reaching out about your Epic.
How long has it been since you last had your shock serviced? With the issues you are describing, it sounds like you may have damper issues. I would recommend getting your shock sent into us for an overhaul to see if we can get you up and running again.
Mines brand new and does the same thing!

Bought a 2018 epic sworks and have had nothing but issues with the brain. it has failed every 600-800km. now it will be going out for the third time. S says you need to send it in for maintenance every year. however have not had a change to do that as it has failed every year since i bought it.
About 2 weeks ago I noticed my brain fork was leaking air so I went to pump it back up and it worked for about 5 minutes until I put pressure on it and the seals blew off. I want to service this but I’m not sure what service kit will be compatible. Do y’all have any suggestions?
Take it to specialized.

I bought the new epic 2021 13 months ago, after two months oozing oil from the brain tube, 2 weeks without a bike while on vacation ... after another 10 months same problem in the top of the tube ... a real shit

Is this just another thing to break? What's a good, used, full suspension bike that doesn't have a bunch of fancy gadgets like drop seat posts and brains?
dude you don’t want a trail bike without a dropper. I go maybe half an hour max without using mine while riding. Also you’re looking for a bike during basically the biggest shortage in recent history. Good luck man

Everyone who owns a epic s-works between 2018-2020 should SUE specialized or ask for a free replace of the rear Brain system because its GARBAGE worst Brain EVER with their stupid blader whoever designed that should be fired whoever tested that should be fired. Unfortunately SPECIALIZED=Disaster
