This truck is a great build!
My Dad had a '70 Ford F100 Ranger 2WD...man, I remember riding in that baby when I was a very small boy, just a seat belt across my lap, my dad shifting on the column while alternating drags off his Winston cigarettes. SBC 302, three on the tree, bench seat, lots of metal in the interior. My dad seemed so young and vital driving his rig and putting his time in being a good dad and provider.
So much fun, I get misty-eyed thinking about it. I wish I had the cheese to get him another one almost like it before he leaves us for good. And a blue '66 Impala coupe with a 327 with a 4 speed.
    Thanks, Pop!

They did this with so much care for the original styling, and in many ways improved on things without changing the appearance (seat, dash, etc.). The engine is a straight-six 240 with a three-speed on the column manual transmission. It had under 100,000 miles when I bought it and I put 150,000 miles on it. My Dad had picked up a 1970 F250 Longbed Highboy about 25 years ago, and we used it as our field service truck for several years. It's got the old 390 iron head that never worked exactly right. It has the 4 speed manual and part time 4X4 with lockouts. It's retired now, and sitting in our polebarn along with my 66 GMC I1000 I'm hoping to restore someday.
We also had an F100 1970 that Dad had bought in the mid 1970's but he sold that one a few years ago. Exact same body style but it was a 2X4 instead of 4X4. That one only saw winter use on nice days. It had the 360 from the factory which was the same block as the 390. My uncle also had an F250 as his service truck. He had replaced the engine at one point because it was getting a little tired, so Dad put that engine in his F100 because his 360 had gone out. We ran it that way until he sold it. Even a tired 390 was better than the 360.

As always an amazing job. I always love the very tiniest details. They always put your builds over the top.

Bolts are Bolts and Nuts are Nuts -- it's not THAT you put them together, but HOW you put them together! Details matter. A quick view of all the comments show how many folks really do appreciate the finer details. It is always refreshing to see a new ICON vehicle. Whatever the type - Reformer, Derelict, or whatever Jonathon Ward decides to turn his teams loose on - They become the flagships of our hobby. The great videos deserve mention as well. Well done, Sir! Thank you.

Jonathan, totally geeking out with you on this build, it’s just magnificent! Brought back good memories as a kid going fishing many times in a cream yellow ‘61, and later a cool blue ‘68. Love these old Ford trucks!

Kudos on the beautiful build! You always impress me with your extreme attention to details, but today I was most impressed with your kind thoughts signing off the video. Thank you for that!

This is how it ought to be. Original but modern functionality. So much better than flashy and can't leave the pavement.

The 95mph top speed logged on the dash cluster is all I need to tell me this IS one sweet truck. Great job, I hope the owner enjoys it, I know I would.

This truck is beautiful! You guys did a great job modernizing but keeping the classic coolness of the truck. Very well done.

I’m working on my 72 F250 highboy right now and watching this video is exciting. My truck won’t be anything like this when I get it running and driving but these older Ford pickups are such great looking rigs.
