Back in the 1980’s there was a pyramid puzzle called Pyramid. I remembered having it shortly after having the Rubix’s Cube. There was another puzzle called Snake,too. The snake was fun to make different shapes out of it.

The Jing's pyraminx is just the duomo, but with a different shape. Therefore, they necessarily have the same difficulty. Which means you are lying.
The gear pyraminx does not need 13 or 14 twists. When it makes a triangle. And its not alinged. It turns

You don’t need to have the edges flat to turn the gear Pyraminx, the tips WILL look offset, but you can still turn it (the tips will look half a turn offset)

once learnt, the master pyraminx is pretty much easier than the 2x2 in terms of how much you need to learn, yeah it takes longer but dont need to learn anywhere near as much
