      I guess man🤣. I guessed your paying for the luxury of having a more compact tool. I don’t mind the size of the 887. It’s a powerhouse as far as torque I think. But the 850s design is more appealing to most. Can’t go wrong with either one. Thanks for the comment brother. Take care

      The 887 is power and the 850 is speed. In this one particular instance the math evened out, but there's proper applications for both of their individual strengths

      @@lukenance1088 I'd think the 850's speed would be favored more with smaller fasteners and thinner lugs overall, where the 887 should power through more demanding thicker/harder stuff with it's lower rpm/higher torque setup. At least that's what it seems like to me

    I was trying to decide between these two a couple months back and ended up buying the 887 because it seems more capable of doing delicate work and has basically the same power as the 850 plus it’s USA made! Yay! 🇺🇸 the only downside is it doesn’t fit inside a 5.5” (2x6 studs) wall space with a short screw but that’s a pretty rare situation I got into and I ended up being able to use tape to secure some backing for drywall patches so they didn’t fall through the wall when installing.

    • @IMPACT-NATION
      @IMPACT-NATION  Před rokem

      Yes sir. It definitely has almost identical power to the 850. The 887 was the flagship for a long time and I still see it used by many people on the job all the time. VCG gave them a bad rep cause they pushed it to hard in those aggressive test so of course it over heated. It’s not the most powerful and not the best but what is? Lol. If you got a great deal on it and it accomplishes the jobs you need it to then it’s a win brother

    The atomic sucks. The xrp is far better. Used both daily for 6-7 months 8 hours a day. If you really want the best though it’s Milwaukee, but the dewalt xrp is a close second.

      I like the dcf840 to be honest. That’s my favorite out of the bunch. I sold my atomic. It was cool at first but that bulky ass head got old quick 😂. I got the Milwaukee Gen 3 and that thing’s always been a beast👌

      Yeah the wrenches don’t have the rpm’s like the drivers bro. That’s what I’m use too. Nowadays they’re making impact drivers just as strong as impact wrenches. Kinda of a slower sustained torque on the wrenches. Idk why I just like the compacts for some reason. Surprised me though how good they drove that 1/2 inch x 10 lag. Appreciate you checking out the video brother👊

      I only used the 887 a handful of times buddy. I liked it especially with the small Powerstack on it but I used the 850 for months and then the 840. 840 is my favorite and the only dewalt impact I have left

I thought it was pretty good especially putting the Powerstack compact battery on it but I still like the 850 better. To be honest my favorite dewalt is the Dcf840. That thing has some power to it and still compact size. I’m pretty sure the 887 runs warmer than the 850 though.
