Hall of famer, pro tour all star but he plays on every platform because he's also a streamer. So it's not unusual to see him play on Arena, mtgo, writing articles on channelfireball or smashing it at the pro tour. Dude can and does do it all
Ocelot pride is the new fire covenant. Every single time it shows up, lsv says how much he loves it but never picks it.
the emperor of bones on arena is really annoying. You have to hold full control but then when you go to the graveyard select screen you can see in bottom right that it takes off full control, so you have to do it again while on that screen. Love the draft!
Gotta love being 90% monoblack and picking up all the fetchlands anyways because they literally wheel to you.

@@anthonyjs8048 Close! It was an analysis on how Oracle of Mul Daya went from one of the most powerful green cards in vintage cube to being removed in only a few years. (It was actually on the evolving role of the audience in live entertainment and how theatre is uniquely situated to collaborate with the people who attend events to generate spontaneous narratives creating an experience that cannot be replicated through digital mediums)
@@robertfuson2253 that's interesting but an obvious contrast is twitch streams. I'm not really on twitch but that seems like an interesting angle of comparison where audience participation, especially in smaller streams, is very active.

I love theater, but I am not sure if I would attest this as one of its domains of exclusivity.

on the full control issue at 25:47 the solution is dumb you have to use shift control and then end it later otherwise arena thinks "oh silly you didnt mean to full control let me undo that".

Its seems like people don't respect the Yawgmoth tokens package enough. I've drafted the arena cube 4 times since it came back and ended up in either Rakdos or Orzhov Yawgmoth every time because the aristocrats cards go really late

LSV, you have to Shift + CTRL to hold full control and I think that lets you use Emperor of bones exile trigger + adapt.

Love the fresh content! Vintage cube is sweet, but there are so many other cubes out there to play.
I was completely unaware that there were online specific cards and mechanics, that's very neat.
Passing Norn in a tokens deck made my eyes bleed.

@@Mitch_Feral yeah the online specific cards are called Alchemy cards. Every main set that comes out, a couple of weeks later wizards releases a dozen or so extra cards called Alchemy: Whatever set as an add-on to the set for arena only. Those cards can be used in Alchemy, Historic or Timeless formats as well as a few of them added on to the various cubes.
That was a great video. The quality of arena cube has gotten really really good over the last year or two. A good 70 or 80% is easily just vintage cube now in quality. And many alchemy cards are just busted.
If they just add power, all of which is already in arena, it would be a strong competitor to vintage cube.

Yeah, the arena populace are definitely sleeping on fetch lands, I got a marsh flats 11th pick yesterday. One draft I saw 8/10.
I think you have to hold the control button so it stays active, if you just click it it turns off whenever a phase changes (which makes no sense but yknow)
This deck was sweet, gotta try a sac/tokens deck when I get the chance I’m inspired !
did an arena cube draft yesterday with 4c Yorion control, had 5 fetches and some super strong card. went 1-3 playing against Ux control all 4 games it was miserable. doubt ill be playing again
They should add Oracle of the beta that adds every card they forgot to print in alpha :D

I love Arena Cube content, I play only on Arena and have trouble in the cube - aside of 5 color good stuff 😂 (I take fetches because I don‘t understand all the archetypes)
LSV, if u had seen a bitterblossom, would u have taken it and added it to the deck ? (my thought process being obviously if it doesn't belong w Bastion it just doesn't belong)
you should set a stop at the combat step. just pressing ctrl only lasts for the current step. that's silly but true lol

i also think ignoring the key to the archive p3p1 was maybe not a huge mistake but a notable one. That card depending on who you ask is top3-4 overall in the entire cube
Agree that key is good but disagree that he made a mistake. Pack 3 his deck is mostly solidified, a token low curve creature deck doesn’t rly need key. Part of why it’s good in draft is cause it’s colorless so u can pick early without committing much . He’s committed here
Am I crazy for preferring Godless Shrine over Marsh Flats Pack 2 Pick 3? An untapped BW dual for the 3 fetches Luis already had seemed more important to me. I have no doubt that Luis made the right pick, and I also realise cube draft isn't an exact science at times, but I think I'm struggling to figure out how to objectively prioritise fetches/fetchables in a situation like that.
Oh dear, got me back into Arena, just enough gems to get in... P1P1 Oracle... 5 fetchlands, Deathrite Shaman, Nadu, Ephemerate, Fading Hope, Sevinne's, the blue artifact copy, Skyclave, Rabbit Battery...
Had a thoroughly disgusting 7-0 run with one going infinite on turns. One game opponent played an Etali to possibly take it, then I top deck the blue artifact to copy Etali and we both ephemerated our Etalis, wild game. Now, I can once again uninstall and try not to play a bunch of bloomburrow drafts in two weeks. Gambling addiction is no joke, kids!

also i think you should've taken the parlor over watery grave it follows the same logic of being fetchable by 2 of your fetches and it casts some of your cards(lingering souls at this point) plus the surveil is obviously great and the creature centric focus of this cube makes shocks a little worse compared to vintage cube
The full control issue is a frustrating design choice by them. I don't understand why they have things that automatically take you out of it. I wish they would set it to full control until turned off. I had this very same issue happen to me this qualifier weekend. Fortunately it didn't affect the outcome of the game, but it is very tilting to contend with what I'll otherwise call a bug during a high stakes event.
Full control until turned off is what "Hold Full Control" (Shift+Ctrl) is. Regular "Full Control" (just Ctrl) is only temporary -- it turns itself off when it thinks you're done with the action you were trying to use full control for. Basically, if you want the behavior you describe, use Hold Full Control.
I dislike how unforgiving arena is with game actions in terms of priority. I think thats why a lot of recent arena players dont seem too keen on interaction

Those stupid Propserity frames. Not only do have the name of another card more prominently than the actual card, but I can’t even tell from looking what color the card is. They all look white to me.

lol arena is terrible I bought some bundle the other day I though it was cards but it was just styles for cards i dont even have...
and still u play the kids version of mtg, arena sucks

@@nikalussuper9875 me too, and I'm 37 years old. I love how people say arena is the "kids version", some people just don't enjoy an ugly and outdated interface that is mtgo.
That and mtgo cost way too much money compared to arena.
