March of the microscopic robots

  • Building robots at the micron scale is tricky, particularly when it comes to designing small-scale ‘actuators’ - the motors that allow robots to move. Conventional actuators don’t work at such a small scale, and new actuators that do work use mechanisms like magnetism and are difficult to integrate with traditional silicon based micro-electronics.
Now a team of researchers have developed a new type of actuator that operates electronically and that can be layered directly onto the circuit that controls it. This opens the doors for the last 50 years of micro-electronics research to be incorporated into robots so small they can’t be seen by the human eye.

I really get where you are coming from, but when it comes to certain R&D there's a bit of a gotcha. With technology improving at the rate it has been these last many decades, and especially computers, research groups are coming out with new things faster than they can be scaled up. The lithography needed to produce this is a very special bottleneck that even the military can't get passed so easily. Those machines cost billions and billions, requiring massive teams of cooperating pros.
This 7nm tech was developed now because that is Earth's best mass-scale lithography right now. If the military had, say, 1nm lithogrpahy at a scale coming anywhere close to producing something for even 100,000 people, too many private-sector techies would be able to spot it. It would also probably be too difficult for them to develop internally. So, unless it is from aliens I actually don't think they have it yet, tho who knows

I think there is and has been a cure for cancer for some time now. They just don't want the World to know because of all the money they will lose with their "treatments". Treatments that can also cause cancer! 🤔 Its not just that, but do you think its coincidence that so many things in our food and drink cause cancer as well? Nah, they probably all work together in causing and treating it so they can all benefit from it monetarily! They blame the tobacco industry for the cancer that all the smokers get to try and pin some of the blame on other things. In the end its all just an evil scheme to make money off the sickness and suffering of other people. That's the way the world works! They don't care who has to suffer and die as along as they're getting their money out of it! Its a sick, sick world we live in!

There’s plenty of technological achievements that have been used to help people. Ask any amputee who has a prosthetic appendage or someone who is paralyzed and uses eye movements and a computer to communicate. Also, who is “they”? I always know people are full of it when they say “they” want to do something to you and fail to specify who they are referring to.

Then we can imagine even higher up groups controlling these who already do control gje above said things. There are proof and lies about crimes and real conspiracies.
There is a good amount of known connections between a lot of known and lesser known people. I can give examples but just wanted to roughly explain what many people mean when they say "They" and may or may not come up with reasonable points.
Short story: The pyramid of power (hierarchy of all people) goes "deeper" (or higher) than shown to us. I wouldn't say, for example, that any US president isn't powerful at all. There are people quite more powerful and this even exceeds the common knowledge of corruption and lobbyism.

With little or no oversight, some institutions or even civilian at-home laboratories might unleash some nasty infectious product. Who knows! But we can learn from our mistakes and correct the abuse. Everyone gets sick & dies leaving nobody to revolt against the ruling bodies, or its a success & they become the cure all to end all like they said. But that won’t be the outcome! We can’t mix AI with our organic bodies it will not hold & people will suffer greatly when their bodies begin to reject the bots but it will be to late. i feel like that for robots to be introduced into the body they are essentially going to have to work and get energy the same way cells or more accurately cellular proteins do.
there are proteins in the body that either along or in conjunction with others that do all sorts of mechanical jobs. Muscles and how they work is one example.
Or really the problem is providing a energy source to something that small which i can't see being anything other than biochemical and ideally based on something the body has.
