Star Citizen is an in-development multiplayer, space trading and combat simulation game. The game is being developed and published by Cloud Imperium Games for Windows. An extended retry of unrealized plans for Freelancer, Star Citizen is led by director Chris Roberts. This was my 1st ship, I have never regretted buying it and will never sale it. It still has so much versatility you really don't need other ships unless you want specialized ships.

Something i have always loved about the connie is the sheer number of mfds for the pilot.
I generally dislike the interior layout - too much unused room on the bridge, poorly designed crew habs, the shower is only a shower. The elevator dead center of the crew habs also feels like a hazard.
Connie could really use a nice refresh to current standards.
The Andromeda was the OG Connie variant and my first pledge. There is a bug where the Merlin wont redock but can dock with other Connies once. If you had a second Merlin or Archimedes, you could dock with the bugged ship. It worked good for a few patches then PES broke it again afaik. With a full Mil A-spec fitment it's a pretty tough gunboat that favors forward arc fast attacks like RSI ships typically do. Your co-pilot operator seats for now can only use scanner mode or missile mode iirc while pilot only flies and shoots. It's got 2 missile types stock. It was the deadliest ship with the most kills in the Xeno threat world event when it was working properly.
This is usually my daily driver. 4 Size 4 guns, two turrets, and 52 missiles. Sluggish in a dog fight but with a crew, a formidable ship. You can also divert to the shields, and put more power to forward shields (8 on num-pad; 5 to reset power distribution). I do this to take out the turrets.
The Andromeda was my daily driver for over 3 years loved it!!!! BUT i switched over to the Taurus because of the bigger cargo hold and an awesome tractor beam underneath. More cargo space and that tractor beam lets me get more shit done, and is bigger for more vehicles to fit. I am usually alone in my shit so i rarely used the snub. When the snub's docking was working it was awesome though, but nobody wants to be a gunner or fly a snub when they can just fly there own better ship!!
Snub will redock if you fly at least 20km away from the mothership and then fly back. Persistence allows your ship to remain there. Have been doing this regularly as a workaround.

Can you see your ship marker from that distance or is there a chance to get lost?
I like the multicrew idea, but here you can see the problem, there is really nothing to do as a crew member. I hope they'll add more functionalities in the (hopefully not too distant) future.
i use the taurus as my starter ship after a wipe, now i also have the freelance mis that comes with all military c parts so after a wipe i switch them onto taurus and i get a fast ship after every wipe

Hahahaha!! Oh man I am going to follow you forever. I can't stop laughing. First I thought you were going to blow up the hanger when you tried to undock the fighter in the hanger. Then your hover bike became out of control. What better finality.. You must collide with your mothership...đ

I love the Connies, but I feel the Andromeda needs a bit of an upgrade.
It has no more firepower than the others with the exception of a lot more missiles. But double of 0 is still 0, because with how missiles of that size perform now they feel very pointless.
You can't fire them while firing your guns, so you are technically lowering your DPS by firing missiles instead of your guns, and since you can only fire 4 at once anyway having more of them just means you can deal low DPS for longer. đ

That's only a true statement if your thinking about it as a solo player. The seat to the right of thr pilot has missile operator mode and can be used while the pilot fires guns. The seat to the left has power management when using hockey's, and yes all these things work. Honestly my biggest gripe with the andromeda is its too solo friendly for a ship its size.
@@Cherronova So only hot keys will work for the time being? Or are they planning on allowing the screens to function?
@JimDubs_ I'm not sure if the mfd for power management will ever work for the co pilot, but as of right now just the hot keys for powermanagement work, and the mfd for power triangle will show you where you've set it. I've had mine fully crewed before and when it's all working, it's insanely powerful and fun!
Copilot used to be able to launch missiles without interrupting your pilots guns, like how the corsair copilot can.
Also size one missiles are busted, taskforces and pioneers have 14m explosion radius and can knock out crew members through the hull of targets. I have personally seen a hammerhea pilot sniped out of his chair by a taskforce missile explosion

I am so bummed that the Connie has all these issues , i spent hours of gameplay getting the funds to pirchase this ship only to realize that RCI'S flagship doesn't funtion to it's capabilities .. what a tirn off ... instead creating more ships how about we get the ones in play working correctly.. how about that CIG đ€
I only hate its snub fighter. It is so useless.
