Stange addition to the panel. Rambling contributions, few if any insights into German perceptions and unfortunately sucks the life out of the earlier debates. Seems fairly indifferent about cutting off Germsn gas dependence in the short term at the expense of Ukrainian lives.

The UK cannot sustain EU food and drug standards and also have trade agreements with the USA.
Also, again on the UK/US relationship in connection to N. Ireland. I drove the length and breadth during the 80s and 90s and almost every bar I drank in had an IRA collection box or poster advertising an upcoming 'benefit' gig. These benefits provided arms and explosives to kill British troops, without US government interference yet they are our prefered pals and the EU are not?

Key to your reply is 80’ and 90’. The majority of people in the NI wanted to stay in EU also the Northern Ireland Agreement brought peace and a level of normality. The political system was set up to favour Unionists as said in the BBC. Boris used the unionist to get into govt. The UUP are now hijacking the assembly for political reasons. Just remember before England set up the plantations it was Ireland. People want peace and economically NI are doing very well. Moderates did very well in elections. It’s the bread and butter issues that matter now.

I missed the BBC Question Time episode. Priceless comment, from Sebastian Vettel. About the UK deciding to go it alone, and not co-operate with the EU. But side with the Anglo-American bloc, over energy, and foreign policy. Sebastian Vettel, outlining his mindset. Alluding to one of the key reasons why, he was to step off F1 racing, on the 28th of July 2022. Annoncing his retirement.

Exactly. The cars themselves might be the most energy efficient car engines ever, but the amount of planes and trucks, and the amount of trips for both that are necessary to transport everything the 10 teams need to go racing at each event is the gas-guzzling part.
