Installing a set of TCMT 18” ape hanger bars on my 2016 Harley Davidson Road King using a Burley 16” wire/cable extension kit. I have already upgraded my bushings to polyurethane bushings previously which I recommended for taller bar setups. Overall, the installation was pretty easy and turned out great. Nice job, great vid! Did you have any issues with the windshield? As in brake/clutch cables rubbing
No, but the bars are not 100% straight as they have a little arch to them so they sweep in from the riser and then sweep out at the top but not issues.
I’m also 6’3”. I’m considering buying a Road King (103 TC) but heard the wind buffeting is rough without using the ugly lower wind deflectors. I’d also consider a Road Glide for this reason but I don’t need all the added electronics. What has your windshield experience on the RK been like?
The RK has options of different fairings that you can add or take off easily.
