      Update: hey guys, just bought a king tour pack from you….. I have a problem, I purchased the luggage rack and installed it too tightly and shattered two of the holes used to mount it. Is there any way of getting “just the lid” without buying a new tour pack??

    I received one for my ‘21 RK as a “Christmas Gift” 2 years back- to me from my wife (still haven’t figured how that was MY gift, haha). TOTAL game changer for your passenger once you get that back cushion on there. Adds to comfort as well as sense of security over the sissy bar set up (which is what I had before). She went from being able to ride ~ an hour without stopping to ~2.5 hours. I’m ready to stop now before her! One other note- Kuryakyn makes a piece (two pieces of metal basically) that bolts to each side, between the pack and the mounting rack that allows you to slide your tour pack back 1-3” to the rear. This gives your passenger some more “recline” so they don’t have their knees in their chest, or if they are a bit more “front heavy” (if you follow). My wife has gone from riding with me MAYBE 20% of the time to like 80% of the time. Love your videos Cage- keep ‘em coming! Happy riding my friend.

    • @CageFreeMoto
      @CageFreeMoto  Před rokem +1

      WOW! Nice gift! Will look into the Kuryakyn piece you mentioned. Look forward to installing the back rest. Then hope to take my wife out on rides, and really it’s me who is not used to a passenger so knowing she is comfortable may make it easier for me. Would be great if I can have her with me 80% of the time.
      Thanks for the kind words! Take care and stay safe!

    • @garyallen6486
      @garyallen6486 Před rokem +1

      Well sir, I am no expert… but it does take some getting used to (having a passenger). Obviously, it makes you WAY more top-heavy. At speed, or when braking you won’t be able to tell much difference- maybe a bit in turns. The real difference is at really slow speed (traffic lights, etc.) Full stop and pull out still give me anxiety, haha. Just remember to pull out in a straight line and then the RK responds really well. Just my $.02.

      I put on my TCMT tour-pack thinking I would only have it on for road trips, however, I am addicted to the additional space and how much easier it is to get things in and out from the rear bag (tour-pack) opposed to digging in the side saddlebags.

    😁 I bought the same tour pack last week but I bought a different steel plate and the liner fits fine. I think the king looks good to me, and can pack a lot more and 2 size helmets. It will scratch easy so be careful.

    • @CageFreeMoto

      I do not think I am going to use the back rest, but if you dab the ends of the screws from the back of the seat with something like toothpaste, then you can aim where you want it to go and drill the holes. I seen this somewhere before.

      Not sure if you can order separately, however, with the cost you would get the backrest and the luggage rack. The price for the bundle is inexpensive, however, you may find it with just the tour-pack on the TCMT website which is listed in the description.
