Endlich ein Video mit Wolfgang Schmidt. Ein wunderbarer Heldentenor. Bedeutend besser als dieses Tenörchen Jonas Kaufmann.
Wonderful performance. The costumes may not appeal to many, but for me they are merely interesting, and they don't disrupt the drama built by a wonderful cast, acting and conductor. Schmidt took me some time to get used to his voice, but dramatically and acting wise he is a very convincing Siegfried
Brunnhilde and waltraute costume ? By far the worst i have seen so far.
If Richard Wagner rose from his grave and saw this moment (55:18)... he would go back underground in an instant.
You're absolutely right. And I think he would want to take the costume designers with him.
I don't agree. Siegfried running right past the people he was trying to meet demonstrates that Siegfried really is clueless. Perhaps here he is trying to find a dry cleaner for his costume.
Where are the other 3 operas? Levine passed away in 2021....surely his estate would want the complete cycle to come out.
Starring... Spongebob Squarepants as Brunnhilde. Done.
yes, designing costumes is not sufficient for a stage production of so many hours.
Probably the most ridiculous Bayreuth Ring production ever.
What was the most recent Bayreuth Ring you've seen?
