    My three year old xm3’s left earbud stopped working recently. Turns out it was the battery, which subsequently exploded on it’s own minutes after I replaced it. Fun stuff, and thanks for the guide.

    Concerning attachment of the little metal strip to the battery (around 2:05). My Varta INR 1254 battery did not have anything I could attach the metal strip to. So instead of doing like shown in the video (which was impossible), I placed the litte metal strip in the furrow made for it in the plastic shell. Then I pressed down the battery over it. This proved to work.
    Otherwise thanks for this video. Without I would never have managed to change the battry myself.

    hello think the battery issue, for me, might be with the casing itself, do you have a video on possibly changing the battery for the casing?

    I see the battery at the provided purchase link does not have those metal brackets attached like the OEM has. Can you confirm it has those for easy installation?

    • @CentralSound
      @CentralSound  Před rokem +2

      Hello,
      Thanks for reaching out. The small tabs attached to the battery are not included anymore and are not necessary. The OEM battery actually does not have tabs. The larger metal tab is part of the ear bud unit and is already in your ear buds.

    The batteries that I received don't have a slot to insert the metallic contact in. Is it okay to put the battery directly in this case? Also, the red light is flickering and I'm not able to turn the headset on. Is it because the battery is not secured tightly?

    • @shivamxyz123
      @shivamxyz123 Před rokem +1

      Update: I just put the metallic contact underneath the battery, and it works perfectly now.

      @CentralSound  Před rokem +2

      Hello, that’s ok, you don’t need that tab. As long as the metal contact is touching the battery.

    Since recently I have an issue with my WF-1000XM3´s. At first it was just one earbud not connecting whilst the other did. Trying to fix it removed all of the software from my phone as well as reset the earplugs. Turns out now non of them are connecting to my phone or to any other phone anymore. They don´t show up either. Tried the app as well.
    The thing is they do light up and when I put them in my ear they blink blue and say "battery is fully charged" as usual. I just can´t find and fix the issue...

      After having worked on it for hours already I now suddenly found the solution to my problem at least. Maybe it´ll help someone else also. So far I had only been doing the manual reset but not the initialization. Cheers
      "When it comes to solving connectivity problems or any other device issues, a *manual reset to factory settings* tends to fix everything. To do this, follow these steps:
      Place each bud into the charging case. Keep the lid open.
      Press and hold on the touch sensor on the left earbud until a red light illuminates (around 20 seconds).
      Repeat the previous step with the right earbud.
      Once both earbuds have been reset, use your mobile device to pair with the earbuds.
      Once paired, install the latest firmware before use.
      Finally, if the factory reset doesn’t do the trick, you can *initialize the WF-1000XM3 after a factory reset* . You’ll need to set up all your settings as if the buds are brand new again.
      Place the buds in the case with the lid open, and ensure the indicator lights on the buds are both red.
      Place your fingers on both earbud touch sensors for 10 seconds, and take your fingers off when the lights blink.
      You’ll see four blue indicator lights blink to signal that the buds have initialized.
