Despite the results, Alucard would still probably be the strongest non-stand user Dio would ever face.
Oh definitely
i mean the other non stand users he faced werent that strong he couldve easily won he really is just arrogant
I’m pretty sure Alucard would be the most powerful being in the JoJo universe who doesn’t have a stand (aside from the currently space stranded and petrified Kars.)
And frankly, Alucard could _easily_ overpower anyone with a weaker body and/or stand…
Dio just came into this duel with a better deck than Alucard.
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire I guess the other only contender would be wonder of you or made in heaven
@@ButFirstHeLitItOnFire
It seems that by pure coincidence, Dio completely counters Alucard. Everything Alucard can do, Dio has an answer for.
I think Alucard’s one win condition is to keep hitting Dio until he stops moving, a “Death from a Thousand Cuts.” This would require Alucard to drastically switch up his strategy of “tank the enemy” because Dio would just be able to drink his blood and undo any damage he does. Also it’s highly unlikely Dio would just sit there and let Alucard kill him. If he took too much damage, he’d just stop time and either take some of Alucard’s blood or kill a pedestrian for theirs. Or he would come up with some crafty trick along the way.
Alucard, who can be argued as being “stronger” than Dio, cannot win this battle. Strength, raw power, and an endless list of random abilities cannot win you every fight. A point that the ending of _Hellsing_ teaches.
I just realized something. When Dio started throwing knives at Alucard, they weren’t originally something he brought from home. He got them from a cutlery store in the background. You can even see the glass shattering after Dio does a time stop, implying he quickly ran in and stole as much as he could carry.
I didn't even notice that before now! That's an amazing detail.
After 11 Months we didn't notice until you did now which is such Amazing than i expected tho
The idea behind Dio's Setup for certain things like throwing knives or changing outfits for The Greatest High is always hilarious, like just imagining DIO quickly running into a store to grab more knives or combing his hair right before the dust clears, looking for a road roller he saw at some point during his timestops, it's just always so funny to imagine.
@@thunderdrae7749 I can just vividly see DIO running down stairs with polnereff in his hands and running back upstairs to find a chair

jonathan really got people from other shows respekking him
I like how they added DIO’S original vampire abilities, the voice acting was very good too.
Also Alucards VA kinda reminds me of dbz abriged cell
@@King.Minos.They are actually the same voice actor.
@@averagamer9222 cool
Yeah they gave Dio the powers he Lost when the stands were formed. Like legitimately the stands made it so his "vampire powers" were no longer useable outside of his taking over a host with his own blood, and then you have the fact that the only true way to kill Alucard is to destroy his coffin which has his seal to the gates of hell on it and that is what is keeping him alive. He gets stabbed in the heart multiple times and at the end of the manga he actually goes out and starts rebuilding his collection of souls all over again so he can have his immortallity returned.
@@bloodthornbladethrower9209 There is nothing in JoJo's chapters or any guidebooks or Araki statments that says DIO lost his vampire abilities.
He is still able to heal, suck blood, and make flesh buds which are all vampire abilities.
The World was more than enough to take out the rest of the crusaders so he didn't need anything but his regeneration.
Against his fight with Jotaro.
The eye lasers aren't faster than his stand. (They're compared to pressurized water jets which is way slower than lightspeed.)
His ice can't effect beings without blood like Star Platinum.
Basic logic means he has basically no reason to use the other attacks in part 3.
And that whole bit about Alucard's Coffin being the source of his immortality isn't supported by anything.
All the statements from experienced Vampire Hunters & Major in addition to ones Alucard made himself about his lives system or his large but ultimately finite mortality would be contradicted if that was the case. (Reread Volume 9 on mangasee if you need a refresher.)
In his fight against Walter he flat out tells him he thought he was about to lose.
Which would not be possible if his coffin was the source because Walter never interacted with it during the fight.
I like how this whole Death Battle was basically evidence that Dio would've won against the Crusaders if he wasn't so arrogant.
"Crusadors"
He wasn't arrogant with Kakyoin or Polnareff (if Jotaro didn't move his finger, Polnareff would die)
He's only arrogant with Joestars
@@lesscringeymapperdude Exactly. Jotaro could only freeze time for two seconds, and he didn't even know he could until it was just him and Dio. Dio could've froze time when they broke into his coffin, punched holes into all of them, and then it would've been over
@@PassionYetPeace I mean eh dios time stop at the coffin was only 4 seconds and there were 5 crusaders right there
Well Dios powers mostly rely on his opponents *not* having the same powers or a counter to said powers.
Time Stop does nothing when your opponent also stops time.
Stands not being affected by non-stands doesnt help when your opponent uses a stand.
His vampire powers rely on the enemy not knowing hamon.
etc.
Allucard: "You killed me? Nice start. Now do it another 3 Million times."
Dio: "K".
DIO: “Oh please at least try and make it a challenge.”
To be fair, Jojo’s vampire only being weak to sunlight, hamon, and stand powers is really what seals it. The only way I can see Alucard pulling off a win is by making doubles and holding Dio off until dawn. Even then, Dio could just use The World to stop time, one shot all the doubles, and find cover.
@@cyborgcatrj6794 Allucard could punch or Telekinetically lift Dio into space.
He can see the sun rise as he leaves earths shadow. But I guess even that is not enough victories to win this Deathbattle.
@@cyborgcatrj6794 nah. Even if you only take away all of Alucard's vampire powers and leave him with only his Schrodinger cat abilities (since that's the argument they used to NOT give him Schrodinger's cat, to "not break the lore and rules of the universe" -even though they have Dio both his part 1 and 3 powers despite Dio never using any of his greater part 1 abilities in part even after consuming Joseph's blood- ), there's no way Dio can kill someone who's alive and dead at the same time. At that point, all Alucard has to do is wait out the sun to kill Dio, and that's only IF, and I mean IF holy weapons can't hurt him (and I highly doubt they don't, considering part 7, even if that takes place in an alternate universe). And at the end of the day, who even IS Dio? An ungrateful, lowborn street rat rugby player turned vampire who spend the majority of his immortal life stuck in a coffin under the sea. No formal training, no great feats to call his own. Compare that to a GLOBAL WALLACHIAN SENSATION: a 500+ years old romanian ruler, accomplished vampire hunter and world war 2 veteran, Vlad the bloody Impaler, trained in the art of war, marksmanship and swordfighting. Alucard stomps Dio on experience ALONE
@@christopherg2347 Valid, but that still doesn't counter time stop. He would just stop time and slip out or something.
I sometimes wonder if deep down Alucard would be giddy at the thought of a lone opponent being strong enough to give him the excuse to go level zero
Well, one thing’s for certain, he’d be on an absolute high if a human did it.
He's openly wanted to lose to a human. Dio is just too broken for a conventional fight. If he was stripped to a strictly vampire on vampire duel Al would win given his level of experience and multitude of abilities. Dio's stand was realistically the only thing that saved him. Remember he was beaten by mere humans not once but nearly five times. Al took on Rip Vanwinkle and Alumbra without needing any help. If you compare their abilities Dio is vulnerable to sunlight and even decapitation. Al's been decapitated but regenerated after toying with Anderson. The only way to stop Al was to literally wipe him from existence by using a power Schrodinger had.
@@GageFromTheGraveso you want to nerf Dio so alucard can win? Doesn’t work like that man
@y_mh9051 No I'm not asking for a nerf. I just think a battle would've been better if Dio had someone on his level rather than somebody who he could just freeze whenever he gets hurt.
Probably not, honestly. Alucard enjoys a dangerous fight but he only wants to be killed by a mortal man.
I love the detail of how DIO gets HIGH after being stroke by a literal sea of blood. He did absorb enough blood to fully takeover Jonathan’s body and power-up, but it was just not pleasant.

Flight isn’t a vampire ability but rather a stand ability that explains why jotaro was also flying when they fought.
Even then, they don't actually fly. That was more or less an error made by the animators. They're supposed to only be stand jumping in the original manga
Yeah it's actually jotaro jumping with the stand he did it before with iggy
They didn't wanna show Dio and Jotaro piggy back riding their Stands because of how silly it would have looked.
Did anyone realize he just crashed the Fastest Jet in history?
I mean Alucard
Dio was so fast, he managed to do his hair and put on lipstick in 2 seconds
Edit: Lmao 1k likes thx I’m glad we can all see where Dio’s priorities were
Good to know he's putting being 1500x faster than light to good use, you have to look your best when fighting someone to the death tbh
Lol
It’s almost like he stopped time !
Most importantly, He deflected the emerald splash.
style is everything
"How would Dio know to attack his heart" Lmao he does it 30 times in the show
Also, The World is strong enough to obliterate Alucard's entire body in a normal barrage of punches anyway. Even if Dio wouldn't figure out that Alucard's heart is his weakness, Dio would target the heart anyway since Dio has such a major habit of obliterating the bodies of his enemies (donuting Kakyoin, caving in Polnareff's torso, nearly crushing Jotaro into a pancake with the Road Roller, etc).
Even setting that aside, Alucard's heart is the only thing remaining after his eye beams destroy him. Dio is very perceptive and likely caught onto that being his source of regeneration.
@@itsyogirlcrim1476 Exactly. The fact alone that Alucard would not be able to see The World would itself be enough to tell Dio that Alucard isn't a Stand user, unlike Jotaro or Joseph (just to be clear for any Hellsing fanboys watching this, but The General's smoke form is _not_ comparable to a Stand). This by itself would also allow Dio to adjust his strategy more accurately, including Alucard's heart being a weak point.
This is actually important, because some people try to argue that Dio lost his Part 1 powers (freezing, eye beams, body control, etc) in Part 3, but this is incorrect: the entire reason that Dio doesn't use some of his Part 1 powers against Jotaro is because those vampire powers are _NOT_ useful in Stand fights. For instance, Dio's freezing wouldn't work on Star Platinum since there is no moisture in non-Bound Stands, and Jotaro could just use Star Platinum's materialized body to harmlessly block the eye beams if Dio tried to use that attack on Jotaro (which is why Dio instead chose to use a hail of metal knives for danmaku to overload Star Platinum's accuracy). That's the real reason Dio chose not to use those powers in Part 3, instead of the bull idea that he lost them.
Therefore, Dio figuring out that Alucard _ISN'T_ a Stand user would allow Dio to use those powers to their fullest; freezing Alucard solid in any moment Alucard tries to touch him, Dio using the eye beams to chop up Alucard and/or Alucard's army in one blast, etc.
@@mrreyes5004 Even then, with HFTF it outright shows Dio can use his Part 1 powers to begin with by displaying moves such as the Space Ripper Stingy Eyes and Cryokinesis grabs. Even if you set that aside and still don't buy him being able to use those abilities, drinking enough blood from Alucard should help him gain full control over Jonathan's body to enable him to use those abilities anyway. No matter how you look at it, he'll still likely be able to use them eventually at some point in the fight which would severely hinder Alucard further given the stat advantage Dio already holds over him on top of the time stop.
@@jascarnage7chaosofdarkness818 If this was highest version of Dio vs regular Alucard you'd all be right. Schrodinger Alucard is vastly superior as he has infinite lives, not 3 million. Plus he can exist anywhere including your mind. All souls do is give Alucard 3 million resets and a useless zombie army. None of his other powers rely on them.

Dio would have the same regeneration as he had in Phantom Blood, so the Jonathan body argument is redundant here

Alucard can instantly regenerate from any physical wound, including decapitation, and being completely turned to mincemeat. That's why his enemies had to use magic/metaphysical traps against him. Dio has literally no means to kill him.

The VA for Alucard for this fight reused one of the vampire's ACTUAL voice lines from his OFFICIAL VA for Hellsing Ultimate. Said line being "If I'm a dog, then you're dog food".
Truthfully DIO only ever lost to the Jojos because he always tries to savor his time killing them because of his grudge. He had several opportunities in Part 3 to kill Jojo and his friends, but instead of just killing them in a second, he wanted to draw it out and make them suffer, ultimately giving them time to figure out his ability and fight back. DIO versus anybody else is usually as quick as eating a bread honestly.
Trust me Dio would ended the Part 3 by using his own vampire ability Freeze and Space ripper stinger eyes aswell

Considering what a limited sprite set DIO’s animator has to work with, they did a fantastic job conveying a variety of movements.

The world has an effective range of about 2 to 3 meters. Meaning that if The World traveled any further than the effective range, it would get progressively weaker.

I like how even Boomstick's stand like most stands is a music reference, don't know if it was intentional or not but pretty neat.
I absolutely love your channel and videos. Alucard was amazing in this, I was really hoping for him to win! His attacks were just so ghoullish, bloody, and truly 'vampirey'.
First I was thinking, "Couldn't Alucard just stall until the sun came out and beat Dio that way?" But then I remembered that Dio isn't dumb enough to stand around and let the sun kill him. We're talking about a man who once cut off his own head to avoid being vaporized - he knows when it's better to cut and run. I mean, the guy even ran from Jotaro the first time he caved his skull in. Best-case scenario for Alucard is that the fight devolves into a game of hide-and-seek where Alucard hunts Dio during the day and Dio hunts Alucard at night.
Finally, an intelligent comment
People seem to forget that DIO is a very surprisingly tactical vampire, staying cautious, not taking second chances against certain opponents (like choosing to decapitate Jotaro despite learning he's supposedly dead) and delaying his attacks or even retreating when it's necessary for his survival
If DIO was up against someone he was much faster and stronger than him, but couldn't die immediately, I imagined he take liberties in staying cautious on whatever else he was capable of.
But Alucard can take abilities of someone absorbed by him. If Alucard take down Dio's underlings then he will gain Stand and can deal dmg to Dio.
@@modernhiendai
1. Even though he's never done that
He can only absorb their abilities if he completely absorbs them.
2. That's not how stands work
Even then, unless Alucard conveniently gets a stand that's as powerful as the world and conveniently has an ability that counters the time stop, that's just a fanfiction baseless argument.
@@sketchydude8431 Alucard also can search Arrows to awake his own Stand.
@@modernhiendai For one, how would he know about stands?
And two, no outside assistance, especially since it's completely neutral grounds
I can at least take comfort in knowing that this would be the ultimate insult to DIO. See, Alucard always says that 'only a man can kill a monster', and DIO was so proud of 'rejecting his humanity'. This victory means that there's still some humanity left in him.
That is the most Alucard way for Alucard to die
But this also could be a insult to Alucard's way of thinking.
As in this death battle, DIO successfully proof to Alucard that the bigger monster will always come out on top.
My main problem with this Death Battle is that they forgot one key significant thing: at the end of the Hellsing series, Alucard absorbs the powers of Shrodinger gaining omnipresence. He is everywhere and nowhere. I can understand why they excluded this, as it makes him impossible to actually be defeated. However, if they are pitting two oppositions at their STRONGEST, I don't think this is a fair representation.
@@paradoxchild5432 Umm, dude, at the post fight analysis they actually talk about the cat boy's power and how Dio still could win with his hypnosis by making Alucard believe he doesn't exist.
And it's not omnipresence, it's "alive and dead as long as no one's looking".
You talk like the Deathbattle guy's words are definitive. It's just their opinion.

Interesting that dio won this, because he would have to kill Alucard millions of times in order to finally kill him, and that's without shödingers power.
ALucard purged most of his souls with his wave of zombies/familars, meaning at most it would be a few thousand kills rather than millions, but considering Dio can kill him millions of times before Alucard could kill him once, it wouldn't matter.
@@John-bj1zxat the end he killed himself 3424867 times and after that he is everywhere and nowhere basically immortal, death battle is bias
@@indeed3449 He does not have Shrodinger's powers while having his own, otherwise he ceases to exist, that's canon to the story.
It is not bias that he dies to Dio.
The thing is, fighting DIO in a war of attrition is not gonna help Al. It has been canonically stated that the more DIO uses his timestop, the longer the duration will last. Combining that with being WAY faster, hitting way harder, and having a good enough healing factor, Al will realistically never even get close to hitting DIO, and everytime he tries, he'll just make time stop last longer. It also doesn't help that, unlike fellow time stopper Jotaro Kujo, DIO can actually spam time stop (as seen when he decided to troll Polnareff on the stair case).
