  • Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's pardon of Daniel Perry, convicted of murdering a Black Lives Matter protester in 2020, drew criticism from the family of Garrett Foster and the district attorney in the case. Perry maintained that he acted in self-defense, and Abbott cited the state's "stand your ground" law. NBC News Marissa Parra reports.

The event was that he stopped due to the protest. He then DROVE INTO the crowd. Garrett Foster then approached, with a gun he had the legal right to carry around. Perry claims the gun was raised. This is disputed by witnesses. Even in his testimony, Perry said he was afraid Garrett "would raise his gun" ie. it wasn't raised really at the time. In various social media posts he had various posts about attacking people and then claiming self defense. This is completely based on political ideology. And it's laughable the claim of "innocence". You may think so, but I suggest looking into his online presence. The guy is weird bordering on dangerous, especially when it comes to young girls. Garrett Foster RIP. I don't know if you, your family will get justice but you seemed to be a good MAN, which is more than Perry will ever be.
