- Designing an action camera that is good for mountain biking is tough as it has a lot to deal with, rough trails, dense low light, fast action. But I have to say DJI have done a cracking job on this camera. There are loads of awesome features with with the DJI Osmo that makes it the best action camera for mountain bikers. This is my go to camera now for my setup and in this video I will share why I think it's so good.

Not sure if this is new -I'm watching this 2 months after release but, the Osmo 4 now connects to the DJI mic 2 wirelessly. Might be the result of a firmware update but, I think you have one of your wish list items now.
Great video, keep it up.
Thank you so much 🤙🏼
i totally agree...i dont have one but 2 of my freinds do..better picture quality...than my gopro hero 10 my collegue at work told me to get one..but id already ordered the gopro...as of battery they last for ever..for example we do a circuit of surrey hills..we both record the same trails..and my battery will run out..mid trail normally around yogurt pots and theyll still have 63% and i will have to do a battery change...which is a pain as youve had to unscrew the bolt.
ive recently bought a fidlock magnetic gopro mount which is simular to the dji mount,,but i have no confidence in that.
so yeah best save up and get myself a Dji osmo.😊
Absolutly they are awesome. The magnet on the DJI is such a simple but cool feature for getting the camera off quick and it's very strong too. As for the battery I couldn't agree more, I was regularly changing GoPro batteries but I did a few trails this weekend with the DJI hovering around 30% yet I still didn't run out!
Nice! May I ask if you have tried 2.7k vs 4k and 60 & 120 fps comparisons ? (We are currently trying 2.7k / 60fps at higher speeds) Thank you
Thank you. Yes I have tried 2.7k previously but for me if I can get the 4k then I’ll go for it. I like the 30fps as it gives slightly more motion blur to help with the speed but I do use 120 if I want slow motion. It’s good to try different setups though to see what’s best for you 🤘🏻
Is the "Horizontal Roll" feature at 7:17 something new that was added in a firmware update? There is no mention of this feature in the DJI OA 4 manual and I haven't seen any other CZcamsrs talk about it.
The roll feature has been on there from the start. Some people may not find it as noticeable but I think it really helps show the immersive feel of mountain biking when you compare it to the GoPro's
Hi Jay, I do enduro trail cycling in Spain, I'm thinking about buying an Osmo camera, in what quality do you record these videos? Thanks.
Hey, that’s awesome! I film in 4k 30 frames per second
@@JayHurstMtb 👍🏻 , thanks, good job this videos.
Can you please tell me which memory card you are using for the DJI action 4. Thank you
Hey, I use a 256GB SanDisk Extreme
Thank you so much @@JayHurstMtb
Can you do a ideo or share your recording settings?
Yeah I can do a video explaining it. But to be honest the best settings I’ve found are leaving the camera in auto for the best all round shots without having to keep changing it. Run 4k at 30fps with rocksteady on
What settings do you use?
I’m running mostly auto as it’s the best all rounder. Manual adjustment is good but you sort of need to set it before each trail which can be a bit of a pain. Then I film in 30fps, 4k, ultrawide, rocksteady 🤘🏻
