- Crazy game of StarCraft 2 played in Archon Mode! Archon Mode allows multiple players to play at the same time and in this match we Lambo, Elazer and Spirit playing Zerg and HeroMarine, Creed, CuKu, BattleB and iba controlling the Terran.

I'll bet all the pros get super frustrated, having to spend their 300 APM on like four drones apiece in the start.
You will love the supply depot going up and down for like 2-3 minutes
Nah it's just a throwback to WoL 5min of dead time where you can only build workers
They probably do perfect mineral splits
The terrans benefit tremendously in terms of resources.
Thanks to MULE, I spend less resources on SCV and only have 1 type of mechanic shield-up, so there is a lot of resource benefit
The scanning range is also very wide.
Blizzard have to block the Battle Cruiser for 5 seconds from using the Yamato Cannon and Tactical Jump
LIBERATOR & Ghost Sniper so OOOOOOPPPPPP.
On the other hand, Protoss & Zerg need to invest more in ground and air defense upgrades respectively
Even Zerg & Protoss' defense towers cannot recover resources, but Terran has another resource benefit with the bunker recovery function
In terms of resources, Protoss & Zerg are at a huge disadvantage overall
The zerg is still garbage
INFESTOR skill Deleted but Ghost skill always non Deleted!!!!WTH!
Zerg units are expensive to upgrade and take a long time to complete
The tech building is also expensive, but you have to invest 50 more minerals called drones there and pay 50 minerals again to produce the lost drone
Are the zerg a cheap tribe? Fukshieeeeet. Zerg most expensive and inefficient tribe
Zerg adds minerals and gas when transforming units
No race is more expensive than the Zerg
One last thing on my mind.
Terran Cyclone & Battle Cruiser can auto-attack
Protoss Phoenix & Carrier can auto-attack
Zerg have no such units
Blizzard needs to patch these issues quickly

As requested, I would love to see more archon mode games. It's great to see the max potential for humans (especially compared to the AI games you recently cast too)

That move at 7:23 😩 the tumor finished at low health and so the reaper moved to where it was and they used the helions to deal splash to kill it. Just awesome

I actually liked watching this archon mode game more than I expected; I'd love to see more, especially if they're teams of pro gamers

Man, this was really cool. Wouldn't mind seeing more Archon Mode casts in the future at all.
For this tournament the only limitations for teams is a limit of 5 people per team and at least 2 players per team. No MMR cap. That's why Maru, Byun, Ryung, and Gumiho were able to play together.
I do wanna see a 2v2 (4v4) archon mode, would be fun seeing 4 people try to work together to keep up 2 forces.

I would LOVE to see 3v3 archon mode become a thing and see the metagames around it develop, especially the different player roles
I really wanna see a Serral, Raynor, Dark together playing 1 Zerg against a Maru, Clem, Byun playing 1 Terran. That is a dream i have for years now xDD

i absolutely love archon mode, that and 2v2's/team games are my favorite casts to watch
Nice cast, and this was an awesome tournament put on by Wardi and Harstem. I like to think it was partly inspired by my comment suggesting a pro-level 0.25x or 0.5x speed tournament, sped up and cast at normal speed, to approximate Alphastar-level APM :) Also 22:07 this is a great map for broodlords and in part because of how easy the mid-map base at 22:07 is to siege from the air

Nice. Lots of muta play. I love it. Also the zerg being controlled by a hive mind is very appropriate to lore.
Though, I feel such mode would work best on bigger maps specifically made for it. This was great, but with that level of control there was no space for anything except positional warfare. That amount of missile turret, lol.

This Archon Game was as much close to "real war simulation" as I ever saw in starcraft game, and it looks amazing. I hope we will see more games like this, thanks Lowko for good work (ant to Harstem)

For Terran, clearing creep requires a joint effort from both the builder and the unit controller, that's why the creep spread was so rdiculous.....if only they could build one Raven

in that last fight you see just how important even a few hellbats are in late game tvz... 3 allowed the terrans to push back the broods and lings

I have watched this Harstem´s channel. It was pretty impressive those matchs. I am still dissapointed though that the ultimate Korean Terran team was kicked out from the tournament without playing against any Zerg or Protoss =(

I just realized why it's called archon mode. Because archons are formed by merging two templar and archon mode is a merging of several players into one side.... Goddammit that took me WAY too long to realize. 🤦

Speed only matters only for zerg players. Spellcasters being the big reason why. Early and sustained aggression is how non-zerg races can gain the upper hand on zerg that has immaculate late game.

having 4 pros controlling the same race is like having all of your cores doing a single task
It would be sick If You could get somehow team comms mixed in from time to time. I'm not sure tho If they even have time to talk, this game is so fast paced.

This was a game from the archon tournament Harstem hosted recently! Its a 4 hour long video but has some absolutely insane games including a team of top Koreans!!! Spoiler, Iba trash talks ALOT in some of the other games XD
