- We're in the project phase where you have ten different things going at once, as work to get everything done to the three hulls in terms of carbon fiber fabrications. Every fastener and piece of gear needs to get sorted out and placed, then removed, before we can start the final paint prep!
Dang, you're having too much fun!
great video. Love the idea for permanently attaching the raising pole to the mast.
Yeah, that worked really well raising & lowering a few times this week. But it’s too long (catching jib sheets). My F27 buddy was over and said, just cut that off about 1/2 way and pin it. He’s right. It’ll look fine when I fair it in ;).
Adding a fairing to make it a sleek bulbous protrusion would solve your issue I think.
Enjoying the build out, mods and updates on this project!
Hey thanks Will. Looks like we might be kinda neighbors; I can hear you guys on Sonoma Raceway track days. I’ll get this boat done and take you sport sailing on the bay in trade for an M3 track ride ;). I’m a BMW fan and my helmet is always ready ;)
@@Ravenswingsailing I think you might have me confused with someone else, but strangely I did grow up in Sonoma just over the hill from Sears Point (my first Summer job in High School) and use to participate in the youth drag racing, and I’m in to older BMW cars and motorcycles, miss my ‘99 2DR Tahoe Sport (your for sale video showed up in my cue) which was a great boat hauler when I used to tow from Chico to Berryessa, but I now live on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. I thought the scenery in the background of your videos looked familiar. I basically grew up right next door to Cline Cellars off 121 across the street from Schellville Airport.
@@kauaislash5 wow, crazy how the algorithms work. Your comment came in as from Will’s Garage, so I looked that up and he’s doing track days at Sears Point in an M3. But I too was a kid in Sonoma, out on Napa Rd between Hyde & Burndale. Our Transpac to Oahu sail was great but next time I’ll arrange to stay in your islands much longer!
She’s coming along! It is a very clever idea to use a concrete form tube to create a double ended emergency stores compartment. Flush round waterproof o-ringed inspection hatches at either end or…?
Thanks! Yes, a new Armstrong type on the outside, and we have a clean old clear-window screw in Beckson type for the cockpit to re-use.
Great work ! Any reason for condemning the remaining of the space on those coming pockets ?
Mostly just wanting to leave original primary structures intact. We don’t have much storage need for this boat, and I’m trying to keep it very light. Those boxes are big enough to hold line tails, a winch handle and water bottles ;). Also there’s a ton of storage room under the cockpit, so probably just some splash resistant gear bags can be thrown in when needed. And a couple super light bean bags for lounging around times.
Thanks for the answer@@Ravenswingsailing . I just bought Mojo #5 and one of those pocket has a broken wall most likely from a knee or something. I'm looking at some options to re-inforce it. Your way is an interesting approach. That's why I'm trying to understand it more.
hi. Are you one of the group that took her to R2AK, or have you bought her since she returned from Alaska? Where will Mojo be kept now? I’m thinking of Point Richmond dry storage for this boat
1:48 Ruby brought the ball, and you ignored her.
Winner! I left that in to see if anyone would catch it 😮. Sometimes she has to wait for the next throw. Part of the maturing process. It’s a long road.
