took me 6 or 7 years to finally get into kelly and have her full attention. I knew she could sing, but the songs those first few years, I’m like, this ain’t true. they finna mess her up real bad. however, once she really started letting them vocals out, she proved she could hang with the best of em on all sides. she can take it country, she could rock it, she got that softer side for an AC, but babyyyyyyyyyy, don’t get me started when she gets in her soul bag! the girl can saaaaaaaaang with the sangers!

When Kelly won the first American Idol ever, she set the bar so high that it was downhill after the first season.
i agree 99% with you, but I would say it more like this:
Kelly was the first winner so she was birthed while the show was still innocent and pure, but I would say that Kelly held that bar for so long until we were blessed with Alejandro Aranda.
Carrie Underwood won American Idol and is awesome has well love both girls. However love Jordan Sparks, Laura Alana, Scotty McCreary, and Adam Levine
