I've had people try to tell me that it was an insulting term for people who believed themselves "special." In any case, it is an insult thrown by people who lack empathy, think we should be like the Borg (none of us is important or special in any way, we're all just drones in the game of life), or are just bitter. Sadly, it's used by both the left and the right, though the right does seem to enjoy throwing it around more.

And with minimal mental trauma considering what he saw and experienced at 18 years of age in jungle combat. However, he managed to come back to the states and raise a complete family with my Mother and two siblings. He was always there, protected, and provided us everything we needed. You see it takes way more than being a Veteran to become a War Hero my friend... that's just the beginning of your journey.

Even though I am from Ohio, John McCain did everything I asked of him since Nov 9, 2016. We needed a President, and John did his best in his remaining moments. What Trump does daily is unfathomable, intolerable, unacceptable, egregious, ridiculous, and causes me to gag.
I once called john McCain's office for help for a prisoner of war. not an American. a 5 year old Tibetan boy had been kidnapped years before and we all wrote letters and China never released his whereabouts. I called to see if his office could help. they were amazing. I actually got a phone number straight into the PRC party. like called a phone in the building and asked "where is the Panchen lama". hang up. next number. same. next number. same. people yelling at me "how you get this number" had I been a real investigator maybe I could have gotten real information. it was very nice of him to help.
