spray some contact cleaner on the cassette loading switch. It's a leaf switch mounted somewhere on the side of the cassette loading mechanism. The other thing to clean would be the mode switch. Not sure where it is on that one. It is sometimes located under the mechanism. Does the bottom come off on that machine?
