The fact that GameFreak finally gave delibird a power-up but made it too strong until it got banned is kinda sad and funny at the same time
It's not banned in 'official Pokemon championships' Smogon is not law man, they are biased about their favorite metas and it gets annoying. There's a lot of new strong mons and strats to be found out. But the battles get really stale if you can use your favorite Pokemon just because a non official community said so

I love Tatsugiri as a “glass cannon” type pokemon. High SP Attack, Very fun to play with throughout the story, and the fact that it disguises itself as a nigiri sushi is amazing! 😂
Assult vest is a great item on it
I have an Iron Bundle on my team, and it is so much fun to use in Pokemon battles because I have it use Freeze Dry and Water Pulse for STAB, Drill Peck for coverage against Fighting, and Flip Turn for when it needs to get out of a situation. It also has Jolly nature and Booster Energy to make it faster in battles, and its TeraType is Ice in order to increase Freeze Dry's power.
Special attack down on a special attacker. And drill peck? Yeah idk why you even typed this out.

On the contrary, Palafin as a playthrough Pokemon has been clutch for me personally and I'd recommend it. I may be bias because it works a lot like Meowth with U-Turn which I use often, but it's very useful at the head of the party to type check the first pokemon an opponent uses, dealing some damage while safely switching out early for a better type coverage as well as fulfilling the task to costume change for later.
Except Meowth doesn’t come back more powerful. Not exactly the same
I used iron treads that way with volt switch and my meowscarada had Uturn. It was good way to swap safe and get a good type coverage if it was bad match up
The habit of using switch out attacks is the focus of my comment. They surely aren't the same, I did say a lot like.

my go-to is gholdengo. that ability is just too bonkers good to pass up. I'm a bit sad that Glimmora didn't make the list but I'm glad it was on the honorable mentions. I usually don't bother with hazard setters but Glimmora is just so fun to use.
In my opinion, Chi Yu should not be an honorable mention but on the list. 100 base speed is, while not outstanding, still very good and thanks to its ability and the high Special attack it can easily make use of a Choice Scarf and go to town. This is very dangerous, especially with Dark Pulse having a 20% flinch chance, which can be devastating if it happens even once, since this thing doesn't allow you to take hits and waste a turn, otherwise it'll crush you. You can also just as easily run Choice Specs so nothing can switch into you since base 100 speed is still pretty fast. You can go even beyond that and run a Nasty Plot set, which can easily snowball or blow big holes when used correctly. This thing got banned in Nat Dex OU, that accentuates this things power even more

I agree with most of this list, but your definitely underestimating Chi-Yu and Annihilape should be on this list too.

Gohldengo blocks Mortal Spin as well, which functions just like Rapid Spin, but poisons instead of raising speed
Here's a point about Houndstone and Last Respects: It counts a Pokemon being revived and KO'ed again as 2 separate KOs for the boost. In terms of raw power, it caps at a blistering 5050, or 100 KOs.

50x100=5000, not 5050. Your math is bad! Annihilape is better with its Rage Fist, because it doesn't require KO'd Allies.

I love how Cyclizar has Shed Skin it recovers from Paralysis really fast. 🤗
Underrated opinion even tho it doesn’t have regenerator I think orthworm is the better shed tail-er because since he sometimes slower you can successfully have your next Pokémon keep the substitute. For example since you’re fast with cyclizar, if you use shed tail, the opposing Pokémon could be using an attacking move so when you send out the next Pokémon they would basically have no subs. With a slower and bulkier shed tailer the next Pokémon can hold the shed tail for another move
But you would still take damage and what of you lose below 50 hp?
About Gholdengo blocking Defog and Rapid Spin, it also blocks Glimmora's signature move Mortal Spin due to being a steel-type. I don't know if that's too relevant, but still.

I will call the paradox Pokemon their respective names. Like magneton the Sandy shocks, donphan the great tusks, salamence the roaring moon, hariyama the iron hands, etc.

Great Tusk also gets Rapid Spin, so it can remove hazards while boosting it's speed
Both misdreavus and delibird used to one of the weakest now and now they have become one of the most powerful pokemon in the game in the for, of flutter mane and iron bundle

You kinda undersold Gholdengo a bit.
Glimmora has a signature move, Mortal Spin, that's just Rapid Spin but Poison Type. That type would let Glimmora actually spin on ghosts, but Gholdengo's Steel type blocks that too.
I forgot the Pokemon name but the new salt golem dude, is the best tank we've had in a long time

Baxcaliber would be my #1 because it has access to Dragon Dance and it's signature move, Glaive Rush, hits really hard!
Doesn't feel like speed is a big thing now. Orthworm will out speed alot in matches even having low speed Stat. Just seems like some builds aren't about crazy speed now obviously some are.
Smogon even states on there site that there tier system isn't based on how good or strong a pokemon is, but on how much people use it.
I would add Maushold with loaded dice. Population Bomb is an INSANE move, even with the relatively low base attack.
Add technician and king stone and you kill almost anything, and if not it has an insane chance to flinch

Wide lens is the item you want since each hit has its own chance to miss rather than having a fixed amount of hits every time you used it
Loaded dice doesn't affect pop bomb, it will always try to hit 10 times until it misses. I want to try a coil baton pass into Maushold with protective pads to avoid rocky helmet/rough skin

Sadge that this is only singles cause it would have been funny to have seen Murkrow and Maushold on the list. With Maushold being # 11 on Gen 9 DOU usage and Murkrow at #19.

Murkrow being the only Priority Tailwind setter with moves like Taunt for other support mons, Haze to remove stat changes of enemies and allys like Gholdengo and enemies like the famous Dondozo, Tatsugiri, Flamingo combo, and Foul Play to still deal good damage against physical attackers.
Maushold with Wide Lens, Technician, and its high speed it can faint opponents even with its low 75 attack with Population Bomb which also goes against sash cause it hits multple times and it can also double as support with Follow Me, After You, Taunt, Encore, Charm, etc
I was surprised that Iron Hands didn't make the list. It's an absolute tank and sweeper if you can max out It's attack then use belly drum and drain punch. I like it better than Miriadon.
So can you make a video on the top 10 strongest that don't have legendaries or Paradox in them I really like the new Paradox Pokemon but I only do like in game stuff those feel a little too op for just in-game things
It is so interesting how different VCG and OU singles are played, Pokemon that shine in one, not necessary shine in the other

Covert cloak is a great item for Gholdengo, this makes it also immune to side effects from offensive moves. So this way the opponent can't lower your stats or give you status conditions in anyway possible. Gholdengo is better then aegislash, as ghost/steel.
Ok, thanks for the tip, now I can use gholdengo in singles w/o needing a murkrow to haze- hold it. If use make it rain, will I still self nerf?
@@gabrielchee8470 yes, it still lowers its own stats with moves like make it rain, but it can learn nasty plot. So you can raise your sp atk stat again.
I honestly believe that Pawmot deserves an honorable mention or a spot on this list. Its typing of Electric/Fighting is quite a solid type combo with only weaknesses to Ground, Flying, Psychic and Fairy. In addition, it’s got a very solid base Attack and Speed while also getting some good coverage to the majority of its weaknesses except Fairy and even then, combining its Iron Fist ability with the Punching Glove to increase power of punching moves without making direct contact makes it a great sweeper if used right.
The set I generally run is Close Combat, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, and Fire Punch with Iron Fist + Punching Glove combined with 252 Atk and Speed with the Adamant Nature.
The only reason i say other wise is bc iron hands exists
@@Frost-ux8jx I see where you’re coming from, but I’m saying without including Paradox Pokémon and during the main playthrough of the game when you’re not using Paradox Pokémon.
I gifted my friend my shiny Houndstone, don’t regret it since I want to use one but I do plan to get another one. It should be rather easy since they spawn literally EVERYWHERE.
Tinkaton should have, at least, gotten an honorable mention. Its dual typing of Fairy and Steel, Mold Breaker and Own Tempo, its signature move Gigaton Hammer, and some decent coverage make it pretty viable in my opinion.
It's attack stat is actually pretty low and all that stuff is offensive.
It does have a strong movepool for supporting in doubles though.
Tinkaton is sort of overrated I feel. It’s best offensive stat is it’s attack at a low base 75. Gigaton hammer is great but you can only use it once every 2 turns. It’s physical defence is low too. It’s speed is decent but not anything special. It’s typing is amazing but other than that it’s just got too low base stats. I tried using one in a playthrough team but it just couldn’t pull its weight against my other team members. I ended up dropping it for king-gambit

@@pokejolt9908 yeah it didn’t perform well for me. I had other Pokémon that were much better at dealing with the types it was good against. Baxcalibur for dragon types, Glimmora for Fairy types and then King-Gambit for the defences from the Steel typing

Tbf most of the mons that are a good for solo are also good for co-op. Only difference between the 2 is that supports are also incredibly viable for co-op

Kingambit, Corviknight and Chi-Yu, I can agree as honorable mentions. But not Glimmora, I feel like it's a pretty weak Pokemon, cause it's dual type's not really that good. And Cyclizar isn't a worthy Pokemon being in the Top 10 Strongest Gen 9 Pokemon either, cause Dragon/Normal doesn't work well, especially since Drampa was bad even without that dual type. Also, while Paradox Pokemon aren't Legendaries, they still can be as powerful as Legendaries in my opinion.
Top ten gen 9 pokemon from 10-1: Maushold, Tinkaton, Armorouge, Skeledirge, Celuredge, Kingambit, Meowscarada, Dondozo/Tatsugiri, Annihilape and Gholdengo
This is a good list no lie but where is the best team list?
My final team ended up being meowscarada corvinite Azumarill ampharos garchomp and iron treads
Azumarill is a beast, i've never used it before but i'm glad I did

I think espathra is strong pokemon with the ability opportunity and with special attack lumina crash lowers it's better special defense 2x it's a strong pokémon

Hmm....the 3 startera all have good Evolutions and gimmicks. Quaquaval with Moxie, 295 in Speed and Aqua Step with 325 Attack is deadly as is my Unaware Skeliderge with Torch Song, S. Ball, Thunder Fang and Earth Power or my Protean Meowscarada whose Speed it nearing 400 and its attack at 320. That's stronger than Ultra Beasts ffs lol. I think they could take out the Zacian's and Incineroar teams of yesterday even too.

Houndstone is a pain in Showdown but he is way too slow to even get a Last Respects in most of the time and I always OHKO him anyways. Shedinja is the worst Pokemon on Showdown though I always quit haha because I just don't feel like fighting a Shedinja jackass with Wonder Guard or Leftovers/Sturdy.
