- The new chivalry 2 social servers have absolutely destroyed the dueling community. It is no longer possible to join a server and practice your mechanics, torn banner removing all rules has turned these servers into just a cess pool. What a horrible move to remove dedicated dueling servers. Hopefully this can be fixed in a future patch.

I saw my first hacker on a 64’s match the other day. Dude had a speed hack and insta kill on. Still didn’t stop his team from losing
i saw one too and console players can't option to votekick pc players, still needing 17 votes to kick makes it nearly impossible.
You've summed up the duelyard experience quite well. In addition to your points, the map is massive and spawn points are random so even if you do find a corner of the map where people are behaving, you have to run a marathon just to get back and you're likely to get RDMed, charged, or shot with an arrow on the way. Plus the browser is over-saturated with duelyard servers which leeches players from TO and FFA maps. Meaning your options are "five full duelyard servers" or, if you're lucky, "one FFA with 12 people" and no TO at all unless it's the evening.
I haven't played 1v1 Arena yet but it sounds like the duel mode in Chivalry 1, which was absolutely perfect. Limited time game modes need to go.

Facts, when the dual yard first dropped, the only place which seemed like a free for all zone was the pit in the middle. Otherwise nobody attacked you unless you flourished to initiate a dual.
I wish we could have both basically just give duel servers back or have some custom map rotation ones for duels and let social be for newer players and ppl who are messing around

yesterday it was my first time in social server, and you are correct its so bad right now, miss the ffa and duel servers
One time i was fighting this good player and we were evenly matched and we literally killed 3 or 4 rdm'ers before i killed him. They usually stop after u kill them constantly makes me feel bad for less advanced players who may not ve able to defend them selves as good
People have no idea what a duel is. The pit makes the games end quick. Agreed on this.

I havent played in 1 or 2 weeks but on the west coast duelyards at least we have the spike pit as the designated FFA place, and all the rest for dueling, we still were enforcing the flourish to duel rules, and kicked/executed all the RDMers. to me the duelyards have been a blast, but i dont know if the flourish rules will fade away with time since they are not enforced by moderation. But to me ive had very positive experiences, even more so than the old servers.
Yea same when he said the duel yard isn’t enforced I was confused for a sec, I was playing just yesterday and the day before and people who ffas in the pit go does that( I really like the pit, it’s literally dumb fun for me and I think it’s a very good addition), and otherwise people duel in their designated areas. There’s a lot of order. There was only one server where there were not much people to begin with and they were just rdming. When they realize they can’t even kill me through rdm they kicked me but it doesnt matter cuz the other servers are better.

The game in general seems very different. The fact that the servers cost money to rent is fucking bananas to me. Private matches cost money? Just insane. Are they that tiny of a company? Or do they just not care all that much

@@StridahsAngelsthat’s disappointing. They clearly have a loyal following so to abuse them by changing gong $70 a month to rent what is nothing more than a private match that anyone can join. I’m a game passer or that’s how I first began playing, I do follow rules and etiquette or try to learn them. I certainly hope they make an effort to respect their player base. Between you and soterdaves videos I’ve become much better quicker than I would have if I just learned it all on my own gradually. It’s a shame to see all the griefers but specifically the cheaters. This game is one of the few that feels like it’s skill based. Everyone has access to all the best weapons early in the game and can compete from the get go, it’s the best pvp I’ve found in a while.

I used to practically live in the Jedi Knight/Jedi Academy social servers and they only worked because 1) those games had a feature that let you challenge another player to a duel which would make you both immune to damage from all other players for the duration, and 2) the servers were run by the community and thus moderated by server admins who would timeout, kick or ban RDMs/lamers who couldn't follow the rules.
Jumped into some Chiv2 social servers recently and yeah, it sucks. I've been playing somewhat regularly since release and am finally trying to level up from Occasional Team Objective Pubstomper to Actually Kinda Good, but I don't know where to even go for that now.

Every game has it's cheaters and griefers. But problem is they usually do their nasty jobs sneaky without notice, in chivalry 2 however they boss around and mock decent players and they get away with it.
I've pretty much stopped dueling all together, because of this.

I didnt like duel yard much before and i still dont because of these loosers. The people who rdm kill you are doing it because most of them cant win a straight up fight and they dont want to be on the bottom with 0 kills. Or its a lvl 30 or something who just doesn't know any better. I guess theres that other type thats just sadistic and doesn't want anyone having fun. The devs suck so fn bad. Banning Dave..they remind me of politicians that i hate

Words of advice, if you plan on votekicking in the social server you need to really look at how many kills/deaths they have. If they have only 2 kills and 5 deaths it's probably not worth votekicking the player because even if the 7 people hit yes to votekick; you'll likely not be able to get the addition 5 or so people needed to confirm the kick. Wait until they have a substantial number of kills/deaths, but don't always expect this to work because sometimes they will focus or be targetted by 1-2 people and not actually rdm enough people for the server to vote kick them. That being said; the best time to vote kick is right when a new social server round begins because no one is focused on dueling and thus more likely to notice the votekicking ui in the first place.
Sidenote- if you see a player named DonaldTrump they are one of the only serial rdmers who I have seen consistently be kicked the moment they join social servers just because they are so notorious for rdming. So if you see that username you have a high chance of insta-votekicking.

My question is, what counts as a good duel ? (I’m genuinely asking this is not me trying to be philosophical or some shit). Because if it’s just a 1v1 that ends with one side being dead then I’m seeing a ton of that on duel yard (atleast in europe). People seem to really like the new map and they seem to be having fun on it so I don’t really see where the negative parts are. Sure sometimes someone tries to ruin the fun by going into a 1v1 that’s actively happening and making it a 1v1v1, but I haven’t seen much of that. Now do keep in mind that I don’t play a ton of 1v1’s because frankly I just think their boring, since if i wanted to 1v1 I would go to a more complicated game like for honor where it feels like I’m having to put in more skill to win. I like the big cluster fights more because the chaos breeds a kind of fun gameplay where it’s just 64 players beating eachothers heads in which always gets a laugh out of me😂. But genuinely do tell me what you think is a good 1v1 because i want to understand your point of view
Good 1 v 1 to me is a challenging even fight, not just shit stomping someone
A good duel is one where some low life looser doesn't jump in and try and kill you or who you are dueling. If you aren't seeing this every duel server you go to then I wish I was in your servers

They gotta add a forsure 1v1 area that you have to confirm. And anyone on the outside cant interfere. That sucks i would be mad too. I dont duel because i suck but if i wanted to that would be terrible

I just found the game a few weeks ago. Immediately loved it and then I realized how poorly it is maintained. I get put into a match that has seconds left in the game every single time I start a session. I don’t get why they won’t combat the cheating for a game that seems to have such a small community.
Was it this bad when it was originally released and they just don’t care enough to maintain the game in order to keep their player base that’s still playing entertained?

The map is cool but there's just so much interference now i duel for the practice and to maybe pick up on something but now after id say every 5-10 duels someone just runs up and hits someone

I see a hacked speedfigher every so often. Once a week maybe. We always clear them out but while doing so they accumulate at least 100 kills 😅

Most social servers I've played on allow rdm only in the pit, and votekick people that violate it pretty regularly. At least on NA East.
While this is true, it still sucks having a constant battle trying to bully them out because votekick works like 1 out of 10 times
Actually tried to report a player for false votekicking me on these servers. Even after it was said that it wasnt allowed by one of the devs.
I was told that it was "up to player discretion." Lmao

I've been playing the game a little bit over a year, loved it at first but now that cheating is getting straight ridiculous just tried to get into a training grounds just to warm up and the cheating is ridiculous we have people moving like The Flash and people just not dying when you hit them, sorry to say I probably won't be playing this game too much longer😢😢,

Eh i love the game but i have definitely slowed down since the last update. Helldivers 2 has my attention, chivalry 2 is my fall back game whenever im burnt out of others.

I have found Duel Yard to be super entertaining. Playing on NA West, I get plenty of good duels, lots of fun, harmless trolling and silly behavior, with only the occasional RDMers with I either just bully until they leave or they get kicked.
Why they thought this wouldn’t need any policing is beyond me… Just that more obvious that they don’t really know their player base…. Disappointing! Angel Squad! 🫡🫡🫡
