Excellent trip report Jeb - thank you! I've lived in Chile for over 25 years and the reason for more of a breakfast service rather than a lunch service is that most Chileans have lunch after 1 pm, even as late as 3 pm on weekends!
Thanks for clueing in those who were so typically Gringo clueless.
This is true and typical in Latin America. I live in Colombia and the restaurants, especially on weekends, are slammed from about 1pm until 4pm - which is considered lunch still. My gringo friends make fun of me for eating lunch at 3pm.
I was surprised to learn this was different in other parts of the world as a peruvian, I was always used to eating from 2-3 pm
@@johnjoseph3667yes good to know that Latinos don't won't much in the morning
Jeb, it’s an honor you recognize our Juan Valdez Coffee as the best in the world. I am Colombian and it’s a complete joy to hear this. Thanks and please, come to our beautiful country COLOMBIA!!! 🇨🇴
Hi Jeb, huge fan from Mexico. I believe in most of central and South America lunch is between 1-4 pm, that could be why you got breakfast service at 11. Keep doing awesome videos!
Did anyone notice that old first generation 737 while the plane was taxiing?
I see it every time when I taxi there.
So nostalgic.
Hello Jef, thanks for your reports. I very much appreciate the civilized and friendly way you give your opinions. It's so refreshing to witness constructive criticism. All without the, nowadays so common, harsh undertone. It's a pleasure to be a guest at your channel!
*Jeb
Latam safety video is probably the best and most entertaining in the air
Jeb, I think you'll get a laugh out of this...
When I was watching the video, about a minute after your joke about McDonalds being the US Embassy, CZcams popped up an ad for... McDonalds!
That’s hilarious! Guess we should both head out for a Big Mac! 🤣
@@GreenerGrass Love your videos Jeb!
Great review. Nostalgic to see the 787 in the config that I first flew in 2016 as LAN Chile just before they merged. They were running SYD-AKL-SCL and we caught the first leg as a family of 4. I didn't find the 2-2-2 layout an issue on the 4 hour flight as we didn't consider laying flat but I do see the point. For a short-ish leg, it's still better than the NZ 1-1-1 layout that is still being flown across the Tasman Sea. The best thing about the review though is that the crew are still as fantastic as we found when we flew. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional!
I really appreciate that you show the airport terminals in your videos. Nice job, as always.
I always appreciate your reviews as they are more constructive and possibly even a little encouraging! Well done Jeb!!
Love your videos Jeb! Thanks for bringing us cheerful and awesome travel content!
Keep in mind that lunch in Latin America isn’t until 1-2pm. Even many “US Embassies”, as you call them, with the Golden Arches start lunch service at noon, and sometimes 1pm. Great info!
-Latin- South America
Great trip report! That looks like a pretty spacious seat, love the scenery :) Hope to fly LATAM one day.
Always a pleasure watching your videos and travels!
YO I'VE FLOWN THIS ROUTE! Peru's probably my favorite country outside the United States.
It seems like a smooth flight experience.
Great video as always.
Keep it up.
Another great trip report. What a gorgeous business class seat!
Thank you for the video! Have a lovely week!
Another great look into another airline and airport.
Excellent review Jeb, keep up the great work!
Great vlog as always! South America is on my bucket list. Be safe!
Love the dreamliner wings!
Not with all that speed tape on it!
Excellent job Jeb!
Love your videos..you have a tranquil voice 👌
Excellent trip! ✈️
The man who makes my day great thanks for the great content Jeb. You are my idol i wish to meet you one day.
Thanks for another great review, I hope than Latam fly back to MEL soon.
ovely!! Loved the review :))
Looks very comfy. I hope to fly it someday.
Absolutely fantastic trip report as per usual Jeb! Latam has always struck me as a good airline, but maybe not quite as good as Avianca!😸
Great! I hope you enjoyed your stay here in Chile.
Great video! Last time I was in Chille my family was forced to evacuate after protests broke out against the train and bus services. It was SCARY!!!
I’ve traveled with Latam to Peru and I think it’s a pretty good airline. I hope you enjoy your stay in Peru :)
Amazing
I love the unscientific Jebscore 🥰🥰🥰
Perfeito!!!
I still love these seats instead of the newer ones to come, when I travel to Tucson on "the Chilean flagship".... Fancied your video quite a lot...cheers
Thanks for this vlog. You two fly safe. Ciao. 2022.
Nice flight report. I like the desert in Chile.
Lovely
One of the main things to take from this video, for me, is that I would rather fly economy on this layout because I'd book a window seat where possible and would feel like I'd disrupt a fellow passenger more to gain access to the aisle in business class.
Ah...Jeb. I've said it before but I'll say it again. Things that, would in others result in a rant, with you results in great positivity, which makes for a nice and informative watch....:)
Hi Jeb.
I agree, that the meal choice should have been closer to a lunch-style.
Those seats do really looking amazingly comfortable 🙂
I did not know LATM flew 787. Now I have to find a flight. I don't know if Juan Veldez is the best but it is pretty darn good coffee. While in Colombia, espresso with carme at JVl was a daily treat for me 😀
Thanks for the review, Jeb! I am doing the exact same route as you, originally booked on LA650, same flight as you but the flight got changed to an earlier timing, fortunately the aircraft operating on my flight is a 787-8. Looking forward to flying on this airline soon!
Juan Valdez coffee REALLY IS the best! I’ll be in Perú in a few months and plan on buying loads.
Good job
Suzanne: Coffee! Coffee! Coffee! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nice Jeb!! Notice you are a watch collector. Nice Tudor GMT!!!
The wide bodied is only offered flying in our out of Santiago. I have flown this route for over 25 years. I personally enjoyed the 767 1-2-1 configuration on the same route. I enjoyed your video, we hope to see you in Chile soon!
Hello Jeb!!! Nice video. You should do one on boutique air. They use the Pilatus PC 12.
Nice video 📹
Jeb. Delta employee here. I've met you before. We love your channel 👍👍👍✈️✈️
Thanks for saying “hi” again!!
Nice one
09:35. Shows how customer service is so important. It often overrides other lesser negative issues.
I still hope to see some trips in Brazil. And maybe one day see you flying the longest 737 max route in the world right now from Brasilia (BSB) all the way to Orlando (MCO) with Gol. I agree Latam isn't the best when it comes to business class, my parents flew their business on the A350 back in 2019 and was the same interior. Is good enough to sleep but for sure not industry leading in anyway. I think right now the best business in south america is probably from Azul Brazilian Airlines. But since I only fly from Canada to Brazil and vice versa, I always use Air Canada, the only company connecting both countries right now. Latam flew to toronto with a stop over in JFK maybe one day they will do it again since they are expanding to many destinations in the USA.
Ten years a go I took that flight before the LAN and TAM fusion, at that time the route was operated by LAN Peru. I went to Chile to visit my former girlfriend and when I returned to Mexico City the flight was re scheduled for couple days later, in that moment that wasn’t a bad thing, but when time finally arrived there were lots of issues, first one was that the handling personal told me that I couldn’t take my 2 suitcases with me and I must pay around 100 usd for extra weight, and the woman that told me that was the same one that took the payment directly (she didn’t let me go to make the payment to the airline office).
Then on the plane there was a high age person on my seat by the window and the flights attendant was to rude and told me that was an elder person and I must assist her too. Back on land a military officer told me that I had to make a security inspection and i must have take place on a huge line, when I asked why she told me that if I had something ilegal with me she would take me to jail in that moment so I make the line, in that moment I just have an hour to go to my departure boarding room, I didn’t knew where it was and also there was a constant announcement that kindly says “passengers we remember you that at Jorge Chavez terminal we didn’t make announces, stay tuned of you flight” I didn’t knew if be happy or afraid about that.
Finally I was at the end of an interminable line and the personal there told me that I haven’t to stay at that control and my flight was just about to be closed and they were looking for me, so they asked someone if can go there for me in a vehicle. After that I came very quickly to my boarding door and the flight was very good. At my home couple days later I had a phone call for a survey about my experience, when I told all this they said me that I haven’t make any payment because my destination county was Mexico and Lima was a transition city only, and the luggage restrictions apply only at the destination place, so they were very kindly and gave me a couple thousand miles for my next flight, that used at the end of the year to have an upgrade to premier class. And that was a completely different history, it was an awesome flight and this video made me remember that experience. Cheers
I went to Santiago four years ago and loved it. Did you go up the Costanera Centre? The views from the top floor are amazing.
Welcome to Peru handsome boy!
I'd say Azul is the best in South America. Great airline.
Hello. TQ for sharing this is really Fantastic & Nice💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌I'm From nigeria
Thank you for your always fun report
I would be very happy if you could get a report on Japanese airplanes and Shinkansen someday.
You should come to Australia and try out our train lines. The Ghan, the Overland, the Indian Pacific, and the Great Southern.
That looks like a really nice lounge, and that early I get the need for a hot drink. Tea, but still.
On the plane I really appreciate the rack for LPs just in front of the console between your seats.
In flight gramophone player, anyone?
Anyone that offers me wine with breakfast is a friend for life! I think they served breakfast as that's traditionally later than we have it in the Northern Hemisphere!. Which is why I have so few friends, I guess.
Does it make me an aviation nerd if my Lock Screen background is the OneWorld logo, and my Home Screen background is the Star Alliance logo, and I binge watch Jeb Brooks?
you should try westjet at some point. I'd like to hear your thoughts on them
The joke about McDonald's being the US Embassy: I'm lovin' it! ;)
Yes Juan Valdez Colombian coffee is great. You have a good argument with that.
Gracias a chile peru puede viajar amo mucho mi chile 🇨🇱❤️
Well done Jeb! I would love to sit next to my wife, while in business class. I don't mind this arrangement. Lufthansa does this occasionally in business
It has to be hard to see that small screen with it being so far away. Don’t like the seat layout, but it works. They definitely should have served lunch also. Nice review again.
Great video! Do you think that you could try the new service on British airways 787-8 from PDX(Portland, Oregon) to LHR(London Heathrow)
🔥🔥🔥🔥
your watch collection is absolutley unreal Jeb! should do a side video on the watches you own but i also like that you dont bring much attention to them in your vids
Greetings from ORD. Does LATAM have plans to serve ORD? Currently, I believe our only route to South America is UA to GRU. Excellent video.
virgin atlantic just announced they are flying from London to Austin, Texas using the A350 1000. inaugural flight for you to do 😃
Please do an appreaciation video on the ground workers. I just started working for them in my local airport, and there is a whole lot that goes on the behind the scenes. We even clean the planes, and dont get to leave until 2-4am.
I am just curious but do you know when you are going to post the rocky mountaineer video?
Probably on Saturday!
Ok thanks 😊 can’t wait to watch it
Omgee my friends and I I call McDonald's the US Embassy abroad too go figure🤣🤣🤣 great video once again
Good job Jeb Next All Hubs In One Day On American Airlines ?
Have a blessed day CZcamsrs
Thanks for the video! Enjoy the rest of your time in South America. I'm really looking forward to your return home, though, because I'm really interested to see your take on the new La Guardia airport renovations. From what I've been seeing so far, LGA has done very well, albeit the complexity of getting to/from ground transportation.
@5:53 - That 732 has quite the history! And the a/c you’re flying on is quite the busy body. Today, she’s going from SCL - LIM - SCL - JFK...I guess that’s a good thing given so much of their fleet is grounded. I wonder why they eft ONEWORLD. Any idea why?
What if you revisited Amtrak’s empire builder? They are starting to buy new diesel locomotives and are testing them on the empire builder.
Good
Hey what’s your favorite plane? Also could you do a trip report to IND? (Indiana)
Try out Americans A321TNeo, economy it’s different from the normal a321 neo it’s meant for long haul. Since your in Lima, American has a direct flight on the a321tneoLima to DFW or Miami try out the longer one to DFW. Cheers!
Hi Jeb, you always seem to mention the windows, what exactly is wrong with them??
7:08 It always get me laughing when he expects the airplane table to be large enough to work and eat at the same time hahaha
To be honest I find it weird to work in an airplane
3:37 I absolutely cracked at this! Nice joke Jeb :)
I found the US Embassy in Amman's Queen Alia airport yesterday. Unbelievably, it couldn't do me a McMuffin.
Can't remember ever having seen a bad video review of LATAM.
Nice!
I saw this route on flight radar 24
Hi Jeb. You mentioned that Delta was going to get some A350’s from LATAM with those seats. Do you know what Delta will brand them? I personally find those not worthy of Delta One branding…
How can Delta have brand new Delta One Suites on some A350’s and those on the others?
Thanks!
Juan Valdez Coffee “the best”
Please review Avianca Business Class?
Is there a patent yet on the Jebscore?!!
Are yougoing to do more airport videos? I loved your expose' of SeaTac.
Yes! There are a couple coming up soon!!
I got sick in Peru 5 weeks ago, needed to change and use my return ticket to the States for me and my wife, showed them the medical certificate from the Dr. That was taking care of me stating “ needs to go back home soonest “ LATAM PERU did not give a … about my request instead make me way 3 days to accommodate me and my wife but that’s not all I had to paid 1400 dollars for my retuning tickets even though I had my tickets for the 16 of June to come home. This was on May the 20th. As soon as got out of LAX I was taken to the hospital where I stayed for 9 days. I’m working on a complaint with INDECOPI and I really hope they’ll do something. Remember this is LATAM PERU. Thanks for reading.
Great trip report Jeb! I’d recommend trying out Aeromexico’s B787 on an international trip!
