- Dehydrated fruits are amazing for all sorts of things, especially desserts and cocktails. They can also be ground down and used to garnish certain dishes. This is a foolproof method that works every single time, whether you have a dehydrator or not.
Here you can find the dehydrator I used - www.luvele.com...
Recipe -
Fruit of Choice, Washed (I Used Lemons)
Dehydrator or Oven
Method -
1. Set the dehydrator or oven to 50.c - 122.f.
2. Lay the thinly sliced fruit onto the racks or cooling racks if you're using an oven and leave for 16-18 hours or until crispy and chewy.
3. Store in airtight containers and can be kept for up to 1 year.

I dehydrate them and keep a jar on my desk. Its a wonderful pick me up to open them and take a smell. Smells like summertime.😊
Oh wow! Up to a year, that’s pretty good. Might be a nice thing to do in time for Christmas.
It’s always a benefit to making these that they last so long. They really transform anything you add them too
@@ChefJackOvens which typ off Owen you used pleas tell me
I need this cost pl
@@mudassirbagwan2973It appears to be the Luvele Breeze Food Dehydrator & Biltong Maker. (I saw the ‘luv’ brand on the dehydrator then google searched for the design).

I have the same dehydrator, love Luvelle. I’m going to do tomatoes this year and try to make a powder . I dehydrated coriander and it has a beautiful flavour very similar to fresh
I wouldn't mind dehydrating fresh herbs. I have so many small glass containers which I recycled just for that. A shame that I keep buying supermarket dried herbs. How much does that dehydrator cost?
I was thinking to do packaging and doing business of selling dried fruits and found your video. Thanks for sharing this dear. Brilliant idea. Love from Pakistan. ❤
How's your Business?
Good luck with your business, hope you’re doing well❤
I found a jar from 3 seasons ago & was surprised they still tasted as good as the day i dehydrated them!
Yours look lovely and crisp!😊
Thank you! We love going for oranges or blood oranges
I like this tool
Because the dehydrator works at such low temperatures of say 50°C, I reckon they could be fitted to solar panels and a battery. Would be nice if they made 12/24/36 volt DC dehydrators and then you could bypass DC-AC inverter.
Good idea! I sundry all our tomatoes on the back windscreen of our car (on a tray) on a hot day. Crack the windows open an inch and place a sheet of paper towel over your fruit. 😊
@@ralsharp6013 That's amazing and funny. Not only are you getting dust-free, dehydrated veggies, but it must be fun for all passers-by.
@Ash_G Grins! Actually, there's been a few times I've driven to the supermarket in town and forgot I had swiss chard or tomatoes drying in the car..
I tend to notice the cracked windows now a days🤣
@@ralsharp6013 Your car must smell like a wonderful vegetable stock cube. 🤣
Heaters can't be AC
Brilliant! I used to try and do it in the oven but I never left them for that long.
Could you please tell me How would you dry them in the oven ? cause I have no intention to buy a dryer machine
Thanks chef Jack! Love from Ghana! Get all ur recipes.🙋♀️

Nice job.. please what's the name of this dehydrator?
Hi
Thank you for sharing this very useful information with us. I am in Dakar, Senegal. I work in the processing of local fruits and vegetables. I would really like to have a dehydrator like this to be able to successfully complete this particularly interesting activity. Unfortunately dehydrators are not found here in Senegal. Can you tell me where I can find it and how much it costs?
Thank you and good to you
Use a slicer and you will always have the perfect thickness.
Can you keep them longer if u use a o2 bag
Can we dry onion and garlic?
You can yes
Yes I think that
thank you Chef
Were can I buy this
If you vacuum seal the jar with the dried fruit. How long do you think the life span would be?
They last many years like that 😊
From where I can get this
Thanks for this good explanation. But what I wonder is that after long use of the plastic edges, small micro particles end up on the fruit and vegetables
Do you put em in hot water when wanting to eat?
Nope. You use these as garnishes for drinks, crush them up and use them on desserts. They can also be used to infuse dishes
What is the brand name of dehydrator?

Aoa I am Ahmad Saleem from Pakistan I am interested for fruit and vegetable drying busness at home level plß guide me far perchaning this machine please tel me about this ❤ 🎉
So I did this and I’m not sure if they’re dry enough. They snap in half but the flesh is slightly sticky, should I cook them longer?
Or rather dehydrate them longer😅
If they’re not crispy and still have moisture in them, dehydrate for longer
My dehydrator only goes as low as 158 degrees. I could make it work.
Where to buy dehydrate machine
“Here’s how to make dehydrated lemons easily at home”
option 1: dehydration machine
option 2: oven for a whole day
That’s really easy. You don’t have to do anything.
@@ChefJackOvens Nice! I always bite the dehydrated lemons in my cocktails. Is that normal because it doesnt taste very good
I wouldn’t personally eat them. They’re there for infusion 🙏
What knives do you use ? That thing is beautiful
I use koi knives 😊 this one in particular is sujihiki and is more of a fish knife but felt it was necessary for this www.koiknives.com/collections/koi
Factz!! 💯
Dalstrong 💪🏽
?
I got a glance of your knife & it looked like the Dalstrong Valhala series of knives. a Santoku or a Hybrid Cleaver.
Regardless, very nice knives 🔥
If you search them up, I have the Crusader series in my knife roll & I love it. Never really seen any other knives like them 💯

18 hrs ? I’m worried about the electricity bill
Exactly
They’re low wattage
Just do it on a cold day then
Energy prices gone up
Can’t afford to make these
It wouldn’t even cost $2 the lemons cost more
