I'm really starting to recognize the Asian presence in Jamaica. Matter fact an Asian woman from Jamaica helped give birth to Reggae. Her name was Ms. Pat Chin. An Asian lady is the GODMOTHER of Reggae. LOOK IT UP.
‘Out of many one people’ is very real. I’m a Brit with Jamaican parents we have a whole mix of Middle Eastern, Celtic, Chinese, Slavic and of course majority African blood in our veins. Many Jamaicans are of mixed ethnic heritage, but with a very strong Jamaican sentiment and attitude. I’ve realised over the years that characteristic is an unbreakable common bond among Jamaican people, regardless of ethnicity. I have never seen or heard Jamaicans pick out, obsess over race, chat derogatory remarks or treat fellow countrymen with different ethnic background like they’re dirt the way Americans do. The US is unique and quite horrific in that respect. They could take a leaf out of Jamaica’s book, it’s not too late. 🙏🏽
@TRUTHTEACHER2007 Yes, Chinese folks are part of JA society. But for heaven sake, Jamaica Chinese folks did NOT invent Jamaican reggae. Black Jamaicans invented reggae music.
@urbannuance5151 Stop that blasphemy. A Chinese woman did not invent Reggae. Stop that culture vulture lie. You do not know Chinese folks exist in JA, because like folks who have no clue about culture, history, human dna and geography. Here's a fact that will surprise you, there are Vietnamese folks in Grenada.
@@TRUTHTEACHER2007 Why don't you go ask other races, to prove that they invent music and arts that their ethnic group created. I do not have back and forth with WS and their stooges.
