    In this scene, when Bruce and Bob Wall start the fight with their hands crossed, Bruce makes THE FASTEST ATTACKS EVER FILMED ON TAPE IN THE MOVIES HISTORY!!! There were never filmed attacks with such speed, not with Vam damme, Norris, Jet Li, Jackie Chan or Steven Seagal. And please note that these were filmed in real motion, not slow motion like Jackie Chan for example uses to do. There has NEVER been someone faster than Bruce Lee. Period

    Bob Wall did his job pretty well. He was very effective in all the fight scenes. Bob Wall made Bruce look more brilliant in their fight scenes because of the way he handled his role as a villain opponent. I salute Bob Wall for that...

    I first saw ETD as a kid when it first came out in a drive in. The scene where he jumped on top of Bob Wall and killed him in slo-mo spooked me so bad that it stayed with me for years. I still get the same feeling when I watch it on youtube, but nowhere like when I first saw it. Bruce was an amazing martial arts actor and set the standard for today's films.

    He made four physically demanding films in the space of a year, he was determination to be physical perfect, and on top of that he was writing Game of Death, Choreographing, Directing Game of Death, running his martial arts schools, teaching Jeet Kun Do, acting in Enter the Dragon and Game of Death. I actually think a combination of stress, exhaustion and the pain killers is what killed Bruce Lee

He is the greatest martial artist and fighter ever, yet everything to do with Bruce fighting in a real fight has to do with suppositions and vague and sketchy claims of what he did that is never substantiated. Embarrassing to say the least.

    @chessten Před 10 lety +2

    I see a lot of people commenting on his speed, including the interviewees in thi video. Indeed Bruce Lee was fast, very fast. But his forte was never about how fast he can be. He admitted and realized the fact that there would be a day he would meet someone faster than him, and he needs to have something that depends beyond just speed. That is how he started his Jeet Kune Do, the way of the intercepting fist. His art strives him to be able to intercept and more cunning, eg a kick that seems to hit the calf would swing midway to your head, etc. These were exhibited in all his movies barring the first one. And to be fast, he discarded most of the exaggerated classical movements of traditional Chinese Kung Fu.

    I used to be a HUGE Bruce Lee fan. Since I was a boy. Enter The Dragon was the first Bruce Lee movie my father took me to see along with one of his friends. Blew me away. As Bruce does the first time you see him on on the big screen...assuming you had never known of him before. As you'd never seen a Chinese man move like him nor look like him. The martial arts was different from what had come before his films and after. But I think he simply introduced his brand of MA at the right time. When most people thought MA was still a fringe art. When people had only heard of Karate, Judo and Chinese Kung Fu. Vaguely.
    For all the hype that has been going on around his films...I now decades later think they are grossly overrated. So much was unnecessary (e.g. being an old factory worker with Kali sticks maybe 20x when one blow would have sufficed...heck...one kick...that old guy by the jail cells was no math. None of the weapon holding "guards" in the underground cave were qualified to use those weapons. Was a laugh. Then again who would ever be down there that shouldn't? Since they controlled who came to the island...which was a short boat ride from Hong Kong. LOL!!
    On the island. Notice how every one was practicing Japanese Karate? How every one of the competitors they brought to the island were Karate guys? Why would they do that? The idea was to bring the best talent from around the world. Should have had the best western boxer (Ali) , best Karate guy (Chuck Norris? Joe Lewis?). Best Grecco Roman wrestler...etc. Best Pancrase guy..etc. Why were there no Chinese Kung Fu experts? Chinese island. Chinese people. near Hong Kong. :) Heck...Bruce Lee's character and Mr. Han were supposed to be ex-Shaolin monks. Why did they not fight using Shaolin Kung Fu??? Hmmm..
    Mr. Han (Shiek Ken) clearly had no martial arts background. He looked clumsy. And he was the final bad guy Bruce Lee had to fight??? Cuts with the "knife blade hand" would have been more than surface wounds. NO stabbing??
    John Saxon...left to fight a few hundred guys in the tournament area. He would have been dead. One man Vs many is a NO WIN. Even against 3-5 attackers. :) Why did they hae the American hostess killed? Why would they kill her? If anything the guys on the island might end up sexually abusing her since there was no one to keep them in check any more. She was the American babe host.
