This. People tend to not notice but in all his movies, during the boss fights, he almost always beats the boss with some type of mma move, usually not a punch or a kick.
If I was one of Bruce's friends and noticed all the work he was doing was taking a toll on his mental and physical health I would've said "Bruce you need to rest, take a break for a year, Game of Death will still be there"
In this scene, when Bruce and Bob Wall start the fight with their hands crossed, Bruce makes THE FASTEST ATTACKS EVER FILMED ON TAPE IN THE MOVIES HISTORY!!! There were never filmed attacks with such speed, not with Vam damme, Norris, Jet Li, Jackie Chan or Steven Seagal. And please note that these were filmed in real motion, not slow motion like Jackie Chan for example uses to do. There has NEVER been someone faster than Bruce Lee. Period
Bob Wall did his job pretty well. He was very effective in all the fight scenes. Bob Wall made Bruce look more brilliant in their fight scenes because of the way he handled his role as a villain opponent. I salute Bob Wall for that...
bimzki1 Yes, Bob Wall's villainous O'Hara, with the knife scar running down his forehead and cheek, was one of the greatest, indelible bad guys I ever saw in a film. A huge contribution to Enter The Dragon
I first saw ETD as a kid when it first came out in a drive in. The scene where he jumped on top of Bob Wall and killed him in slo-mo spooked me so bad that it stayed with me for years. I still get the same feeling when I watch it on youtube, but nowhere like when I first saw it. Bruce was an amazing martial arts actor and set the standard for today's films.
He made four physically demanding films in the space of a year, he was determination to be physical perfect, and on top of that he was writing Game of Death, Choreographing, Directing Game of Death, running his martial arts schools, teaching Jeet Kun Do, acting in Enter the Dragon and Game of Death. I actually think a combination of stress, exhaustion and the pain killers is what killed Bruce Lee
Balance is the key to a long life....the ability to balance rest with work...family with work ....you name it but balance is always needed in life .Bruce Lee was unbelievably gifted both physically and mentally !! Who knows what he could have accomplished had he not died so young! Bob Wall was also a fantstatic martial artist and execellent actor! I admire him for both qualities.
its a PLEASURE to watch bruce.a TRUE MASTER of martial arts.jet li chow yun fat and many others are very good but they are followers but BRUCE was a leader, a visionary way ahead of his time.THANKS for sharing this MIGUELS.
so if anyone still thinks bruce lee is JUST A ACTOR and really wants to look like the biggest idiot of all time. Just go to the ufc site look at his right up and look at what the top guns of cage fightting say about him and have given him, the title of THE GODFATHER OF MMA. dont bitch about it, just go walk up to the man that started the ufc and cage fightting and fucking bitch about it too him, top boxers top cage fighters top basketball players, top body builder ALL give him respect
NOT EVEN THE BRUCE LEE , COPY CATS CAN COME CLOSE TO HIS KUNG FU- JKD !!!. THE POWER , THE FLEXIBLE ABILITY , THE SPEED , THE EMOTIONAL CONTENT !!. HE HAD IT ALL !!. NO ONE HAS EVER COME CLOSE !!.😰😱😎👍.
He's not just a actor HE started off in martial arts, infact he was part of the very first type of cage fightting, he fought on top of 7story buildings way up on the very top off the roofs, they have footage of one of the roofs that he would fight on and you could see people falling over steps and curbs it was deadly,So no bruce lee was not just a ACTOR. Infact why dont you go to the UFC website they have put a whole page to it saying BRUCE LEE IS THE GODFATHER OF MMA, thats from the FOUNDER
I have been following Bruce Lee since the 1960s. There is no one today that can match Bruce Lee speed and power. One time this guy Challenge Bruce in a fight. Witnesses said Bruce walk up to that guy and that guy mouth was bleeding blood. No one could see the punch that made that man mouth bleed. He apologize to Bruce and said you are a real kung fu Master.
Carl Parish, " no one can see the punch that made that man bleed" funny story, as is always the case when it comes to Bruce. He is the greatest martial artist and fighter ever, yet everything to do with Bruce fighting in a real fight has to do with suppositions and vague and sketchy claims of what he did that is never substantiated. Embarrassing to say the least.
Seems to me , the only one that beat him WAS him. he burnt himself out. & if there is an afterlife his still kicking the s**t out of someone ....or something. ME? I'd like to be 1/2 the man he was.
who said bruce lee was only actor first see his hong kong tv show all video and karate tournament 1967 his kick has real power a guy flying one and his two finger push up only actor did not do(bruce lee was real martial artist) his own fighting method jeet kune do only actor do not do this type of greatest........
U can compare Bruce Lee's movies to others like Jackie,Jet & Donnie's movies, there were some differences .Bruce have perfect & clean speed movements than any other stars even on today.Bruce's movies had much realistic speed compare to others movies.
I have to say this, they should've noticed Lee was acting funny and they should've said "Bruce we're shutting down production for a while, you need to take a break"
Bruce Lee always be the very best of the best. Others are good but none as Bruce. Am older but I still have his moves and kicks in my mind. He is and will be unforgettable martial artist and fighter
Many martial artist, action heros at present in the film field,we can see that movies at least once ..but Bruselees movies made in 1970s , still we can watch ,interesting to watch , his action, fighting style, talking style, screeming, this is the difference of Bruce&the others..he was a pretty and a smart acter in silver screen even today also..

I had been taking karate for a long period of time. I was still a teenager and working for a large grocery store. I did anything asked of me: night crew, cleaned and waxed floors, produce department, etc. There was this manager that would push at me about karate practice, and was very prejudice over the stardom of Bruce Lee in America. Finally, I quit! I was later rehired and the manager was fired for being racist. Finally, the man that rehired me told me a secret. He was a fifth degree black b

They had to slow DOWN the film =)) to show Bruce hit the dude. Otherwise it'd be too fast for the viewer to catch it. Like that Ali joke about he said he gonna hit someone and then says "did I hurt you?" :D
@guitarnashelter the great benefits ? In case you didn't do any research..he was baking it because the smoking is bad for the lungs, doesn't matter which smoke...and he was doing it only because he was a very nervous man...this is the only way not to be nervous...he didn't do it like most of you guys, just so they can be "high"
Reading about the challenge to the underworld, I was thinking, it would be fair, if the underworld present their fighters versus Bruce Lee and his friends (champions of martial arts competitions) to a MMA on a fair stage with a referee.
I see a lot of people commenting on his speed, including the interviewees in thi video. Indeed Bruce Lee was fast, very fast. But his forte was never about how fast he can be. He admitted and realized the fact that there would be a day he would meet someone faster than him, and he needs to have something that depends beyond just speed. That is how he started his Jeet Kune Do, the way of the intercepting fist. His art strives him to be able to intercept and more cunning, eg a kick that seems to hit the calf would swing midway to your head, etc. These were exhibited in all his movies barring the first one. And to be fast, he discarded most of the exaggerated classical movements of traditional Chinese Kung Fu.
Havent watched all of this yet, but is there any footage outside of a movie of Bruce Lee performing with nunchucks... Or him performing the famous "backflip kick" or somersault kick " was the" somersault kicl" fan made or his?
My dad took me to see Enter The Dragon as a kid. I was so awestruck that I asked him when we'd be back to watch another Bruce Lee movie. He told me next year he was making another movie called "The Exit of the Tiger". What a punk. xD I believed that for the longest time.
I used to be a HUGE Bruce Lee fan. Since I was a boy. Enter The Dragon was the first Bruce Lee movie my father took me to see along with one of his friends. Blew me away. As Bruce does the first time you see him on on the big screen...assuming you had never known of him before. As you'd never seen a Chinese man move like him nor look like him. The martial arts was different from what had come before his films and after. But I think he simply introduced his brand of MA at the right time. When most people thought MA was still a fringe art. When people had only heard of Karate, Judo and Chinese Kung Fu. Vaguely. For all the hype that has been going on around his films...I now decades later think they are grossly overrated. So much was unnecessary (e.g. being an old factory worker with Kali sticks maybe 20x when one blow would have sufficed...heck...one kick...that old guy by the jail cells was no math. None of the weapon holding "guards" in the underground cave were qualified to use those weapons. Was a laugh. Then again who would ever be down there that shouldn't? Since they controlled who came to the island...which was a short boat ride from Hong Kong. LOL!! On the island. Notice how every one was practicing Japanese Karate? How every one of the competitors they brought to the island were Karate guys? Why would they do that? The idea was to bring the best talent from around the world. Ever since I was about 5 years old, Bruce as been my HERO, I am 40 now and he is still my HERO.........
His sketches are works of art!!
Bruce Lee was ahead of his time with martial arts.Everything their doing in the UFC now Bruce Lee was teaching those moves back in his time.
This. People tend to not notice but in all his movies, during the boss fights, he almost always beats the boss with some type of mma move, usually not a punch or a kick.

R.I.P. Bruce Lee.....the greatest in many ways.

ETD enter the dragon was such a good movie, wow bruce lee did a great job, ESP for the year 1972-3. unbelievable
Bruce Lee did not believe in a perfect person, that was always more to learn. Part of his philosophy.
Bruce Lee is the greatest....
